[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 66106] New: Writer won't auto-correct a contraction and capitalize the first word of a sentence at the same time.
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=66106 Priority: medium Bug ID: 66106 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: Writer won't auto-correct a contraction and capitalize the first word of a sentence at the same time. Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: Windows (All) Reporter: junkster...@gmail.com Hardware: x86 (IA32) Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.0.4.2 release Component: Writer Product: LibreOffice Any contraction that uses an apostrophe has to be auto-corrected. Like the words: isnt dont hasnt, etc. Even when auto-corrected, if you start a sentence with them, the program properly capitalizes them if you don't do it, yet flags them as being spelled wrong, and you have to auto-correct them to the proper spelling, capitalized, which seems rather redundant, since you've already auto-corrected the lower-cased same word. Then, when you start a sentence with one of these corrected words, and don't put the apostrophe in, they are auto-corrected to have the apostrophe, but not capitalized, leaving a new sentence like this: isn't it hot out today? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 66091] Updating styles at a Modified template prompt deletes header text
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=66091 David djrei...@gmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED Resolution|--- |NOTABUG --- Comment #8 from David djrei...@gmail.com --- I got some very helpful (and typically helpful, I might add!) help from oweng at AskLibO: http://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/19479/modified-template-gives-update-styles-dialog/?answer=19484#post-id-19484 Please see his post for fuller information on workflow, etc. MY SUMMARY OF THE SITUATION: 1. Essentially MY problem (at the moment) is a workflow/documentation problem. I had NOT set a page style which would retain the header/footer information for the document. Oweng's steps nicely describe what is needed to ensure that header/footer information survives template modification. 2. For header/footer information to survive template modification, on needs a PAGE STYLE that has header/footer ENABLED, and uses FIELDS ONLY for the information to be displayed (in Writer, Insert Fields Date | Time | P Num | P Count | etc.). By doing this, the headers/footers remain intact when the template is modified. 3. BUT (!!!) that is the ONLY way (so far as I can work out) for header/footer information to remain intact when a template is modified. If there is any custom or user input text in the header/footer, it WILL STILL DISAPPEAR when the template is modified. 4. I have checked this as carefully as I can. I'm not infallible, so would still be interested if there is any confirmation of (3.) above in particular. COMMENTARY: 1. This is reasonable, and it is good to have Oweng's steps as documentation in AskLibO. In my own case, it has resolved the issue, as my Body Page style (which follows First Page style) now has a header with the Title field, with Page Number/Count fields. This is SAFE and remains INTACT. Yay! (Thanks, Oweng.) This is why I have marked this bug report as RESOLVED NOTABUG. 2. However, this strikes me as counter-intuitive. NO OTHER USER-INPUT TEXT, e.g., like the rest of the document!, goes missing when a style (any style) is modified in a template. If I change a style, my Quotations paragraphs don't all of a sudden disappear. It is very strange to me that headers/footers should be any different. These are content areas of a specialized kind, but content areas all the same. 3. If my previous comment in 2. makes sense, then should this be filed as an enhancement request? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Closing the window no longer works, LO needs to be terminated(kill / Task Manager). - After the window got stuck and LO had to be killed, the document needs to be recovered using the document recovery wizard. Usually, this will recover a version which might be missing quite a time of editing before the save was attempted. - Saving to a new file using WebDAV USED to work sometime in the past, unfortunately I cannot really remember when this specific case last worked. Might have been (way) before the OpenOffice.org / LibreOffice split. - I get identical erroneous behaviour with LibreOffice 3.6.6.2 and 4.0.4.2 under Windows 7 x64, LibreOffice 3.6.6.2 (both the binary and the source packages) under gentoo Linux x64. - I get identical erroneous behaviour against both apache 2.2.24 mod_dav and WebDAV access to Alfresco versions from 3.4d to 4.2c inclusive. - I get identical erroneous behaviour both over https as well as using plain http through an SSH tunnel (avoiding SSL for testing/tracing purposes). - In the error case, no PUT is attempted on the WebDAV server. Instead, a number of PROPFIND and HEAD requests are issued against the new file name, which (understandably) all result in 404s; leading to the does not exist message shown in the UI. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 58995] ACCESSIBILITY: [a11y] Java SE JRE 1.7 Java Accessibility API not fully supporting LibreOffice UNO Accessibility API via JAB bridge
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58995 --- Comment #21 from V Stuart Foote vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu --- @David, (In reply to comment #19) Please can we first try to find the answer to that question: why i am not getting focus lost/gain events in SwingSet2.jar with JDK 1.7.0_25 (with included 2.0.3 JAB) and NVDA 2013.1 but getting it on JAWS 14.0? Normally I don't bother with 64-bit JRE, but I just ran through an installation of 64-bit JRE 1.7u25, activated accessbridge with jabswitch -enable and saw no issues with SwingSet2 demos run watching from JavaFerret-64.exe. Nor did I have any problems in an NVDA 2013.1 session which sounded all content on SwingSet2 demo. So going to say JRE1.7u25 and NVDA 2013.1 WFM with the SwingSet2 demo, but not true for LibreOffice. =-=-= But, to maybe help work through it. When you install the 64-bit JRE 1.7u25, it places both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the Java executables. Defaults are: C:\Program Files\Java\jre7 C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7 Installer then copies java.exe, javaw.exe, javaws.exe and WindowsAccessBridge-64.dll (or -32.dll) into the Windows system folders. 64-bit into the C:\Windows\System32, and 32-bit into C:\Windows\SYSWOW64. On a 64-bit OS, unless you configure system environment variables, the 64-bit java will be called by default, and it will use the 64-bit WindowsAccessBridge-64.dll. The corresponding WindowsAccessBridge-32.dll will be called when 32-bit java needs it. But before first use the Java AccessBridge for both the 64-bit and the 32-bit JREs must be set active by running jabswitch -enable from the respective Program Files directory. And likewise to deactivate jabswitch -disable from the respective directory. The SiwngSet2.jar demo bytecode can be run from either 64-bit or 32-bit java, and you can monitor accessibility focus and events from the corresponding 64-bit or 32-bit JavaFerret. Where, if you see the focus and attributes for accessibility events in JavaFerret, the AT tools will as well. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 53824] EDITING: Switch for auto-recalculation
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=53824 --- Comment #7 from Max Addler max.add...@dersbach.ch --- Does this still happen with 4.0.4 or 4.1.0.beta1/beta2? I still do not know. I am using LO 3.7.5.2 on Xubuntu 13.04 right now. If so could you please open a bug report with a test case? That would probably mean to create a spreadsheet file with 100 sheets, each of which with several hundred lines and several dozen columns. I refrain from that. Or posting my original file - which I cannot do due to its content. I sounds strange that despite auto calc being turned off we still spend a considerable time recalculating. The only idea that I have is that somehow your document contains a few shapes that force row height calculations. But that would still means that in ScFormulaCell::MaybeInterpret we would not call the interpreter so there must be something strange going on. I mentioned it earlier in one of the other bugs I filed at the same time (#53825, #53826, #53627, #53628, all of them probably not depending on this bug), but I would like to point it out here again: My sheet does lots of verification using conditional formats. Almost each of the million individual cells has a conditional format, which is mainly used to set the cell's background color depending on the cell's value. I do this as a visual validation feedback. Many of these validations use lookups (german function names VERWEIS or SVERWEIS) or summation functions (german function names ZÄHLENWENN, SUMMEWENN), and I suspect a heavy impact here. Furthermore, even with recalcuation off, validation seems to work partly (background colors are updated, but inconsistently - I have not investigated further). Maybe you can open a bug report with the test file and put perf in the whiteboard line. I am afraid I am not enough into LO debugging. Please let me know if my hint regarding the conditional formats was of any use to you. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
