The problem is, when I need to change order of the rows (using ALT+click and drag), the pictures often stay in place instead of moving with the row (even though there's an anchor signalizing they are linked with certain cell). Also, sometimes when I try to do this, some of the pictures get distorted (their vertical size is majorly scaled down). Even worse, neither this nor the first problem can be undone! When I click Undo after any of this happening, the cells (columns) including text only move back into its original place but the stuck pictures stay stuck (overlapping some of the others) and the distorted ones stay distorted. The problem above (picture distortion) also occurs whenever I save the document (no matter which file format I use) and open it again. ALL the pictures in a rows which have been moved to other than their original position (even when they once displayed and saved just fine) have their vertical size reduced to a bare minimum and sometimes they're even misplaced. Please, help me out! the fonts have names that are chinese characters, and an associated
charset of UTF-8, which the RTF export maps badly to code page 1252:
{\f7\froman\fprq2\fcharset0 ;}
this problem did not occur in the old RTF export in OOo 3.3,
which produced this:
{\f7\fnil\fprq2\fcharset128 \'94\'f7\'3f\'89\'eb\'fc\'4b;}
so apparently using a fall-back from UTF-8 to Shift-JIS...
we can't really tell which charset should be the target
(especially not if we don't have the actual font and
don't know what Unicode code-points it covers)
so perhaps something like this is the best that can be done.
Word apparently does not support \ucN\u...\'.. in font table,
so write only the fall-back charset in the font table.
came up with something that seems to work mostly, fixed on master.

This is an important fault when reading data from dynamic resources built on request like network sockets or similar connections - in may case a remote measuring equipment. For an example one may attempt to send a request to a server using self made XOutputStream implementation and then may like to retrieve response with com.sun.star.io.TextInputStream.readLine The com.sun.star.io.TextInputStream.readLine will request readSomeBytes(, 256), what means it is trying to read some data ahead. Obviously if server response is shorter than that XInputStream will either timeout or return only what can be returned immediately. The result will be that readSomeBytes will return less bytes than requires. Or even a zero. It doesn't mean link is broken, it just has no more data at the moment. The current implementation of com.sun.star.io.TextInputStream.readLine fills data in a buffer and detects that this is an eof. I sets mbReachedEOF in TextInputStream.cxx to true. line 295: sal_Int32 nRead = mxStream-readSomeBytes( mSeqSource, nBytesToRead ); sal_Int32 nTotalRead = nRead; if( nRead nBytesToRead ) mbReachedEOF = true; Later any attempt to call implReadString returns without updating buffer content due to check in line 214: // Already reached EOF? Then we can't read any more if( mbReachedEOF ) break; Effectively it prevents using TextInputStream to read anything from sources other than a fast, blocking read, local files. Please, do not make EOF condition permanent. Personally I don't feel capable enough to tinker with this code and fix it. It seems than mbReachedEOF is tested in many places and there is too less comments for me to grasp what's going on. I mark it as a major since this renders this service unusable. A work around is possible by writing own UNO service which doing it correctly. That's what it looks like in LibreOffice Writer if you have field shadings on. If you turn field shadings off (View Field Shadings), zero width spaces become invisible (but they'll allow a line break after the currency symbol, which probably isn't what you want). Given that you have the dependencies installed (gvfs or gnome-vfs, depending on the libreoffice build flags), I have no idea what could go wrong. Maybe strace could give us some hints?
