I'll give it a try, using formula/source/core/api/FormulaCompiler.cxx
FormulaCompiler::CreateStringFromTokenArray() to handle OOXML-functions
(FormulaGrammar::isOOXML( meGrammar ) being true) in a similar way
PODF-functions are handled.
Don't expect instant fixes, my available time is limited.

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 81863
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: Rulers extend to the edge, instead of floating freely
(like they did in 4.2)
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Windows (All)
  Reporter: fuer_komment...@yahoo.de
  Hardware: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.3.0.3 rc
 Component: Writer
   Product: LibreOffice

Created attachment 103626
  -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=103626action=edit
Screenshot

In 4.2 the rulers started to float freely, in 4.3 they do not however. They
have a gray bar extending to the window borders again.

Would be nice if this can be fixed, the free rulers was one of the best UI
decisions ever made.

Not sure if the ruler background came back, or if the paper background color so
that ruler and paper have different background. All I know: the rulers are not
floating anymore since 4.3.

Additional notes: The option menu (LibreOffice - Appearance, the one with the
color schemes) does NOT provide the exact same gray for the Application
Background as the ruler background is using, and the ruler background is not
changable in this menu. So I can't even fix this with custom settings.

The issue is that the source cell range for the List Box control it is not

Perhaps its because of Bug 50716 : Contents of the linked cell always returned

Same problem here with Win 7 Pro 64bits and LibO 4.2.5.

On a large ods file (attached files could be good examples), clicking the 'Find

cells coordinates then Libo freeze / hangs up

Same problem with 4.3 RC

No problem with 4.1 branch

Perhaps side effect related to resolved bug 79011 ?

Can we add Kohei Yoshida to CC list ?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 81808] Tables inserted in Writer do not adopt the language of the surrounding text

--- Comment #2 from Matthew Francis fdb...@neosheffield.co.uk ---
Thank you for your suggestion, which was helpful. However, I believe that there
is still an issue. Please allow me to restate slightly

The specific property in question is then not surrounding text (which as you
say does not exist as a concept), but previous paragraph.

Two further examples which together show the inconsistency of existing
behaviour:

1) If I create a paragraph with style Heading 1, set the language to English
(USA), then press the return key to insert a new paragraph, the new paragraph
has the style Text Body, but still has the manually selected language
English (USA) despite the fact that the new underlying style has the language
English (UK) selected. Thus, in the general case, manually set attributes are
inherited by a following paragraph even when a new style is selected
automatically by the style rules.

2) If I set all the text in a paragraph to have font Wingdings and language
English (USA), then insert a table from within the paragraph, the table
content also has font Wingdings, but language English (UK). Thus, there is
already a mechanism whereby some, though for some reason not all, manually set
attributes are inherited by (the paragraphs within) a table.

I would suggest that a manually set language is also an attribute which it is
useful for a table to inherit, just as the manually set font is already
inherited.

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for the explanation. I can confirm this issue in LibO 3.3.0, 4.2.5 and
4.3.1.

Steps:
1) Open attachment 103155
2) Select the 5 address lines
3) Change font size to 9pt
4) Click at the end of any of the lines
5) Font size is set to 11pt

It is strange because if i save the unedited file as an odt and then reopen it
and do the changes, it works fine.

Bug ID: 81866

Summary: VIEWING: StartCentre displays information from private
documents
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: ahpat...@gmail.com
  Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA PossibleRegression
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.3.0.3 rc
 Component: UI
   Product: LibreOffice

Problem description:

Information from private documents saved with a password for security and
privacy is leaked through the StartCenter.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open a top-secret password-protected document
2. Close all open documents
3. Look at the top-secret document's thumbnail in the StartCentre to read some
of its contents.

Current behavior:

StartCenter displayes thumbnails of all documents.

Expected behavior:

No thumbnail should be displayed or created if a document is saved with a
password. Not only is this visible in the StartCentre, but presumably the
unencrypted content from the thumbnail is kicking around in memory even if it
is removed from the StartCentre.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 81867] New: FORMATTING: Calc crash when using conditional formatting

2014-07-29 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=81867

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 81867
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: FORMATTING: Calc crash when using conditional
formatting
  Severity: blocker
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
  Reporter: mar...@studiostorti.com
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.3.0.3 rc
 Component: Spreadsheet
   Product: LibreOffice

Calc crash when you try to use the conditional formatting.

I'm sorry but I can't submit a clear step by step procedure to reproduce the
crash.
The problem occurs when you try to format the cell using the conditional
formatting.

In my case, I was using the condition formula is MOD(ROW(A1);2)=1 and
formula is MOD(ROW(A1);2)=0 for obtain an automatic alternation of two
colored backgrounds for the cells.

The crash occur when you manage an existing conditional formatting or when you
try to add a new one.

1) start LibreOffice Calc
2) Format - Conditional Formatting - Condition...
3) Select the condition formula is and type the condition MOD(ROW(A1);2)=1
4) Select a style to apply
5) Click Add
6) Insert a second condition formula is and type the condition
MOD(ROW(A1);2)=0
7) Click Add
8) Repeat the steps 3,4 for the other columns using a different style.

Try to add or manage the conditional formatting using Format - Conditional
Formatting - Condition... or Format - Conditional Formatting - Manage... and
repeat it 3 or 4 times.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 81609] non printable characters not visible any more

2014-07-29 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=81609

--- Comment #7 from Paolo Benvenuto paolobe...@gmail.com ---
I have two libreoffice installations on two pc with same os and release and
same libreoffice 4.3

One libreoffice behaves well with non printable characters, the other doesn't.

So I'd say that it's not libreoffice, but something I have/haven't installed.

What could I look for? I already purged all libreoffice* packages and
reinstalled them, nothing changed.

Screenshot showing the bug.

Problem description:

Whenever I export a Writer file into pdf and open the pdf-file with Adobe
Reader, the file name of my Writer template appears in the title bar of the
Adobe Reader and not the file name of the pdf-export file which is by default
the same as my odt-file name.

In the odt-file, the file name of the used template is stored in the
properties.
(Writer) File Properties tab Description Title field.

It is just an annoying bug as the template's file name always needs to be
removed.

The same is valid for Calc, Impress and Draw. pdf-exports from Base I cannot
comment; I don't use it (yet).

I did not test other pdf-readers

Steps to reproduce:
1. Start a new file in any of above listed application from a template
2. Export to pdf
3. Open the pdf-export with Adobe Reader

Expected behavior:
The title bar of the Adobe Reader should show the file name of the pdf-export
(= by default the file name of the odt-file) and not the template's file name.

Problem description: When I create a freeform object with text inside, and then
rotate the form, it displays correctly. But when I close the file and open it

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a freeform, whatever the form, just close it.
2. Double-click on it and type text in it (do not use the text tool)
3. Use right-click - Position and Size - Rotation tab - Enter a value
different from 0.
4. Now close the file.
5. Open the file you just closed : the form is rotated as before, but text is

Current behavior:
Text goes back to a 0° Rotation whereas the form keeps the given rotation

Double/middle wildcard .*pattern.* has not implemented yet, but it seems, it
would be useful, so I will check it, as a general solution for similar
 problems.

yes, I put you on CC in other autocorrect corner case where a double/middle
wildcard would be really a bless. I keep my fingers crossed.

For some reason autocorrect fails to correct these even with the wild card.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 70625] Add --cat parameter to make git diffs pretty

2014-07-29 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70625

--- Comment #6 from Deena P.F. deena.fran...@gmail.com ---
There is small problem with the idea, the --convert-to option prints out to
stdout a string indicating the file names involved.

For example :

$ soffice --headless --convert-to txt:Text --outdir /tmp /tmp/filezBIL6j.odt

This prints out the following string to stdout :

convert /tmp/filezBIL6j.odt - /tmp/filezBIL6j.txt using Text

If we are to reuse --convert-to code, this string will be present along with
the --cat output.

Unfortunately, I could not find where this string gets printed in the code
using http://opengrok.libreoffice.org/

With LO 4.2.4.2 on Debian unstable:
1. open scrolling.ods
2. press any movement key (e.g. cursor right), and hold it for a few seconds
3. enjoy the incredibly fscking slow 0.5 fps update speed while the charts are
visible
4. after releasing the key the cursor continues moving for about a minute
5. try to figure out which key does what

I guess the input buffer gets corrupted somehow.

Well, I don't care if it is light-grey or dark-gray, I only want the paper
background and ruler background to be the same color, so that the rulers appear
to be floating. ;)

I also remember this being listed as an optical feature for 4.2 somewhere (so,
removing this in 4.3 should at least be noted and explained somewhere, if it
was intentionally changed).

But wheter or not the rulers are floating in the future: it should at least be
the same on all platforms - currently it seems only to be
broken/different/nonfloating on Windows, but is still teh same on MAcOS and
Linux as it was in 4.2.

Hello everyone, I have some issue with a document containing arround ~50
differents images (from png files), 16 pages and a lot of groups made from
those images and various shapes. The file size is arround 5Mb. Almost every
time i edit the file, i randomly lost one or more images (i got a blanc
rectangle with three red dots in it).

Please take a look at my working file (see attached file)
The missing image is a pressure cooker, on page 115...

I did an update to the last version of my libreoffice versions (both on windows
and ubuntu system 4.2): no change. I mainly used my file under ubuntu but also
did some changes on various computers running windows with same problem.

So, is there a work arround to avoid those disappearing images ? I guess it
might be linked to the huge amount of elements in my document maybe ...

Please let me know if you miss some detail about that bug.

Initialy, i asked this question here before filling a bug:
http://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/37398/images-randomly-disapear-in-libreoffice-draw/

And i found that someone has the same problem on older version.

arcchivo rar con los datos

Aqui les envio una hoja calculos Calc realizada con LibreOffice, que la utilizo
para llevar control de cuentas de clientes.

El error me lo hace en LibreOffice version 4.2.4.2 y en la version 4.2.5.2 ;

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 70857] Freezes to show formating dialog with CJK UI in Ubuntu

2014-07-29 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70857

--- Comment #23 from Kevin Suo suokunl...@gmail.com ---
Summary of this bug:

LibreOffice takes a long time to show up almost all of the following/properties
dialog in Ubuntu, with zh-cn system locale and zh-cn LibreOffice UI.

The freeze also happens with Japanese and Korea UI in my system.
The freeze do not happen in Fedora. I do not believe its ubuntu's bug, because
all other applications works fine in my system.

Steps to reproduce:
1. A fresh install of Ubuntu 14.04, Simplified Chinese locale.
2. Make sure you have Simplifed Chinese UI installed and enabled with
libreoffice.
3. Try to open any of the following dialog:
 * In Calc: format cells; characters; format page...
 * In Writer: format paragraph; characters; format page; edit styles...

Current behaviour:
LibreOffice freezes for about 10-20 seconds at step 3 before open the dialog.

The bug behaviour did not happen in earlier vesions (3.6.7, 4.0.*), so it's a
regression in version 4.1.*.

callgrind_annotate output in attachment 103159. valgrind terminal output in
attachment 103160. (generated by doing Format - Paragraph - Cancel in
Writer)

With this bug, one can do nothing with libreoffice in Ubuntu. The only
workaround is to use english UI.
If more debug work is needed, i will provide.

Thanks!

yes, I put you on CC in other autocorrect corner case where a
double/middle wildcard would be really a bless. I keep my fingers crossed.

I plan to add it soon, sorry for my being late to answer, thanks for your help!

Remove commented code in OutputDevice::ReMirror

The following code was reimplemented in a cleaner fashion some time
ago. However, it was just commented out and never removed. There is
no need for it now, so removing. It's in the DVCS if it's really
needed :-)

--- Comment #17 from Joel Madero jmadero@gmail.com ---
It was indeed that easy to confirm.

Setting to:
New - confirmed
Major - essentially loss of data (or addition of data that is unwanted)
High - default seems fine.

Would be nice to know if this one is a regression - unfortunately my main
machine with older versions installed is down until at least tomorrow. If it's
a regression please put what version it works on, add regression to keyword,
and bibisectRequest to whiteboard. Thanks!

retested under a very old WinXP 32bit machine.

I still confirm slow scrolling but I see no issue when I stop pressing the
arrow keys.

the cursor immediately stops and doesn't do anything weird.

probably a Debian unstable specific issue

--- Comment #8 from Michael Meeks michael.me...@collabora.com ---
We could of course add a different option to LibreOffice specific to this
functionality (perhaps) eg. a --cat file parameter ? that could output the
plain text on stdout - and avoid the necessity to manage /tmp files in shell -
which is a bit horrible =)

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 81654] FORMATTING: Unable to change font color

2014-07-29 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=81654

--- Comment #13 from Richard A Blaine d...@theblaines.net ---
Yes, that was the problem. After un-checking the 'Use automatic font
color for screen display' option, font colors for text are now
displaying on the screen.

I am not sure if that setting is the default or I selected it for some
reason.

Many thanks for following thru with this. It must have taken a lot of
time and trouble on your part to resolve my issue and I am grateful.

 Current behaviour:
LibreOffice freezes for about 10-20 seconds at step 3 before open the dialog.

@Kevin: Thanks for the summary. Do you have the ttf-wqy-zenhei package
installed as suggested by comment 17 and if so, which version?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 81879] New: Presentation Interaction Play sound should accept relative paths

2014-07-29 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=81879

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 81879
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: Presentation Interaction Play sound should accept
relative paths
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
  Reporter: code3rea...@gmail.com
  Hardware: x86 (IA32)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.2.5.2 release
 Component: Presentation
   Product: LibreOffice

The 'Play Sound' option in the 'Interaction' dialog should accept relative
paths to the soundfiles. As it is now, it appears to accept only absolute
paths, which makes this feature essentially broken/unusable if the presentation
will occur on a different machine than the one used to create the presentation,
since the file system will likely be different. Embedding the sound files would
be a better improvement, but this would seem to be much more work. I am on
linux, haven't tested on other platforms.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 81880] New: UI: Ability to search for ClipArt

2014-07-29 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=81880

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 81880
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: UI: Ability to search for ClipArt
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: eengn...@yahoo.com
  Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.2.5.2 release
 Component: Writer
   Product: LibreOffice

Problem description:

This is not a bug, but an enhancement request.

After installing the two Open ClipArt modules and attempting to insert pictures
from the Gallery, I noticed that there is a very large number of pictures to
choose from, but no way to quickly and easily search for ClipArt on a
particular subject.

This enhancement request would probably also affect all of the other
sub-projects such as Calc, Presentation, Base, etc. because of the LibreOffice
modular nature.

Cordially,

Arthur Baldwin
Operating System: All

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 81389] FORMATTING: Language change

2014-07-29 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=81389

--- Comment #2 from Giulia maildigiu...@gmail.com ---
Hi Sophie,
first of all, thank you for your answering.
Then I wanted to spot that the language change works really really bad.
Even doing as you suggested me, every time the text is modified, it comes
back to the main language, ignoring the style applied.
Really annoying.
Thank you for listening

Giulia

Hi Giulia, you need to set a paragraph style to use a different language. For
 that:
 - display the Styleformatting window (F11)
 - right click the default style and chose Modify
 - under the Font tab, set the language to English
 - press ok
now, each time you need to write in English, apply this style. If you need
 more
help please ask on the users list or the Ask site. Closing as notabug, please
reopen if this doesn't answer your request and provide a step by step to
 reproduce.
