But Jay did test LibreOffice 3.3 too, and has the same behavior. From that point of view it is designed that way. Another point of view is the inconsistency. Given that you have the dependencies installed (gvfs or gnome-vfs, depending on the libreoffice build flags), I have no idea what could go wrong. Maybe strace could give us some hints? I have the dependencies installed because it works with the provious version. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 79588] Macros called from within formulas doesn't survive save, close and reopen of the calc-document.
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=79588 --- Comment #4 from Bernhard mynew...@t-online.de --- (In reply to comment #3) Not a blocker - lowering to major for now. Blockers are literally saved for only the most serious bugs (for instance if most users could not install LibreOffice). Majority of users don't use macros - data loss therefore seems like major. May be this bug is not a blocker for using LibreOffice Calc. But it may be a blocker for those, who need this functionality and no workaround is available. May be that the majority of users don't use macros, but many (more as we believe) want it. But when such a basic functionality (for macros) doesn't work and has no workaround, they never change from MS-Office to Linux because complex text-documents, spreadsheets or databases may be their main usage. It IS a blocker for all those people who want to use macros, but not writing bug-reports. Yes, I know, this is only one individual opinion. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 79989] New: EDITING: Instability handling special characters in Cambria Math font.
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=79989 Priority: medium Bug ID: 79989 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: EDITING: Instability handling special characters in Cambria Math font. Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: Windows (All) Reporter: java7n...@gmail.com Hardware: Other Whiteboard: BSA Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.2.4.2 release Component: Drawing Product: LibreOffice Created attachment 100984 -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=100984action=edit A document with characters already inserted (step 1) Problem description: Attempting to use special characters on Cambria Math font causes crashes, particularly when deleting them. (Note: will probably need Cambria Math installed to try this - it comes with all recent versions of Microsoft Office) Steps to reproduce: 1. Add a text box with several special characters (use Insert/Special Characters and scroll down to the bottom of the options) in Cambria Math (already done for you in the attached example document) 2. Enter text editing mode on the text box 3. Place the caret at the end of the text (do NOT highlight any characters) 4. Press backspace once 5. Click outside of the textbox to deselect it 6. If the document did not crash on deleting this character, or recovered, repeat steps 3-5 to delete one more character Current behavior: Usually crashes Libre Office Draw, sometimes recovers and garbles the characters for a few minutes of the application not responding. Sometimes after saving and reloading the document, it is possible to delete 1 character without crash, but then it usually crashes attempting to delete a second character. Expected behavior: The last character should be deleted, application should not crash. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 79721] Oracle Report Builder stops when report is going to have more than 10 pages
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=79721 --- Comment #8 from rob...@familiegrosskopf.de --- Have tried it with the attached database. I have set Raport2 to limit 100 for a test. Works, but has the CPU (1 core) runs at 100% for a longer time. Then tried it with limit 200 and get a grey background without content, while the CPU is running at 100% - have stopped this process after some minutes. Then I tried to save the writer-file (limit 100). It needs nearly the same time as creating the file. It is the same behavior with LO 4.1.6.2. I don't know if we could say this is a Base-bug. I recognize also a problem to open the saved file. Note there are nearly 6000 shapes inside such a file and the whole report is created with frames in Writer. We could really say: The limit is reached for such a construction. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 58434] Display gray background for non-breaking characters only when displaying non-printing characters
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58434 Simo Kaupinmäki isoku...@gmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added CC||isoku...@gmail.com Summary|Display gray background for |Display gray background for |nonbreaking characters only |non-breaking characters |when displaying |only when displaying |nonprintable/special|non-printing characters |characters | --- Comment #8 from Simo Kaupinmäki isoku...@gmail.com --- The grey background is actually field shading, which can be toggled on and off separately (View Field Shadings). But I agree that it would be more intuitive if the highlighting of these formatting characters was linked to the visibility of non-printing characters. Besides no-break space (U+00A0) and non-breaking hyphen (U+2011), there are other characters that have field shading, including at least soft hyphen (U+00AD), zero width space (U+200B), and word joiner (U+2060). On the other hand, narrow no-break space (U+202F) and figure space (U+2007), for example, do not have field shading, although they are also exceptional as regards line breaking. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 79995] New: SideBar: Tab Bar Icons are not visually indicating status when selected

True regardless of selection of the Icon theme from Tools - Options - View: Icon Size and Style The Icons on the Tab Bar remain the same whether the panel is selected or not. Seems that with GTK UI implementation that as the widgets can be traversed, focus and selection status should trigger change. Currently focus will shift the Icon, but when the selection state changes there is no indication in the icon to show it as selected. Seems an oversight that should be a trivial adjustment, if even a box around the widget and not a shift in Icon rendering. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
