[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 81808] Tables inserted in Writer do not adopt the language of the surrounding text
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=81808 Matthew Francis fdb...@neosheffield.co.uk changed: What|Removed |Added Status|RESOLVED|REOPENED Resolution|NOTABUG |--- CC||fdb...@neosheffield.co.uk Ever confirmed|0 |1 --- Comment #2 from Matthew Francis fdb...@neosheffield.co.uk --- Thank you for your suggestion, which was helpful. However, I believe that there is still an issue. Please allow me to restate slightly The specific property in question is then not surrounding text (which as you say does not exist as a concept), but previous paragraph. Two further examples which together show the inconsistency of existing behaviour: 1) If I create a paragraph with style Heading 1, set the language to English (USA), then press the return key to insert a new paragraph, the new paragraph has the style Text Body, but still has the manually selected language English (USA) despite the fact that the new underlying style has the language English (UK) selected. Thus, in the general case, manually set attributes are inherited by a following paragraph even when a new style is selected automatically by the style rules. 2) If I set all the text in a paragraph to have font Wingdings and language English (USA), then insert a table from within the paragraph, the table content also has font Wingdings, but language English (UK). Thus, there is already a mechanism whereby some, though for some reason not all, manually set attributes are inherited by (the paragraphs within) a table. I would suggest that a manually set language is also an attribute which it is useful for a table to inherit, just as the manually set font is already inherited. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Problem description: Whenever I export a Writer file into pdf and open the pdf-file with Adobe Reader, the file name of my Writer template appears in the title bar of the Adobe Reader and not the file name of the pdf-export file which is by default the same as my odt-file name. In the odt-file, the file name of the used template is stored in the properties. (Writer) File Properties tab Description Title field. It is just an annoying bug as the template's file name always needs to be removed. The same is valid for Calc, Impress and Draw. pdf-exports from Base I cannot comment; I don't use it (yet). The file size is arround 5Mb. Almost every time i edit the file, i randomly lost one or more images (i got a blanc rectangle with three red dots in it). Please take a look at my working file (see attached file) The missing image is a pressure cooker, on page 115... I did an update to the last version of my libreoffice versions (both on windows and ubuntu system 4.2): no change. I mainly used my file under ubuntu but also did some changes on various computers running windows with same problem. So, is there a work arround to avoid those disappearing images ? I guess it might be linked to the huge amount of elements in my document maybe ... Please let me know if you miss some detail about that bug. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 81878] New: FILTER: Ordenar no recalcula valores en celdas ver 4.2.4.2 ; 4.2.5.2
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 70857] Freezes to show formating dialog with CJK UI in Ubuntu
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70857 --- Comment #23 from Kevin Suo suokunl...@gmail.com --- Summary of this bug: LibreOffice takes a long time to show up almost all of the following/properties dialog in Ubuntu, with zh-cn system locale and zh-cn LibreOffice UI. The freeze also happens with Japanese and Korea UI in my system. The freeze do not happen in Fedora. I do not believe its ubuntu's bug, because all other applications works fine in my system. Steps to reproduce: 1. A fresh install of Ubuntu 14.04, Simplified Chinese locale. 2. Make sure you have Simplifed Chinese UI installed and enabled with libreoffice. 3. Try to open any of the following dialog: * In Calc: format cells; characters; format page... * In Writer: format paragraph; characters; format page; edit styles... Current behaviour: LibreOffice freezes for about 10-20 seconds at step 3 before open the dialog. The bug behaviour did not happen in earlier vesions (3.6.7, 4.0.*), so it's a regression in version 4.1.*. callgrind_annotate output in attachment 103159. valgrind terminal output in attachment 103160. (generated by doing Format - Paragraph - Cancel in Writer) With this bug, one can do nothing with libreoffice in Ubuntu. The only workaround is to use english UI. If more debug work is needed, i will provide. As it is now, it appears to accept only absolute paths, which makes this feature essentially broken/unusable if the presentation will occur on a different machine than the one used to create the presentation, since the file system will likely be different.
