[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 71891] VIEWING: My equation is caged and parts are hidden.
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=71891 --- Comment #1 from Dominique Boutry dominique.bout...@laposte.net --- Not reproduced on same LibO version 4.1.2.3 on Win7. Could you try to adjust the setting [concerned formula being edited] Format Spacing Category Borders Top to 1 or 2 millimeters ? If it solve the issue : - leaving things in the state results in the modification for new and edited formulas of the current document only, - pressing Default on [concerned formula being edited] Format Spacing results in a system-wide setting (same status as Tools Options). https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=56444 --- Comment #7 from Owen Genat owen.ge...@gmail.com --- I see the same set of non-envelope page size here as shown in the attachment to comment #0. In my case I have a networked HP LaserJet 4050TN (without envelope feeder) accessed via CUPS using IPP. I believe the entries are pulled from the PPD file. I assumed that the lack of envelope entries (in my case) was due to my lack of an envelope feeder, but I am not certain of this. I am also not sure this is confirmation, but it may be. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 43692] FORMATTING text:use-soft-page-breaks not honoured
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=43692 Miklos Vajna vmik...@collabora.co.uk changed: What|Removed |Added Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED Resolution|--- |NOTABUG Assignee|libreoffice-b...@lists.free |vmik...@collabora.co.uk |desktop.org | CC||mst...@redhat.com --- Comment #7 from Miklos Vajna vmik...@collabora.co.uk --- Hi, (In reply to comment #0) The value of the text:use-soft-page-breaks attribute of the office:text tag is ignored (in FODT files, at any rate). I think that's intentional, see the quoted text in comment 4, A consuming application ... shall not depend on its existence. That attribute is emitted by Writer to help other applications, where the soft page breaks are, but ignored on import, as our layout is good enough to know that information on its own. Even if it was set to false before loading the document in Writer, it is always reset to true and text:soft-page-break tags are, as a result, scattered throughout the document. Correct. false means that *if* an application processes those tags in general, it should now process such tags for this document. But Writer never does so, that means setting that attribute to false won't change anything in the ODT importer. The effect is easily reproduceable by saving a document as FODT, manually changing the value of the text:use-soft-page-breaks attribute, reloading the document and saving it again. The attribute's value will now be true. As I mentioned above, this is on purpose. We don't need those tags, but we want to help other ODF processors by always writing them. Its value also isn't configurable from Writer, at least not anyway that I was able to find. Does that warant another ticket? Probably. That's right. In theory we could add a config option for that, but: $ git grep 'prop oor:name=' $(git ls-files officecfg |grep xcs$)|wc -l 2313 We currently have 2313 configuration option... I would rather avoid adding more, unless this attribute causes real problems -- but if it does, it's probably an implementation error in the ODF filter of some application, and than *that* should be corrected. All in all, closing as not-a-bug. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 71809] FILESAVE - DOC file loads well but saving as DOC / DOCX fails: document is almost blank except one image
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=71809 --- Comment #5 from l...@anderwijs.nl --- Joren, Indeed the correct orientation is landscape. I can confirm this by opening the file in MS Word. I've done some more testing on my own. The FILESAVE defect in question does not seem to be related to the DOC format per se. That is, at my WIndows workstation I've converted the .doc file to .docx and sent it to Ubuntu/LibreOffice. There, I could correctly open the file, but saving would again result in corruption. Could it have something to do with specific Macro's/tables used in this document? Normally I don't have problems writing to .docx. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 71881] Other: Calc Sort not recalculate cell values in last version 4.1.2.3
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=71881 --- Comment #1 from Dominique Boutry dominique.bout...@laposte.net --- My analysis (LibO 4.1.2.3 on Win7) : I understand that the light blue columns [A:G] contain the input and output, and that the others [H:R] contain formulas and intermediate results, with the same formula set in each line. When you erase an [A:G] area somewhere, there are no line moves, and only the [H:R] cells of the concerned lines are rightly updated. Should you suppress an area (whole lines) somewhere, all lines below are moved up by area_height lines, the [H:R] formulas are updated, and all remain OK. Now if you sort an area restricted to columns [A:G], the remaining columns are unchanged (correct behaviour ; see bug 65637) : may be undesired, but no matter for you because all lines contain the same formulas in [H:R]. However, it appears a bug (bug 71368) in this case, not exactly your case but somewhat related (Calc messed by a sort and leaving incorrect reference). https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=69320 --- Comment #6 from Hungerburg p...@myzel.net --- Merci bien Jean-Baptiste for your helpful comments, I am learning new things about libre office every time. Yet, again, this too is something different from what this issue is about, a proposed enhancement for reading data from the web. PS: I am in control of the web service that data comes from, so I just changed the rendering to make LO able to use it. I just stumbled upon the missing feature -- If there is a business case, I do not know though; maybe CSV is dead and html tables rule the game nowadays, ms-excel also only can slurp those… Still, it probably is very cheap to achieve, maybe just have the csv filter populate some internal structure that is left empty now and others, that are not as fortunate as I am, might be helped with it. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

How to reproduce: (1) Open new Impress Presentation (2) Insert - Slide (3) Click on Click to add text and type Text (4) Mark the word Text (5) Click Edit - Cut (Cmd-X) Result: The cursor jumps to the start of Text, but the word Text is still visible. There has long been a problem with pasting plain text under Ubuntu 10.04 x86_64 from gedit v2.30.3 into various versions of LO. I have tested these versions: - v3.3.0.4 OOO330m19 Build: 6 - v3.4.6.2 OOO340m1 Build: 602 - v3.5.7.2 Build ID: 3215f89-f603614-ab984f2-7348103-1225a5b - v3.6.7.2 Build ID: e183d5b - v4.0.6.2 Build ID: 2e2573268451a50806fcd60ae2d9fe01dd0ce24 - v4.1.3.2 Build ID: 70feb7d99726f064edab4605a8ab840c50ec57a The behaviour is identical for all versions and exactly as described in comment #0. The on screen display differs across versions as the screenshots show i.e., v4.0.6.2 and v4.1.3.2 show a large crossed out rectangle character that appears to be a carriage return (U+000d) as indicated in the report. In earlier versions the character does not display but it does impede cursor movement. For comparative purposes the same text entered into geany (text editor) under Crunchbang 11 x86_64 is also included. The original text files created by geany and gedit appear byte-for-byte identical (refer hexdumps) so the problem would seem to be either with gedit or the way in which LO is interpreting the clipboard data produced by gedit. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 71920] New: FORMATTING: In “Wrap Through“ Mode Text beneath a Frame which is not Filled with a Colour is not Displayed
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=71920 Priority: medium Bug ID: 71920 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: FORMATTING: In “Wrap Through“ Mode Text beneath a Frame which is not Filled with a Colour is not Displayed Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: Windows (All) Reporter: harald.koes...@mail.de Hardware: Other Whiteboard: BSA Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.1.3.2 release Component: Writer Product: LibreOffice Problem description: I recognized three incorrectnesses according the display of frames and drawing elements. This report describes one of them. The others are described in other bug reports. All three bugs are visible in attachment 72964. Have a look at this attachment. At the bottom of the page there is paragraph (character colour: magenta), a rectangle on the left side (red) and a frame on the right side (blue). Rectangle and frame are both in “Wrap Through” mode but in this case they are in the foreground. Furthermore they are not filled with background colours. You can see that there is a difference between the display of a rectangle and a frame. If such an element (frame, rectangle, ellipse,...) is not filled with a colour, it means for me that the transparency is 100 %. And that means everything beneath the element should be visible. Hence I expect that in the frame area the paragraph (character colour: magenta) should be visible.
