(In reply to comment #24)
I think this old bug should belong to one of the MAB list:

Bug 39764 - UI: Function list category Last Used always inserts function
from the top and duplicates existing list

It still exists in version 4.3.0.0 beta2 and 4.2.5.1.

if the buig is already present in 4.2.x you should file it in the mab4.2 list.
so I'm removing it from mab4.3

--- Comment #6 from Jorendc jore...@libreoffice.org ---
(In reply to comment #5)
Jorendc, is this matter classified as bug (the way that I can't use Style
from the toolbar) or is this the way of making styles (the way we cannot use
Style toolbar because it's not the step, so we need to make changes in style
 from Format menu)

Well, I have to be honest and say that I'm not 100% sure what the correct
behavior is. But Jay did test LibreOffice 3.3 too, and has the same behavior.
From that point of view it is designed that way.
Another point of view is the inconsistency. If it really is done by design that
you should only use style 'default' in master documents, why is it still
accessible via the Styles and Formatting dialog?

So either way this looks a bug to me.

Kind regards,
Joren

Confirming the bug.
Tried latest 4.2 version (4.2.4.2), latest 4.3 beta version
(libreoffice-4-3~2014-06-10_07.13.43_LibreOfficeDev_4.3.0.0.beta2_MacOS_x86)
and all various options (even the option LibreOffice/Open-Save dialogs/Use
LibreOffice dialogs to not use Mac OS X native dialogs).
The results are the same: all selected files in the open dialog are modified!

The Mac OSX version I (still) use is 10.6.8. I actually haven't yet tried with
more recent versions of OS X, but I will shortly for Moutain Lion (10.8) and
will inform you.

SUMPRODUCT should force all its arguments to array mode, same as if they were
entered in a matrix formula. This does not happen for IF, IFERROR, IFNA and
CHOOSE. Especially range references in array mode are not resolved position
dependent as implicit intersection if a function expects a single scalar value
as argument but an array is created of the reference instead.

Taking.

Simple .rtf document with image and frame in header area

Problem description:
Using any 4* version of LO on Linux Mint 16-17
Insertion of an image - any from gallery will do and save document as a .rtf
format. On reopen, there is a frame inserted and the image colours can be
reversed - the document may become unstable.

Long documents with several images have frames all over the document - usually
in margins and header areas.

Steps to reproduce:
1. create a document with an image from the Gallery
2. save document as .rtf
3. Reopen - document is unstable and images have a frame associated in which
cause difficulties until they are individually deleted

Current behavior:
as per 1 - 3 above

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 79721] Oracle Report Builder stops when report is going to have more than 10 pages

2014-06-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=79721

OK ... It is not about number of pages generated!
What I tested is attached already to the bug.

The test case is (Raport 1):
1. Table with 3500 (or so) entries.
2. Generated report which consisted of only table entries -- everything ok 493
pages

Second test case (Raport 2):
1. The same table ...
2. Report prepared with some shapes -- Generated ... but at the end stops and
halts with no result :( FAILED

So it is number of pages or number of shapes generated inside the report which
causes error?!

(In reply to comment #6)
Another point of view is the inconsistency. If it really is done by design
that you should only use style 'default' in master documents, why is it
still accessible via the Styles and Formatting dialog?

Also when you select a new style in the style dialog (e.g. Heading 1), it is
then added to the style drop down. :)

(In reply to comment #2)
It works for me on the latest Fedora/Ubuntu with different file managers
(dolphin, nautilus, caja). Given that you have the dependencies installed
(gvfs or gnome-vfs, depending on the libreoffice build flags), I have no
idea what could go wrong. Maybe strace could give us some hints?
I have the dependencies installed because it works with the provious version.

As a workaround you could try to disable the remote url forwarding by
commenting 'X-GIO-NoFuse' (for GNOME) or 'X-KDE-Protocols' (for KDE) lines
 in the libreoffice .desktop files.

Your workaround works.

Not a blocker - lowering to major for now. Blockers are literally saved for
only the most serious bugs (for instance if most users could not install
LibreOffice). Majority of users don't use macros - data loss therefore seems
 like major.

May be this bug is not a blocker for using LibreOffice Calc.
But it may be a blocker for those, who need this functionality and no
workaround is available.

May be that the majority of users don't use macros, but many (more as we
believe) want it. But when such a basic functionality (for macros) doesn't work
and has no workaround, they never change from MS-Office to Linux because
complex text-documents, spreadsheets or databases may be their main usage.

It IS a blocker for all those people who want to use macros, but not writing
bug-reports.

Yes, I know, this is only one individual opinion.

If I need to change the order of conditions in conditional formatting i have
 to rewrite many of them
 Steps to reproduce:
 1. create two or more conditions in conditional formatting, save
 2. try to change their order
 3.

 Current behavior:
 not possible (to my knowlege)
 Expected (wished) behavior:
drag'n'drop or up/down arrows icon should change the order of conditions

 Operating System: Windows 7
 Version: 4.1.4.2 release

Hi,

a very useful request.
Current workaround (very extensive):
- Adding a new empty condition with EXTRA-button.
- Copying previous conditions one by one to new position.
- Editing the condition to be inserted.

OS: Linux Ubuntu 14.04 i386/32bit
LO-Version: 4.2.4.2 release

Confirmed in Linux Mint in 3.6.7, 4.0.6, 4.1.6, 4.2.4, 4.2.6, 4.3 beta 2, and
4.4 alpha.

Only 4.0 was able to reopen with the same crispness of the original image. 4.2
and above added an extra bordered box in the header (bug 76633). 3.6, 4.3 and
4.4 have the correct image dimensions without the image being cropped inside of
it. None were able to retain the original positioning of the original image.

Ah - interesting; I see it's postprocess/CppUnitTest_services - which (FWIW)
looks hyper-cool; great to have a test that loads and checks all registered
services (I assume that is what it is) =)

I guess I need to re-run that under valgrind.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 79983] New: Calc sort lists aren't case sensitive

2014-06-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Summary: Calc sort lists aren't case sensitive
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: mihovil.sta...@gmail.com
  Hardware: Other
Status: NEW
   Version: unspecified
 Component: Spreadsheet
   Product: LibreOffice

Option is question is:
Tools / Options / LibreOffice Calc / Sort Lists

For croatian locale there are pre-defined sort lists and one of those is short
weekdays:
pon, uto, sri, čet, pet, sub, ned

If I:
1. Add custom sort list: PON, UTO, SRI, ČET, PET, SUB, NED
2. Enter into A1 cell: PON
3. Grab A1 cell by bottom right corner and pull in to A7.

I will get this result:

PON
uto
sri
čet
pet
sub
ned

It always uses first predefined sort list.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 79989] New: EDITING: Instability handling special characters in Cambria Math font.

  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Windows (All)
  Reporter: java7n...@gmail.com

Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.2.4.2 release

A document with characters already inserted (step 1)

Problem description:

Attempting to use special characters on Cambria Math font causes crashes,
particularly when deleting them. (Note: will probably need Cambria Math
installed to try this - it comes with all recent versions of Microsoft Office)

Steps to reproduce:

1. Add a text box with several special characters (use Insert/Special
Characters and scroll down to the bottom of the options) in Cambria Math
(already done for you in the attached example document)
2. Enter text editing mode on the text box
3. Place the caret at the end of the text (do NOT highlight any characters)
4. Press backspace once
5. Click outside of the textbox to deselect it
6. If the document did not crash on deleting this character, or recovered,
repeat steps 3-5 to delete one more character

Current behavior:

Usually crashes Libre Office Draw, sometimes recovers and garbles the
characters for a few minutes of the application not responding. Sometimes after
saving and reloading the document, it is possible to delete 1 character without
crash, but then it usually crashes attempting to delete a second character.

Expected behavior:

The last character should be deleted, application should not crash.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 79721] Oracle Report Builder stops when report is going to have more than 10 pages

Have tried it with the attached database. I have set Raport2 to limit 100 for a
test. Works, but has the CPU (1 core) runs at 100% for a longer time. Then
tried it with limit 200 and get a grey background without content, while the
CPU is running at 100% - have stopped this process after some minutes.

Then I tried to save the writer-file (limit 100). It needs nearly the same time
as creating the file.

It is the same behavior with LO 4.1.6.2.

I don't know if we could say this is a Base-bug. I recognize also a problem to
open the saved file. Note there are nearly 6000 shapes inside such a file and
the whole report is created with frames in Writer. We could really say: The
limit is reached for such a construction.

--- Comment #8 from Simo Kaupinmäki isoku...@gmail.com ---
The grey background is actually field shading, which can be toggled on and off
separately (View Field Shadings). But I agree that it would be more intuitive
if the highlighting of these formatting characters was linked to the visibility
of non-printing characters.

Besides no-break space (U+00A0) and non-breaking hyphen (U+2011), there are
other characters that have field shading, including at least soft hyphen
(U+00AD), zero width space (U+200B), and word joiner (U+2060). On the other
hand, narrow no-break space (U+202F) and figure space (U+2007), for example, do
not have field shading, although they are also exceptional as regards line
breaking.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 79995] New: SideBar: Tab Bar Icons are not visually indicating status when selected

2014-06-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon

  Severity: normal

  Reporter: vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu

Version: 4.3.0.0.beta2

When the Sidebar (docked or un-docked) is activated for any of its supported
components, the Tab Bar Icons representing the Panel active in the Decks: i.e.
Properties, Master Pages, Sytles Formatting, Custom Animation, Slide
Transition, Gallery, Navigator, and Function--do not visually indicate when the
panel is selected.

True regardless of selection of the Icon theme from Tools - Options - View:
Icon Size and Style

The Icons on the Tab Bar remain the same whether the panel is selected or not.

Seems that with GTK UI implementation that as the widgets can be traversed,
focus and selection status should trigger change. Currently focus will shift
the Icon, but when the selection state changes there is no indication in the
icon to show it as selected.

Seems an oversight that should be a trivial adjustment, if even a box around
the widget and not a shift in Icon rendering.
