[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 64265] Inserted Visio object cannot be edited with Visio
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=64265 --- Comment #7 from Winfried Donkers winfrieddonk...@libreoffice.org --- (In reply to comment #6) i think we need both ways to do it on Windows, since you may want to create OLE objects from files that are non-native to LO and for which you don't have the editing application installed... but the current UI is quite confusing. anyway, it looks to me there's not really a regression here? A very informative comment, thank you. Being 1) a developer (though not of writer) and 2) a sort of spokesman for the users of the company I work for, this is a difficult one. The users our company that use Visio to make all sort of graphics in writer documents simply say that a) it worked with version 3 and no longer works with version 4 and b) the insert-object-OLE object-create new/other object-use file needs more actions than insert-object-OLE object-use file and so is inconvenient. a) made me to add regression b) is correct from a user's POV, especially as the difference between the 2, which took you a lot of lines to explain ;-), is totally invisible to users. I tend to call this bug report resolved for developers, but new for help text writers (is that a different mailing list?). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 68103] Draw Help for Headings outdated
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=68103 --- Comment #7 from t...@tim-passingham.co.uk --- It's a while since I raised this, so please bear with me. I just have tried this on 4.2.4.2 (with British help), with a recently new set of user configuration files. I open a new Draw document, and View, Slide Master. I want to add a Header. In the Help for Draw, headers and footers, slide masters, it says: Every type of master has some predefined areas to hold the date, footer, and slide numbers. ... A predefined Header Area is available only for notes and handouts. If you want a header on all slides, you can move the Footer Area on the slide master to the top Objects that you insert on a slide master are visible on all slides that are based on that slide master. 1. Choose View - Header and Footer. Well, all I can say is that nowhere on the Slide Master, or the Normal Slide can I find anything to do with a header or footer. If I add a page number to the slide master, it does appear on the normal pages, and increments for each page, but it it isn't in a 'header' object or a 'footer' object. There is no menu item View, Header and Footer. May I ask, somewhat naively, whether anyone has actually just sat down and tried to follow the help for this and add a header or footer? Or am I just being stupid? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 72075] EDITING: undo leads to duplication for operations that involve of drag-and-drop (Slide pane, text areas)
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72075 --- Comment #5 from Jérôme Borme jer...@escreve.me --- Right now I can test with 4.2.3.3 and the bug persists, but I now noticed if you press a second time Edit/Undo then the action is properly undone. Which means 1) there is a workaround! 2) the bug can be reformulated as: one extra action gets inserted in the history, so the user needs a double undo to get read of it. I can't test right now with 4.2.4.2 but only 4.2.3.3 (still it's a 4.2.x) so I'll test again when the version you were asking for becomes available in my distribution. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=75838 --- Comment #3 from benihen...@live.de --- The bug is still in LibreOffice 4.2.4. In my opinion this is a really serious bug as it makes it really difficult to work with text of a different language in a spreadsheet. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 59288] FORMATTING: Copying conditional formatting
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=59288 mike.h...@onepoyle.net changed: What|Removed |Added CC||kouka...@gmail.com --- Comment #14 from mike.h...@onepoyle.net --- It's not working the same as before but something weird is still going on. If you insert a row above R1 the resulting line works as if the conditional formatting was there (as it should) but with Format Conditional Formatting Manage there are no references to the new R1. If you insert a line above a lower line, there are references to the new line. The software must be generating A1:A2 conditional formatting internally even though it's not being shown. I had problems this week with conditional formatting with only one condition. It didn't transfer correctly from LO to MSO and in the end I had to do the work (for someone else) in MSO. When working there, I noticed that MSO refused to save a spreadsheet with conditional formatting in .xls format, but it works fine with .xlsx I need to do more to extend all of the above, but I have no time until later. I plan to do it in conjunction with the bug chase on 4.3.0 next week. In the meanwhile, please would someone move this to MAB 4.2? https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=68103 --- Comment #9 from t...@tim-passingham.co.uk --- I do try and raise problems when I find them, however minor, and have a LibreOffice T-Shirt to prove it :). This often takes a lot of time and energy. For instance I spent many, many hours on a recent series of issues on Calc. Once started I have a habit of getting rather too focused on a problem to the detriment of the rest of my life. I'm reluctant to commit to QA partly because I don't have much in the way of environments to check specific versions or platforms. Multiple versions on my main PC tend to give me some grief, so I try to avoid them, and I need LO to work. I also tend to use the Ubuntu PPA releases, which follow later than the main site, since the integration is better. So, feeling a little guilty, I won't offer to help, for now at least. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=68103 --- Comment #10 from Joel Madero jmadero@gmail.com --- Hey, On 05/13/2014 08:13 AM, bugzilla-dae...@freedesktop.org wrote: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=68103 --- Comment #9 from t...@tim-passingham.co.uk --- I do try and raise problems when I find them, however minor, and have a LibreOffice T-Shirt to prove it :). Well you don't need multiple platforms nor multiple versions. It's sufficient to test on a single platform and a single version (so long as that version is a new version) and then mark the bug as NEW with your findings. So, feeling a little guilty, I won't offer to help, for now at least. Sorry. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=59699 Albrecht Müller albrecht.muel...@astrail.de changed: What|Removed |Added Status|RESOLVED|REOPENED Resolution|NOTABUG |--- Severity|normal |major CC||albrecht.muel...@astrail.de --- Comment #4 from Albrecht Müller albrecht.muel...@astrail.de --- This bug still exists in LibreOffice 4.2.3.3. To reproduce the error you need a file named ciril.png containing some graphic. The example file uses a relative path therefore this file should exist in the working directory (the directory containing the example file?). Windows 2010 did not show the second graphic as it was not there. LibreOffice does not show it even the file containing the external graphic exists. I think this is a major problem as there are tools creating rtf documents containing many linked graphics. You cannot use LibreOffice with these tools as you will not see those graphics and doing some workarounds by hand is not a feasible option. There is a related problem: I created a document containing a link to some external jpg file and saved it in rtf format. The resulting file did not contain the link to the external jpg file and contained the content of the graphic instead. The expected behavior is that the rtf file contains the links to the linked graphics. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
