--- Comment #29 from V Stuart Foote vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu ---
On Windows 7 sp1, 64-bit
Version: 4.3.0.0.alpha1+
Build ID: 0b03f7ed575838f90e6b1ebec3538a3a214f81fb
TinderBox: Win-x86@39, Branch:master, Time: 2014-04-30_01:30:46

Setting resolved fixed with Caolan's commits on master:

http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=3db00c554b38ee6c1b6e969768da53db4dc2f92a

http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=4d88c6dee6d57fa9c366b67624842aefa429f527

However, pstoedit (for vector formatted previews), GhostScript, and ImageMagick
must be correctly configured and available on system path.

Would help if someone with one or all of the helper apps on OS X can confirm
fix is valid.

Fehler beim Speichern des Dokumentes The problem 2:

/home/corny/NetzspeicherCorny/Finanzielles/Steuer/2013/The problem 2.doc.

I was convinced, that the problem occured even if I saved the file in other
places (e.g. local machine). But now i can not reproduce the error when saving
on local machine, but it always occures when saving to my NAS.
May the NAS itself be the problem?
If so, i have to apologize! You are definately not my personal hardware error
team. I promise to systematically test any possible reason before i consume
your time again.

Now I will check, if possible, if the error is on the NAS.
The NAS runs on a debian linux (as far as i know).
Perhaps there is a selftest-function.

This case is closed, there is evidence, that LibreOffice is not the source of
the problem.

P.S.
I use ubuntu since 09.04 and i was always pleased with it. This is great
Software. Before LibreOffice occured, i used openoffice even on the Windows
machines (from the children and the neighbours). Today its all LibreOffice.
You all do a very good work. Thanks a lot fos this.

draw rendering of EPS and EMF as fixed

A Draw rif on @etiffany test document, top is default LODev 430alpha1+ raster
preview of provided EPS. Middle is that same EPS parsed through Inkscape as EMF
(note vector preview), bottom is the same EPS parsed with Inskscape back to
cleaner EPS retains color but is also a raster preview.

All three render as vector based in PDF, to follow. So issue is resolved, but
quality of preview handling of EPS may depend on structure of the EPS. Works
well on Windows if flushing through Inkscape.

Need to verify that all is good with OS X.

  - copy and paste cells with comments is very slow

It works quite snappy. Copy and paste works quick, moving of cells etc also
 works fine.

Did you test with the attached document? If you have only one cell with one
comment this one is indeed processed quickly. But if you have many *other*
cells with comments copy/paste of this one cell is slow.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 78070] error after copy paste and saving a .doc file

2014-04-30 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=78070

--- Comment #8 from Cornelius Arendt cornelius.are...@t-online.de ---
Thanks for this idea (the space). I did copy my file (by Nautilus) to file
The_Problem_2.doc, but same results with libre office came up.
I even tried it with the file (The_Problem_2.doc) in the root of that
NAS-drive.
The NAS-Drives name is written without space. The drive is called corny and
mounted in ...\corny\NetzspeicherCorny. All in all no space left, but still the
same thing occurs.
Other applications like gnome commander, gimp etc are not reporting problems
while writing to the same directory (on the NAS drive). All of their files are
perfectly Ok.
The Libre Office for Windows (dowloaded and installed yesterday) is able to
write the file (The_Problem_2.doc and (The Problem 2.doc) to the NAS.

I am puzzled... :-(

Whatever i change in this file can not be saved without the former mentioned

I can edit and save that .doc file with no issue with LibO 4.2.3.3 under

maybe issue is Linux specific.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 78108] New: EDITING: Instability with pasting calc data into writer (As calc8 object)

2014-04-30 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=78108

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 78108
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: EDITING: Instability with pasting calc data into
writer (As calc8 object)
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
  Reporter: simon.wo...@qoin.org
  Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.2.3.3 release
 Component: Writer
   Product: LibreOffice

Problem description:
LibreOffice is unstable (all open apps crash simultaneously) when attempting to
paste moderately complex data from Calc to Writer

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open a pre-existing ods or xls file with 10+ columns, 50+ rows, some
formulas, formatting and filters
2. select a grid with 5+ columns, 20+ rows and a mixture of formatting, hit
ctrl-C
3. create a new writer doc, hit ctlr-v to paste in the data from calc

Current behavior:
Both calc and writer crash after a second or two. Documents are recoverable but
the paste does not work at all

Expected behavior:
Data is pasted into writer as a calc8 object

Issue:
I have not been able to isolate this issue to a single condition (eg: certain
formatting). However, LIbreOffice was not unstable in this manner before I
upgraded from Ubuntu 13.10 to 14.04 (and thus got a LibreOffice upgrade to
4.2.3.3

Operating System: Ubuntu
Version: 4.2.3.3 release

With further testing, the problem seems to relate to attempts to paste a data
range from Calc to Writer, which contains formulas in at least one column.

I have attached a very simple spreadsheet which can be used to reproduce the
problem. just select all the cells that have content, and attempt to paste them
into a new Writer doc - kaboom!

--- Comment #13 from Cornelius Arendt cornelius.are...@t-online.de ---
I am using ubuntu 14.04 with libreoffice 4.2.3.3 = error.
I tried libre office on win7 = no errors.

I made several tests, now i am sure:
It happens when
1. a odt-file was created and saved.
2. Libre office closed.
3. open document by doubleclick from nautilus or gnome commander
4. change something in te document.
5. Save as doc-file. sometimes still no error. sometimes error.
6. change something again.
7. Save = now the error occurs definitally.

I send you a document (xanten.odt), that i just got by E-Mail from a friend.
It is a text about the city xanten in germany (it does not matter).
I saved it as doc-file and got the error message immediatly.
Although Libre office wrote an doc-file but this is corrupted!
The containment of the file xanten.doc beginns with the lines between the
zero-Lines.

Not sure how to vote for this, but does anyone know the status? Is this
still not implemented due to lack of code contribution for it or lack of
agreement that it should indeed be implemented?

I don't expect disagreement on this. It's just that developers work on
different stuff atm. If you have a little experience: it's not that hard with
help of other developers to start working on this..

nothing works.

Previous ODP with turned text, saved as PPT

This is the previous ODP containing turned text I attached, converted to PPT
with LibreOffice 4.1.1.2.

Result:
* When open with LibreOffice, both Left and Right appear upside down.
* When open with MS Office, only Right appears upside down, and Left appears
correctly.

Both the diagonal and upside down text appear correctly. This is not an issue
with PPTX files.

If I try to re-size the sidebar it starts to freakout. That means it's with
increases and decreases as fast as hyperspeed.

In this case all control is lost. Impress can't be closed, even gnome does not
respond anymore. Only way out of it: shutdown the whole system.

It happens every time, so on my machine it is reproducible.

I noticed that after a short time the system fan goes crazy and the power
consumption rises. Seems that the width calculation eats up a lot of resources.

My screen resolution is 1600x900, maybe it matters.

-Sorry bout the mails, I'm noob around here-

I strongly add my name under the list. This is not a marginal feature. In a
scientific document, it would help a great deal to really adjust comments by
color and default font.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 75565] CRASH: LO crash when copypaste a column from Calc to Writer as formated text (rtf)

--- Comment #5 from Philippe Debrabant debrabant.phili...@free.fr ---
Same problem with LO 4.2.3.3 Build ID: 420m0(Build:3) and Ubuntu 14.04.

But for me LO crashes with some cells selected (not an entire row).
First, I select some cells from calc with the contextual menu. Next I paste my
selection in Writer = LO crashes.

I hope this bug will be corrected soon, it's very unconfortable.
Thanks,
Philippe

No problem on 4.2.2.1.

Also stability is much improved. Still a few display issues but these are not
critical.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 78117] New: FILESAVE: Read-Error after resaving document with *.jpeg images

2014-04-30 Thread bugzilla-daemon

  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: rutsky.vladi...@gmail.com

   Version: 4.2.3.3 release
 Component: Writer
   Product: LibreOffice

Created attachment 98243
  -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=98243action=edit
Document for reproducing bug

I programmatically add to ODT document images in JPEG format.
If I name them with .jpeg extension resaving document under new name leads to
state in which images are replaced with Read-Error frames (but saved document
is correct and reopening it fixes Read-Error frames).

If I name images with .jpg extension (as LibreOffice does) all works well.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open attached document in Writer.
2. File-Save as... and save it under custom name.

Expected behavior: writer with opened document should work as it worked before
resaving document.

Observed behavior: image replaced with Read-Error frame.

changing the version back to 4.1.5.3 release.
The version indicates the first (earliest) version where the bug occurs.

Read-Error frame

Note, that after resaving document you need Writer to force redrawing, by
either scrolling page up and down, or resizing Writer window.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 78119] New: bad july (červenec) month name support in czech localization

2014-04-30 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=78119

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 78119
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: bad july (červenec) month name support in czech
localization
  Severity: major
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Windows (All)
  Reporter: reals...@gmail.com
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.2.3.3 release
 Component: Localization
   Product: LibreOffice

Hi there,

probably due to the similarity of the two czech month names červen (june) and
červenec (july) the Calc app causes error: 502 when using červenec in VALUE
or DATEVALUE function.

For all others czech month names the functions do the right job.

This is a long time nown bug in the czech user community already reported 3
months ago in relationship to date auto date field behavior
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=66620#c5

I hope you fix this soon.

THX

Daniel
