[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 86841] New: Some writing aids not functioning
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=86841 Bug ID: 86841 Summary: Some writing aids not functioning Product: LibreOffice Version: 4.5.0.0.alpha0+ Master Hardware: Other OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Libreoffice Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: philip...@hotmail.com Created attachment 110216 -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=110216action=edit no grammar checkbox for malawi A twitter user mentioned that spellchecking was working but the thesaurus wasnt on Windows https://twitter.com/GeneWhitehead/status/538249433532882944 and shared a picture of the thesaurus checkbox not being available in the writing aids dialog. The weird thing is that the thesaurus checkbox is available to him when he changes the language to english-uk. I wasnt able to confirm this as i have english-us installed, but noticed that if i select 'English (Malawi)' in the language drop down, grammar will not have a checkbox. Tested this on master on linux and 4.3.4 on Windows. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=48733 --- Comment #11 from Beluga todven...@suomi24.fi --- Ok, how about this scenario: 1) feature gets added for chart styling 2) the choose themes feature gets an overhaul as discussed in bug 77569 and bug 85998 This way you could have a pre-defined dark theme (currently selectable from View - Toolbars - Tools - Choose theme) and it would include a style for charts. Try the example attachment 109080 to see, how the themes work now. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 85978] MENUS: Global shortcuts not appearing in menu entries
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=85978 --- Comment #9 from Jay Philips philip...@hotmail.com --- (In reply to Jan Holesovsky from comment #8) OK, so this is because there are two .uno: commands that do the same - .uno:CloseWin and .uno:CloseDoc. The .uno:CloseWin is in Window menu, and has the Ctrl+w visible there, .uno:CloseDoc has no shortcut assigned. Well i guess the best choice is to give .uno:CloseDoc the shortcut, as many people see the File menu and less people see the Window menu. But they do the same otherwise; so I guess we could change the description of '.uno:CloseWin' from 'Close Window' to just 'Close', and use it instead of '.uno:CloseDoc'. Well 'Close Window' is under the Window menu and it would look strange having it as 'Close' when the menu has 'New Window'. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=73223 A (Andy) stgohi-lob...@yahoo.de changed: What|Removed |Added Status|UNCONFIRMED |NEW CC||stgohi-lob...@yahoo.de Ever confirmed|0 |1 --- Comment #1 from A (Andy) stgohi-lob...@yahoo.de --- Reproducible with LO 4.3.4.1, English and German, but if I write the words in capitals I get no correction suggestions. Steps done: 1. Open WRITER and assure that the page format is A4 with all margins = 2.00 cm (FORMAT - PAGE - tab PAGE) and the selected font is Liberation Serif with font size = 12 2. Write an English and German sample text, I used the following: This is a large house with a very nice garden around. In the garden there are trees which are beautiful. This is a large house with a very nice garden around. In the garden there are trees which are BEAUTIFUL. 3. Select the first two paragraphs and go to TOOLS - LANGUAGE - FOR SELECTION - English (UK) or (USA) 4. Select the last two paragraphs and go to TOOLS - LANGUAGE - FOR SELECTION - German (GERMANY) 5. Add a minus to have a manual hyphenation: beautiful - beauti-ful, BEAUTIFUL - BEAU-TIFUL, wunderschön - wun-derschön, WUNDERSCHÖN - WUN-DERSCHÖN Interim Results: LO marks beauti-ful and wun-derschön a wrong (they are underlined) 6. Go to TOOLS - SPELLING AND GRAMMAR Result: LO suggests the following non-existing corrections: beauti-ful: beaut-ful, beauts-ful, beauty-ful, beau-ful, beatitude-ful, beating-ful BEAU-TIFUL: no correction wun-derschön: wund-derschön, wen-derschön, nun-derschön, tun-derschön, Sun-derschön, Run-derschön, Tun-derschön WUN-DERSCHÖN: no correction After choosing one of these suggestions, LO marks them also as wrong. - Bug LO marks wun-derschön as wrong, but not wunder-schön. Actually of course both are correct in this case. I suppose that if we add a minus to hyphenate a word manually, LO doesn't recognize it as a hypenation, but sees them a compound words and then checks every word part itself. In German: derschön does not exist as a word and is therefore also not possible as a compound word. - Bug - Enhancement Request: I would like to suggest that it would also be possible to make a manual hypenation with a minus. LO should then check if this word with a minus is at a line break and if yes then LO should check it as one word (also possible correction suggestions). If this word with a minus is not at a line break then LO should check it as compound words and all words separatly. But I am not sure, maybe such an enhancement has also drawbacks? Maybe it would otherwise be possible to add a shortcut and/or an icon in the toolbar to add a manual hypenation. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 86843] New: vba crashes after fireChangeEvent is called
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=86843 Bug ID: 86843 Summary: vba crashes after fireChangeEvent is called Product: LibreOffice Version: 4.0.0.3 release Hardware: Other OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: BASIC Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: jl...@mail.com Created attachment 110217 -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=110217action=edit xls macro that demonstrates crashes when combobox, radiobutton, textbox values are modified using VBA code On Fri May 10 17:04:39 2013, VBA was updated so that the change() routine of textboxes and comboboxes would be triggered if macro code sets the value. LibreOffice frequently crashes (complete exit) when that happens. This could easily be the same problem noted in bug 86667, but I wrote in that bug that it should focus on the two documents part of the crash. I'll mark that one as depending on this bug, which will focus on a crash with a single document open. This commit added the fireChangeEvent call: authorNoel Power noel.po...@suse.com2013-04-23 17:13:37 (GMT) committerNoel Power noel.po...@suse.com2013-05-09 13:11:18 (GMT) commit4bad1a8e314269f2538133eb241135a225ac3f4f (patch) treeb608bf79ffd0b34bd74d142cd89bb58cda498618 parent3fb03cc873280c49e04c59062c1ad21b53c7f5df (diff) support api initiated change_event for combox textbox Change-Id: Iff51a184792e9d12accb902df1772fc07589443b To replicate the bug: Use the test document by clicking on a non-empty cell, which will set the control's value to the value of the cell. The crash occurs VERY easily in Linux - usually within the first three cells selected. On Windows it can also crash, but with much less frequency. If you use the VBA debugger to step into the code, you will see the crash happening when you Exit Sub from a change() routine. I found three controls in the libreoffice codebase that call fireChangeEvent(). All three are included in the test document, and all can cause the crash. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72871 --- Comment #4 from Bamm Gabriana b...@distroastro.org --- Hi fathuzzaman and Maxim, I'm the one who made the Mint-X icon theme. I submitted an updated theme to Mint's lead developer Clem and the updated theme is included in Mint 17.1 Rebecca, due to be out in a few days. To fix your issue, simply upgrade your Mint version to Rebecca. Clem and I both agreed that we should submit the theme upstream to LibreOffice. However, I do not know how to do this. I know that Ubuntu's theme Human is now part of LibreOffice, and I would like Mint's theme to be part of it too, since Mint is also one of the more popular distros. Aside from Mint, the Distro Astro project, a Linux distro for astronomy based on Mint, also uses this theme. In fact, I initially developed this for Distro Astro and submitted it upstream to Mint. Therefore, at least two distros will benefit if the theme becomes part of LibreOffice. Something similar happens in Impress, if I have a presentation and when I open a 3rd or 4th slide, previous images are erased. In both cases about pasted images directly from internet as well as those of local folders, eg. the Pictures folder. It would work in conjunction with the enhancement that will allow styles to be applied to charts. The choose theme feature itself is in need of a total rewrite from Basic to C++ as can be read from the report. I'm just trying to not grow the mountain of feature requests too much (over 2000 currently) - if your wish could be achieved with the two enhancements I linked to, we would not have to add a third one to the pile. I know that the underlying implementation is different: you started with a request related to the display style and I'm offering a solution that would style the document itself. Have a look to the table. It contains 10 rows with data, but much some of the fields don't contain any value. There is a query with two parameters. Execute the query whitout filling any content to the parameters: 4 rows would be shown. Now open the form. The form contains a subform, which works with the same query. The fields in the mainform should be empty. Press the button Search. The same query in the form shows 10 rows, outside the form it shows 4 rows. Let's have a look at a part of the code of the query: SELECT * FROM Table WHERE ( LOWER ( Firstname ) LIKE LOWER ( :qfirstname ) || '%' OR :qfirstname IS NULL ) The problem is the definition of OR :qfirstname IS NULL. Fields in a form will give NULL to a field of a table, if there isn't any content written. So the paramter could be NULL, if it is started by a query inside a form. The dialog for parameter-input won't set NULL to an empty parameter. It will set an empty string instead. So the second condition couldn't be reached. Queries shouldn't work different inside or outside a form. Input of values in a form shouldn't work different to input of values through a dialog. So the dialog for paramters should submit NULL instead of an empty string. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
