However, at least for portuguese users (and probably for many other locales that use the comma as decimal separator, this forces a somehow cumbersome procedure: 1st - Open as text without conversion 2nd - Search-Replace all commas with any other character, e.g., semi-colon 3rd - Search-Replace all dots with commas 4th - Convert text to columns using semi-colon as the column separator. As I said before, it would be great to simply have the chance to define dot as the decimal separator when opening the file as it would save a lot of trouble. As it is the dots are understood as thousand separators and the commas as decimal separators and the results are unusable if we try to open files directly. Naturally if there is some good way of detecting the fact that the client launched from a terminal - [ is there a standard environment variable ] - then we could add that (potentially for all platforms), and ensure that we get a GUI dialog vs. console output but only if the console is interactive [ or somesuch ]. If you'd like to work on that, just re-open this as an Enhancement bug I'll provide some more code pointers [ but it's all in desktop/source/app that you'd want to hack on that ]. But when we count the numbering and the intervals, we only get 16, because numbers are not aligned with the ruler. Well, we can solve it like this I guess; numbering should be aligned and it should end at 16 instead 18. I think that Calc sometimes works around the issue by using fraction representation (represents numbers in numerator / denominator form) if it is possible but sometimes (like in your case) it can not. Usually in such cases you need to round the number to a certain decimal places you think it makes sense with ROUND operator. For example (=ROUND((43.271815-43.27181) * 100, 5)) if you want to round to 5 decimal places. However if you open it Google Docs proper it has no charts as per LibreOffice experience. What I wanted to say additionally is that adding a entry box into a pop-up menu is problematic. Only something like add custom could be added, which then triggers a dialog to enter a custom autocorrect entry. This is something that could be done easily.
