 Steps to reproduce:
 1. Download attachment 86189 [details];
 2. Upload the attachment to OneDrive (https://onedrive.live.com);
 3. Open the file with OneDrive.

No these instructions are incorrect. After downloading it, you need to open it
up in LibO and then save as a .docx file and then upload that saved .docx file
in OneDrive. But when i tried opening it in OneDrive, i see the dots.

Now I have made little more improvement. I took opens___.ttf from OpenOffice
installer *.msi file. My previous comment 17 does not provide all symbols.

To obtain opens___.ttf from msi (adapted from
http://thebackroomtech.com/2007/08/23/howto-extract-files-from-a-msi-file-using-the-windows-command-line/)

Run from command line:

msiexec /a LibreOffice_4.2.4_Win_x86.msi /qb TARGETDIR=%USERPROFILE%\testE

After extraction go to %USERPROFILE%\testE\Fonts directory, for example this
can be done via next command

explorer %USERPROFILE%\testE\Fonts

Find opens___.ttf file, double click on it and use Install button in the font
browser.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 79206] spell check tests only first part of a split word

2014-05-28 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=79206

@jay I can't get your example to work 'correctly' on Win or Mint, ie putting
the insertion point anywhere in the middle of your example and typing a space
without subsequently moving the insertion point leaves the second part without
the miss-spleeing underline.

Agree that Win is worse than Mint in that in Win you can move the insertion
point anywhere without the misspelling underline for the second half of a split
word reappearing. Inserting any character into the document corrects the
previous missing underline. In Mint, you can move the insertion point anywhere
within a miss-spelt word without the underline appearing, but moving it outside
the word corrects the missing underline. Moving it into the miss-spelt and
non-underlined word does not correct the missing underline.

Here's another example (using Mint Qiana on a 32 bit PC):

type a new line with a following space
queue
 - no underline - correct

 delete first u
qeue
 - no underline until click outside word

click outside word to get underline, then replace missing u
queue
 - underline immediately dissapears

This is inconsistent behaviour.

Thus, for me, this is an almost identical bug in both Linux and Win.

What happened to the patches to this bug to add greek letters and symbols to

As far as I recall, the patches were reverted due to some issue with the LO

Is there any observable symptom, that is anything that does not work?

 The com.sun.star.lang.NotInitializedException in
SvXMLImport::setTargetDocument are usual; I see them each time I open an

OK, I'll ignore that one then.

The Exception in SwDBManager::GetColumnSupplier could be a more
interesting lead. If someone has time to attach a debugger and see what
 exception is thrown from where...

Am currently rebuilding again from master, will re-test when finished and see
what gdb has to say.

Writer is a very good application and I like it. One annoying thing, writer is
unable to make a very basic flowchart. This is shameful for a so powerful and
popular word processor.

Making the connector tools available to writer will solve the problem for we
already have the drawing bar there with useful tools.

This enhancement will help those people willing to make a simple flowchart on
the go avoid using both draw and writer.

Notice: the connectors are present in draw and impress but they are not present
in the tool bars personalization options in writer.

could you make the connectors available in writer?

(In reply to comment #9)
 (In reply to comment #8)

No these instructions are incorrect. After downloading it, you need to open
it up in LibO and then save as a .docx file and then upload that saved .docx
file in OneDrive. But when i tried opening it in OneDrive, i see the dots.

No, I confirm I did nothing before I upload it to OneDrive.
(So maybe attachment 86189 [details] is already buggy?)

Well it wasnt buggy for me when i opened it in OneDrive, which is weird.

Tried on Windows XP SP3 and no luck, even after watching the video, and
following the below instructions from IRC

suokunlong to reproduce, you have to be slow when selecting columns,
suokunlong and pause for 1 or 2 seconds before release your mouse

I forgot:

The consequence of the change in properties is : when updating the index/table

exported docx files from libO as it states that the document has objects it
doesnt support, which is weird. I'm assuming its just MS stopping people from
editing documents not created in MSO.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 79357] Trend line can't be added

2014-05-28 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=79357

--- Comment #2 from Boaz Dodin boaz.do...@gmail.com ---
(In reply to comment #1)
You have to select a data series (either on the chart or in the combo box)
to add a trend line. This is a must when you have more data series in one
chart but unfortunately inconvenient when you just have one.

Selecting data series do allow to add a trend line, but there is a bug
regarding adding trend line by the Insert menu.
Moreover, it's a regression somewhere between LO 4.1.x to 4.2.x!

I just tested the originally attached file on LO 4.1.6.2, WinXP SP3 - a trend
line can be added by the Insert menu following the steps in bug description.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 78303] FORMATTING: footnote numbering wrong for per page numbering if moved to next page due missing space

2014-05-28 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=78303

This can be easy reproduced by following steps:

* Open new Document
* Insert 3 Paragraphs with footnotes
* Insert before those three paragraphs as many empty paragraphs until the last
paragraph with footnote is placed on the next page
  - numbering is broken for last paragraph with footnote

Sometimes this has not been worked, then i could reproduce this error by
inserting more empty paragraphs until the last 2 paragraphs with footnotes are
placed on the next page and then remove the empty paragraphs until only the
last paragraph with footnote remains on the next page.

Hope this helps.

@suokunlong:
I've read your comment at bug 77174. But what you describe here is actually
my issue. Except that LO 4.2.4.2 hangs here instead of crashing.

Also from your description it is not clear, does LO hangs or the dialog is just
not popping up, but you can actually continue working?

I tested this on Win7 and Linux, both 64-bit.

Adjusting Platform.
Also I believe a bug should always be filled against the first version found on
(which would be 4.2.4 here), but I leave version on 4.3 beta for now.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 77203] start presentation with current slide (F5) in normal view does not work

2014-05-28 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=77203

I have the same problem but it's even weirder. I am teaching a workshop using
two presentations. On day 1, I worked with slideshow 1, no problem. On day 2,
slideshow 2 has the start with current slide menu function greyed out. So I
load slideshow 1 again to see what happens there and

- first, in that slideshow, start with current slide was not greyed out and
it worked;
- but 20 minutes later, it is greyed out there, too.

Using 4.2.4.2 on Kubuntu 14.04 64 bit.

--- Comment #3 from Tomaz Vajngerl qui...@gmail.com ---
As I already said - you have to select the data series to enable Insert-Trend
Lines... The abilities of trend lines changed in 4.2 and so did the behavior -
this is why this is not a bug but was changed intentionally.

It is unfortunate that you now have to select the data series even when tere is
only one, but you also have to select the image (even when there is only one)
for which you want to perform Format-Flip-Flip Vertically.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 79357] Trend line can't be added by the Insert menu

2014-05-28 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=79357

--- Comment #4 from Boaz Dodin boaz.do...@gmail.com ---
If it's by design, it's a very problematic change. Especially for the users
moved from old version to the 4.2.

For me, double-clicking on the chart is exactly as telling to LO where the
trend line should be added. In fact, 4.1 works this way, as expected.

So, the example of image flipping is not relevant, as the bug is not about
enabling insert of trend line all the time (without double-click on the chart).

Moreover, till today I was not aware of the option to select data series and
adding trend line from right click menu (although working with trend lines for
about 2 years).
How the user can guess why the trend line can't be added?..

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 79276] add acor-fr-XX.dat to all FR variants (CA-BE-CH...) to get the Autocorrect table populated for these locales

2014-05-28 Thread bugzilla-daemon

 extras/source/autotext/lang/fr/acor contains this:
 DocumentList.xml
 META-INF/
 mimetype
 SentenceExceptList.xml
 WordExceptList.xml
 See
 http://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/extras/source/autotext/lang/fr/
 acor/

Sophi: just to be sure, should the whole acor directory be copy pasted for
 other locales?

I don't know what should be done, but to be more specific, if under Tools
Options Language Settings Languages Locale setting, you choose for
example French (Belgium), then this is the locale setting that you find in
Autocorrect Options Replacement table. In this case, the replacement list is
empty, it's only populated if you choose French (France).
In /opt/libreoffice/share/autocor, there is only an acor_fr-FR.dat, I don't
know how to tell him to be aware of the other variants ;) I've found that
renaming the file is a work around, but it's a bit difficult for our users.

Confirmed in Linux Mint in the latest releases from 3.6 to 4.1.

The major problem is that opening this file in 4.2.4 or 4.3 beta will have all
of the 11 pages on a single page, which will rev up the CPU and pretty much
stop LibO from working. This was tested in Linux Mint and Windows XP

Wrong.

In Fedora, there is no /opt/libreoffice/

Changing the locale to French (France) in Tools Options Language Settings
Languages Locale does not change anything. The replacement list in
Autocorrect Replace stays empty.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 79355] Properties Create from of the index/table of a template are chaged in the document created fom the template

2014-05-28 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=79355

--- Comment #1 from Robert Gonzalez MX riggra...@gmail.com ---
Hello.
I think that writer should keep the original properties of the indexes defined
in any document and the users only have to update it with the right click
dialog, and not have to go to the process of reviewing the properties and
reconfiguring. it could become annoying. Thinking for the final user, i think
this bug sould be corrected. Just read the index properties of the file and put
it in the variables of the dialog of creating an index.

When you double-click on the chart it is still not clear to which data series
you want to add a trend line. You can have more data series in one chart (and
this is what I have been talking about the whole time) - so the example clearly
applies - one in scope of Calc, the other in scope of Chart.

All that I say, is because this behavior is new to 4.2, moreover it's about
something stopped working, it can't be just disabled.

How about a short hint or a pop-up explaining why trend line can't be added
from the Insert menu and what should be done to add it?

P.S. If the chart is only about 1 data series, what is the rational to still
disable the menu option?

I installed LibO 4.2.4 through the deb gz file onto my Linux Mint box and the
only acor_fr-*.dat file found in /opt/libreoffice4.2/share/autocorr was
acor_fr-FR.dat. When opening the autocorrect for 'French (Canada)' the list was
blank. So i opened the terminal and copied it as acor_fr-CA.dat and it now it
works. LibO 4.3 also only has acor_fr-FR.dat.

Screenshot of the LibreOffice formula editor UI with sidebar and cropped
dropdown

Problem description:
The dropdown field for selecting a category of formula elements is slightly
cropped and covered by the white area below it.

It could be relevant that Ubuntu is set to use UI scale 2.0 and LibreOffice is
at its default 100% (Settings → View). Changing LibreOffice scale other than
default makes it rather worse.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open LibreOffice
2. Insert → Object → Formula

Hello,
I just installed (and uninstalled) the
LibreOfficeDev_4.3.0.0.beta1_MacOS_x86-64.dmg
only to find out that the bug is still there.

While this bug is only present on OSX (Mavericks, fully updated),
I found a (kludgy) workaround:

Every time you click an URL (to start a new web page),
first click the title bar of the Writer window, before you click another URL.
Smells of MSWindow solutions .

Any reaction?
;JOOP!
