Hello

Dear administrators, as you can see, the request for information was not
addressed to me. The Issue is clear and unambiguous.

Rainer asked the question to the developer, design and UX teams... confirming
the Issue.

Menu commands have changed, I give the following new steps to reproduce.

1. Open the attached spreadsheet SeveralStyle.ods
2. Select A1, Format Conditional formatting Condition
3. Click to open Apply style list

The result is shown in the attached screenshot StyleList.png
The first item of the list (New style...) is hidden.

User has to scroll up to see this feature and, may be, user will not know this
feature exists.

Unfortunately I do not have a proposal to improve it.

Best regards
Pierre-Yves

But still missing page numbering.

There is a new problem with 4.1.0.0.beta1 - a huge number of footers (you can

Triggered by AskLibO
http://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/18111/transferring-graphs-from-calc-to-writer/?answer=18118#post-id-18118

I made tests:

Chart created in LibO 3.6.5 and updated in 3.6.6.2 as well as 4.0.3.3
Copied into Writer 4.0.3.3 original template
pasting
1 - ctrl+v
2 - as Star Object
3 - as GDI file
resulted in the lost of the date format (x-axis)

See attached file

The same chart copied into Witer 3.6.6.2
pasting
1 - ctrl+v
2 - as Star Object
3 - as GDI file
resulted
1 2 are correct no problem observed
3 - the right border of the chart is not to be seen in Writer, rest is OK

See attached files.

I used to be able to ;-) No idea how to trigger that but I guess it's a matter
of waiting until this is done:

void SAL_CALL InitUpdateCheckJobThread::run()
{
if (!m_bShowDialog) {
TimeValue tv = { 25, 0 };
m_aCondition.wait( tv );
if ( m_bTerminating )
return;
}

I imagine you'd want to know where the exception comes from - but this is for a
release build, so I'd be unlikely to get a good stack-trace ...

2013-05-27 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=51300

--- Comment #39 from Noel Power nopo...@novell.com ---
(In reply to comment #38)
 With LibreOffice 4.1.0.0.beta1
 Build ID: 3a2c2d2417101e45fe07cfd8358acf2204a98f3 on Ubuntu 12.04.2 x86_64

 We can see only the comments in comment-test.xls,
That's good, seems like things are working then
 dont work with coment-test-after-LO.xls
That's expected, this is an import problem ( where the colour of the import
note text is not what it should be ), coment-test-after-LO.xls like it's name
suggests is the previously imported file ( with badly imported colours )
exported ( which of course will now also contain incorrect colours ) I am
pretty sure if you open that file in Excel you wont be able to see the comments
either

2013-05-27 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=65028

   Summary: RTF: RTF sections and write protection
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Windows (All)
  Reporter: guido.gr...@godyo.com
  Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 3.6.6.2 release
 Component: Writer
   Product: LibreOffice

Problem description:
Creating sections and safe the document as RTF results in a different layout
after reopen.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create new writer document.
2. Write Foo Bar
3. Select the text (Ctrl + a)
4. Select Insert - Section ...
5. (optional) enable Protect WITHOUT password
6. Insert
7. Save as RTF
8. File - Reload

Current behavior: There are 3 sections and none of them is write protected.

Expected behavior: 1 write protected section with Foo Bar

I think the handling of \sec and \sectunlocked isn't correct.

Tested with 3.6.6.2 and 4.0.3.3
Operating System: Windows 7
Version: 3.6.6.2 release

zip file contains odt test file and its PDF conversion.

Coloured texts in professional reports are very important, to emphasize special
issues, so for me (and other professionals, I hope) this problem is classified
as MAJOR.
I tried to use again suggestion proposed by 58580 BugID (because I was already
informed of) this setting, but results doesn't change.
So I open a new bug request, attaching a zip file with very simple .odt file
and a PDF file with result of PDF internal conversion.
I must indicate that:
- same occurs with Writer an Calc components (I didn't test with others);
- colours for background (each for single word of full raw or cell) is printed
fine (both Calc and Writer), so problem is related to text colour only;
- if I underline the text, using normal Ctrl+U key, underlining is coloured,
but text not (as you can see in attached PDF);
- I tried to print using a PDF printer (Bullzip PDF Printer 7.2.0.1304), but
result doesn't change;
Last: this bug module push me to correct my hardware characteristics; but
entries are too much limited:
- hw: AMD64 double dual-processor Opteron
- OS: Windows NT x64 edition

Indeed, there is still a problem with the vertical alignment of formulas.
In the attached example, the vertical alignment of the second formula is wrong.
By the way, why not defining a notion of base line of objects and to add the
option to align the base line of the object with the base line of the text?
The current solution seems to be sub-optimal.

--- Comment #3 from Mustela mustela...@yahoo.es ---
Ok, now I check for versions 3.6.6.2 and 4.0.3.3.

*Test on WINDOWS XP (Pro, without antivirus) i386*

V. 3.6.6.2: the static instances on memory has been patched. When fast icon is
loaded (soffice.exe soffice.bin) and I execute Writer from Start menu (not
from fast icon), it seems loads 4 new instances: 2 soffice.exe, 1 swriter.exe
and 1 soffice.bin, but when is executed (relatively fast), removes these new
instances from memory.

V. 4.0.3.3: the start of applications is very similar to 3.6.6, and the problem
of memory is similar too. The difference is that no load 3 instances when fast
icon is in memory, load only 1 soffice.bin (removed when application is
runned).

*Test on WINDOWS v6.x (7 Pro N without antivirus) amd64*

All versions has been improved in loading speed than the other versions. It is
similar to XP, but only a little bit slow (problem of Windows, sure). The
loading instances seems equal.

*Installation/Uninstallation*

The Windows v6.x is order of 4X SLOWER than XP, but I sure that this problem is
by Windows.

---

IDEA: The problem of new instances, can resolve with executing a shell that
load soffice of memory instead of binary, with the same icons? If quick icon is
loaded on memory, it can execute very fast (like instantly). If not quick icon,
then call to binary at normal speed.

---

Good work improving performance. I'm grateful.

Saludos.

I rectify, not only load soffice.bin on 4.0.3, load soffice.exe too.

If load writer before quick icon is loaded on Windows boot, probably they new

Well, this may help find the cause, which would be very nice.
I confirm the behaviour of the minimal test case with openSUSE version 3.6 and

The way to reproduce the problem may be different, but at least it is

 Hi,
 French users found that the link is case sensitive with version 4. Range
 names containing lower cases are not recognised, this confirms what has been
 described in duplicate although earlier bug 61587 (eg in attachment 75824
 [details], replace Months with MONTHS and the link is again active)

So this is just a duplicate of the other two bugs?

Word completion stopped working for me long ago, still broken in v4.0.3.3.
The completion appears completely out of context and the suggestion is
ridiculous.
See the screenshot capture.

2013-05-27 Thread bugzilla-daemon

--- Comment #16 from KSN nair.remotelo...@gmail.com ---
Hi

How is possible to know if this bug has been taken up for development i.e.
change and testing? It's been more than 3 months since being reported (bug
61587) and so far there's been only some back and forth. Bug 61587 was closed
as RESOLVED since it was made a duplicate of this one.

So, where are we in terms of resolution of the real problem i.e. non-updation
of external links? The example file given with 61587 shows clearly that the
problem can be replicated by changing range names from lower case to Upper
case. But that's not going to help people who have many existing worksheets
which will suddenly stop working.

This is going to hurt Libre Office adoption and it's image.

Thanks for providing a quick fix guys.

KSN

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 46479] UI - FILESAVE WIN file dialog name pane empty

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46479

--- Comment #14 from sasha.libreoff...@gmail.com ---
Today I have reproduced this bug on 2 computers with Windows XP and LO 3.6.5
and 4.0.2.
Steps to reproduce:
0. Start LibreOffice
1. Click button Open and open any document in folder D:\1\
2. File-Export to PDF, click Export. Proposed empty file name

Currently I do not know why it is reproducible only on some computers and not
reproducible on others.

(In reply to comment #5)
 @Noel: or this one
 http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/
 ?id=a43cc9ec8dde4f311bcf8ff96e6a26d56b2abdcf ?

 These commits looks 'possibly related' to this issue in the bisect range.

I doubt this patch has anything to do with formatting in an odt document
