https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=64510 --- Comment #8 from Michael Meeks michael.me...@novell.com --- It is wonderful to have a trace; it looks like something is bad around: #4 0xb00eee21 in oox::vml::ShapeTypeContext::onCreateContext(long, oox::AttributeList const) () from /opt/libreoffice4.0/program/../program/libooxlo.so but the trace is not so helpful. Pablo - what would be lovely is if you can binary chop the file in half - each time exporting it as .docx and loading it in libreoffice to reproduce the crash. Most likely you can chop everything out except this VML shape (a drawing of some kind). Clearly- save as a new file each time. Hopefully you can then remove the text and turn this into a tiny file we can use as a regression test: which would be even better - so the problem never comes back again. That also removes any confidential information (I hope). Without that it's going to be rather hard to fix this. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 55347] Auto update option to search only for major updates
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=55347 Petr Mladek pmla...@suse.cz changed: What|Removed |Added Status|UNCONFIRMED |NEW CC||ke...@suse.cz, ||tbehr...@suse.com Ever confirmed|0 |1 --- Comment #3 from Petr Mladek pmla...@suse.cz --- I add Kendy into CC who did setup the update mechanism. First, lets clear up the version naming convention. The version X.Y.Z consists of: + X - major version - new major release appears every few ears; brings new features and even very big ones; the initial release usually brings some regressions + Y - minor version - new minor release appears every half a year; brings new features and many fixes; the initial release usually brings some regressions + Z - micro versions - few bug fix releases appears regularly after each major or minor release; these contain only selected bugfixes; we do our best to fix regressions, critical, annoying, or trivial bugs and do not cause new regressions = each new bugfix release is more stable than the previous one AFAIK, we use the following strategy now. X.Y.Z users are informed when: + X.Y.Z+1 - any new bugfix release of the same major and minor release is available, e.g. 3.5.3 user is informed about 3.5.4, 3.5.4, 3.5.6 + X.Y+1.Z - new minor release of the same or higher micro version (bugfix-release level) is available; e.g. 3.5.3 user is informed about 3.6.3, 3.6.4, 3.6.5, 3.6.6; this user is not informed about 3.6.2 because the 2nd bugfix release has lower level of stability than the 3rd one. + X+1.0.Z - new major version of the same micro version is available; same logic as with minor release; it appears 6 months after the last minor release, so we do not expect any real revolution and unstability So, it might be possible to add a checkbox whether the user want to be informed about bugfix release or about minor releases on the same bugfix level. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 64789] FILEOPEN: docx opening with images containing drop shadows
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=64789 Joel Madero jmadero@gmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added Hardware|Other |All OS|Windows (All) |All Status|UNCONFIRMED |NEW Whiteboard|BSA |BSA, bibisected40 CC||jmadero@gmail.com Version|unspecified |4.0.0.3 release Ever confirmed|0 |1 --- Comment #1 from Joel Madero jmadero@gmail.com --- This one is a bit tricky, what I think happened is that prior to 4.0.0.3 release drop shadows on images for docx just weren't supported. What I can confirm is that prior to version 4 it looks like images imported correctly just without the shadow - now they import incorrectly with the shadow. Either way it's wrong but what I did was bibisect to at least give an idea as to where the code is, IMO this is not a regression, just not the greatest filter for importing shadowed images from docx. I have been able to confirm the issue on: Version 3.6.6.2 Platform: Bodhi Linux 2.2 x64 + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + As I've been able to confirm this problem on an earlier release I am changing the version number as version is the earliest version that we can confirm the bug, we use comments to say that the bug exists in newer versions as well. Marking as: New (confirmed) Normal - can prevent high quality and/or professional work High - broken enough with just regular shadowed images, seems like this could affect quite a few users.
