That being said - it's not an invalid request so setting to NEW but I highly recommend going to the user list and seeing if you're setting up your databases right. I realise this report is mainly following a PowerTools line of enquiry, but it may be worth confirming whether this Windows service is (not) a factor also. I'll look into it but I'm almost certain that it isn't the cause because the error was showing on a XP machine also, where such windows anti-malware services didn't exist. I'll test this issue on the 4.3 LO version to see if the bug is still there. I think it will be there because I followed the Release notes of the launched versions and didn't saw this FDO there and besides this would be closed by someone if it was solved. Though Document Viewer have no such problem with the same file. Attached PNG file contains screenshot which explains it very clearly. Pages 7-11 (among others) all show these out-of-place grids of icons. Testing the same file in Evince 3.10.3 shows no out-of-place grids of icons. As a result of this version set to 3.6.7.2. The best way to avoid rendering issues such as these is to keep these aspects of the formatting an even multiple of (or readily relatable to) each other: - Font size (currently 12 pt). - Line height (currently Single, thus ~14.1 pt). - Line spacing/leading (currently 0 pt). - Table cell spacing (currently 2.9/2.9/2.9/11.3 pt). This is one reason why the 12 pt font size has such currency: it is convenient to both multiply and divide. As a workaround, perhaps try setting the line height to a fixed value (16 pt e.g., 1 1/3 the point size) and the table cell spacing top / bottom to 4 pt or 6 pt. This may give a more stable result. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Rendering under v4.1-4.4 show the same problem: the frame (blue graphic) at top-left is anchored to character with wrap set to through/in background. In older versions of LO this evidently was not being handled correctly and so was pushing the small table at top-right to the right and the larger table down the page, keeping positioning as expected. This is not correct behaviour for wrap through/in background i.e., other objects should flow over the top / in the foreground. Evidently under later versions this frame is now being treated in the correct manner, thus causing the other tables to appear in front. Changing the wrap of this frame to no wrap fixes the display as expected. (In reply to comment #2) (In reply to comment #0) I don't konw why, but sometimes the tables are not transferred to the next page. This has to do with one of the (heading?) styles being set as keep with next. In this case I think the problem with the provided DOC is that it is a table-within-table arrangement i.e., a single cell in the outer table (no border) containing a multi-page table (with border) and some trailing text paragraphs inside. Workaround (valid in v4.1+) to resolve the text flow issue: 1. Highlight the outer table (top left corner select whole table cursor). 2. Table Convert Table to Text (use default tab-delimited settings). 3. Highlight only those entries that are to be in the table. 4. Table Convert Text to Table (use default tab-delimited settings). I am not sure to what extend LO can or is expected to handle table-within-table arrangements, particular in situations where the outer table is a multi-page single cell. There may be some limitations. Requires developer comment. Summary amended for clarity. This appears to be an artefact of having the Keep with next paragraph setting selected for the paragraph text (either via direct formatting or the paragraph style) and then saving to DOC. An ODT is rendered with the table immediately following the leading text (table setting overriding paragraph setting) cf. bug 34957, which describes the same setting, for the table. In DOC the table is pushed to the next page (paragraph text setting overriding table setting). This behaviour (for both ODT/DOC) is consistent across all the versions indicated. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 84425] New: PIVOTTABLE: Dynamic Table column field filter drop down menu not activated
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=84425 Priority: medium Bug ID: 84425 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: PIVOTTABLE: Dynamic Table column field filter drop down menu not activated Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: Windows (All) Reporter: riggra...@gmail.com Hardware: Other Whiteboard: BSA PossibleRegression Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.3.1.2 release Component: Spreadsheet Product: LibreOffice Problem description: When creating a pivot table, the column field heading filter drop down doesn't activate or display, you have to try to change layout of the columns to rows to appear. It happens using a selected data range or a named range. Tested it in Win XP, Win 8.1, with actual and new user profile of LO 4.3.1.2 and 4.3.2.2 I've noticed after updating LO 4.3.1.2 to 4.3.2.2 in Win XP and trying a new pivot table for my work, so I tested it in another desktop with 4.3.1.2 with the same results. Steps to reproduce: 1. Create a dynamic table from selected range or named range 2. When the pivot table appears in a new sheet, the column heading has a title “data”, and I doesn't have the drop down menu, it should have the field title, and the square icon of the drop down menu of the filter and sorting. (first left screenshot of testing files) 3. To make the drop down menu appear again, click on the column heading “data” and drag it to the row fields, as if you try to change the layout, releasing it, it wont change the layout, but will refresh the column heading with the correct name and the drop down menu icon. (second right screenshot of testing files) 4. After that, you con change the layout as is expected, and the filter option for column works fine. I have made 3 test files, the first is tested in Win XP and LO 4.3.1.2, with the original sheet of the file with changes to the data for testing, the second es tested in Win 8.1 and LO 4.3.2.2, but created a new file and pasted the data, the third file was tested in Win 8.1 and LO 4.3.2.2 with a new user profile with the same results; added some screenshots before and after Current behavior: No drop down filter options icon for column heading Expected behavior: The drop down filter options icon should appear Operating System: Windows 8 Version: 4.3.1.2 release Last worked in: 4.3.0.4 release -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Current behavior: Gray square behind tab stop symbol only appears when symbol is clicked. Square disappears as soon as document is saved, or after closing LibreOffice. Linked images disappear after save. This affects Draw and Presentation but is OK in Writer. I found the way to reproduce it: 1. Download the attached files D1.odg, D1.odt, D1.odp and IMG_0570s.jpg into the same directory. 2. Open D1.odg, the image should appear. Confirmed 3. Move the image a little bit, press save, 3b. Move it again, press save. 4. Close the file. 5. Open it again and the image has vanished. It can be fixed manually by Edit/Links... as described earlier. NO REPRO -- Image remains visible The presentation D1.odp is affected in the same way NO REPRO -- Image remains visible but the Writer file D1.odt works fine. It is not clear to me what the behaviour should be for this setting (fo:keep-with-next=always) against paragraph text and/or a table. Currently these are the resultant effects in a multi-page table for two file formats: - ODT, paragraph setting (in table): no effect on table. - DOC, paragraph setting (in table): table pushed to next page. - ODT, table setting: table pushed to next page. - DOC, table setting: table pushed to next page. Presumably content should be influenced by this setting in a consistent manner i.e., paragraph kept with paragraph and table row kept with table row? I would think that pushing content to the next page makes more sense (for a multi-page table) than having no effect - especially for the table setting. Pushing content is a clear visual indicator that the setting is in effect. How else can a table be forced to commence on a new page via styles?
