https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=78069 Priority: medium Bug ID: 78069 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: Add easy extenders for chart ranges ... Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: All Reporter: michael.me...@collabora.com Hardware: Other Status: NEW Version: 4.2.0.0.alpha0+ Master Component: Spreadsheet Product: LibreOffice One rather annoying feature of charts is that they crop the range of charted cells to the area containing data. This means as you insert new rows you have to edit each chart to add new rows. When you have a range that is dis-contiguous, you have to edit several times in a long string to expand the range. It would be rather lovely if there was some add row and add column button / icon that would extend each of these selected areas: Double click on a chart (of some data in a sheet - from a couple of ranges) to activate it, then Right click, and select 'Data Ranges'; that hits this dialog: chart2/uiconfig/ui/tp_RangeChooser.ui:property name=label translatable=yesData Range/property chart2/source/controller/dialogs/tp_RangeChooser.cxx It would be fantastic to have two extra buttons in there (on the right?) with some pretty UI icons to extend all the ranges down and or right =) [ I suspect the common use-cases ]. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 62051] UX Impress, Draw and Writer do not render inserted EPS as viewable element on Windows
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=62051 --- Comment #9 from Caolán McNamara caol...@redhat.com --- This has now gotten a bit complicated. So lets try and simplify this now. We can't render eps ourself natively, lets leave bug 67464 for that specific long-term tricky problem and focus on the remaining problems. a) If an eps already includes a preview image, we should be able to show that on screen and when printed to pdf b) If an eps does not include a preview image, then we try to launch pstoedit, then gs, and then convert to create one. If that succeeds we should be able to show that on screen and when printed to pdf. It is exceedingly unlikely to have those installed on windows I appreciate. c) If none of that works then we generate a redbox with some metadata in it like the author and creator if that info is available. That should show on screen and when printed to pdf. I've made a few fixes now in master http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=3db00c554b38ee6c1b6e969768da53db4dc2f92a and http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=4d88c6dee6d57fa9c366b67624842aefa429f527 caolanm-vstuart: I would appreciate (with tomorrows daily for example) if you could test that if with the above fixes on windows that a-c now happen there as expected, then I would consider this fixed and closable. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Hitting enter to paste is a very strange mechanic, and one that's hard to predict. Especially when there's an option explicitly saying that enter should edit the cell instead! [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 78074] New: Other: Paste Special should have an option to paste raw formulas
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=78074 Priority: medium Bug ID: 78074 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: Other: Paste Special should have an option to paste raw formulas Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: All Reporter: stephane.guil...@gmail.com Hardware: Other Whiteboard: BSA Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.1.0.4 release Component: Spreadsheet Product: LibreOffice Problem description: Currently, there is no way to copy and paste a range of cells containing formulas without changing any cell coordinate or spreadsheet references contained in formulas. There should be an option in the Paste Special dialogue to let the user paste formulas without having them modified according to the where it is pasted. This option could be presented as a box to tick, and could be named paste raw formulas. This could be useful for example for documents or sheets sharing the same structure and referring to data that shows different values but is organised in the same manner. If a table is enhanced in one spreadsheet, the user might want to copy it and replace the ones in the other sheets/documents. A table could contain fixed coordinates (using $) and non-fixed coordinates and the user would like to copy the raw formulas without worrying about the action linking cells from a different spreadsheet or document. Another case would be that the user simply wants to place a number of formula-containing cells somewhere else in the sheet without getting all the coordinates shifted accordingly, and without having to go back into each formula to add $ signs. As this option could result in errors (especially when copying from one document to another with different sheet names), there could be a warning dialogue letting the user know that This option might produce errors in cells that contain a reference to an object that does not exist in the document. This dialogue could appear only when the action is made from one document to another. It is indeed unintuitive in the case of cells already formatted for dates. There are temporary workarounds if the fractions are not useful to you: - In the AutoCorrect options, delete the three replacements that you pointed out; - Or deactivate the replacement table in the Options tab. To the developpers: is it possible to deactivate particular autocorrect rules for particular formatting cases? Or better: let the formatting do its job before applying the replacement rules?
