there's nothing odd. a test file should have been there from beginning.
it's necessary to speed up the QA job so we don't have to recreate from scratch
such a file.

if users create complete reports with clear descriptions and test files and/or
screenshots we can test more bugs in less time, otherwise we have to test less
bugs in more time.

so having said that, this bug persists even in 4.5.0.0.alpha0+

actually the reset button deletes any of the new autocorrect entries you
entered in the replacement table until you click ok.

I mean, if you add a yellwo - yellow new replacement and you click NEW, then
if you change your mind, instead of clicking OK (which stores the new
autocorrect and exits the replacement table) you click on RESET which deletes
the new entry
but keeps the old one.

so it doesn't resets the whole dataset to the factory default but just to the
last saved version... and there's no confirmation dialog.

regarding the documentation, it's true that that function is not documented.

Well, I meant in its current state. Of course we can create a new command that
will internally call this service, and use that new command for the menu,
instead of directly referencing the service.

Referring bug 86572 and do hard recalc CTRL+SHIFT+F9 than the graphic is oke.

It didn't work always with hard recalc CTRL+SHIFT+F9, sometimes you must save
the file and when you open the file again, the graphic/chart is oke.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 86871] New: Abolish use of single ellipsis button labels in UI

2014-11-30 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=86871

Bug ID: 86871
Summary: Abolish use of single ellipsis button labels in UI
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: Other
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: UI
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: olivier.hal...@documentfoundation.org

Several UI buttons are labeled with a single ellipsis (...).

The use of such label in buttons is less than optimal, since it does not give
to the user an idea of what action will be executed on clicking the button.
Besides, the new Glade/UI files are suitable for widgets autosizing, and button
size adjustement should not be a concern, which will help translators.

My suggestion is to change the ellipsis into a more meaningfull label.

For example
Insert - Table of Contents - Index and Table of contents tab - Create from
- Styles - ...

This last ellipsis means actually Assign styles

Huhhh, strangee...

I was just about to answer Julien, now I can't reproduce the problem anymore. I
was 100% sure, that I stopped all instances of LibO when I modified the
main.xcd, (I have to do that modification on every single LibO Update, so I'm
quite trained in it), but seems like after a restart of the machine, the
problem is gone.

I'll try to set the bug to works for me. Sorry for the inconvenience.

This has been asked for before - it will probably never happen, all of the
modules use the same basic instantiation, separating out the code would be very
arduous, which is why they come in one single app bundle.

You can in theory create separate launchers for each module anyway from the
command line, or maybe with Applescript - this is an exercise left to the user.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 59715] document as e-mail not working if app name includes spaces

2014-11-30 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=59715

--- Comment #8 from Alex Thurgood ipla...@yahoo.co.uk ---
Confirming with LO 3.6, but setting to needinfo for reasons below.

This was an old bug, and a known limitation of the detection code. LO 3.6 is
ancient in project terms.

Does it still occur with the latest production release of Libreoffice ?
Please retest and report back.

Bear in mind that bugs in end of life versions such as 3.6.x or even 4.2.x are
not going to be fixed in those versions.

@David : the langpack is the extra dmg file that you download and install
separately if you want correct support for your language. The default LO
download for an English browser is en-US, which might be why you are not
getting the results you would like.

My suggestion - try downloading and installing a langpack that has Euro as its
native currency format. Possibly, the en-GB langpack also does this correctly
(I haven't tested).

I think it is a pity. The fix will save a lot of time on long documents that
mean long time pdf exports.

2014-11-30 Thread bugzilla-daemon

--- Comment #4 from Alex Thurgood ipla...@yahoo.co.uk ---
For example, if I apply the 4 border setting to a cell at 1.25pt then it
appears visually thicker on screen compared to a default 0.75pt.

If I save the sheet, close LO, the re-open the sheet, my 1.25pt cell border
shows approximately the same thickness as the cell with 0.75pt borders, except
for right-edge border which appears to de displayed correctly. Note that the
cell border properties of my 1.75pt cell are saved correctly, but not displayed
as such on screen.

So, if there is a problem, it is with screen display, at least in my tested
version

Version: 4.5.0.0.alpha0+

I'm pretty certain this is a dup, as border thickness display inconsistency has
been reported before on bugzilla.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 86873] New: Edit single character hyperlink by selecting it from right to left causes text to be blank in Edit Hyperlink UI

2014-11-30 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=86873

Bug ID: 86873
Summary: Edit single character hyperlink by selecting it from
right to left causes text to be blank in Edit
Hyperlink UI
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 4.3.4.1 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: liviupro...@yahoo.com

Created attachment 110262
  -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=110262action=edit
Screenshot of issue in action

If you create a hyperlink with a single character label, if you select text
from right to left it will cause text field to be empty in Edit Hyperlink
interface. It works as expected if selected from left to right.
After editing the link if you don't manually restore the text, hyperlink editor
will automatically replace the text / label of hyperlink with the link itself.
Exactly what happens when no text/label is supplied to a freshly created
hyperlink.
Attached a screenshot of issue and a sample document.

@Paul : if you can provide the original document, the please do, so that we can

There are known issues when exporting to xlsx from Numbers, even when you
reopen in Excel. One can hardly blame LO if it gets import wrong on a format
that Numbers doesn't export to correctly.

I had the problem again the last two nights.

I was doing some test trying to get a traceback from another user (User A
logging off, User B having WinDbg connected to soffice.bin) now, but that
doesn't seem to work (debugee doesn't stop running). I'll try again at night.

I already tried adjusting the clock, and having it set short before midnight
then passing midnight with LibO running, but I cant reproduce it. It seems to
only happen at night, after some hours of uptime.

Anybody an idea, how to get a traceback from an process, when the user that
started the process is logging off? I also tried procdump soffice.bin -e -h
-t without success.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 86860] Border thickness 1.50 reverts to 0.75 when saved/reopened.

2014-11-30 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=86860

User profile reset did not help. The exact steps to reproduce:

- Reset user profile (rename folder ~/Library/Application
Support(LibreOffice/4/user).
- Launch LibreOffice.
- In the launch screen, click Calc Spreadsheet.
- Select any single cell, right-click to Format Cells
- In the Borders tab, use the small arrow buttons to select Line Width 1.50
pt.
- Click the second Default for Line Arrangement (Set all four borders) and
click OK.
- Type 1.5 in the cell in question.

- Select another single cell (not adjacent), right click to Format Cells.
- In the Borders tab, use the small arrow buttons to select Line Width 0.75
pt.
- Click the second Default for Line Arrangement (Set all four borders) and
click OK.
- Type 0.75 in the cell in question.

- Note that the border at the 1.5 cell is visibly thicker than in the 0.75
cell.
- Select the 1.5 cell, and right-click to Format Cells
- Note that the border thickness is still 1.5.
- Save the Spreadsheet as .xls or .xlsx.
- Quit LibreOffice, and reopen the same Spreadsheet (in LibreOffice).

- Note that the border thicknesses now look the same.
- Right-click the 1.5 cell to Format Cells

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 86875] New: The sifr icon are not good for dark themes

2014-11-30 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=86875

Bug ID: 86875
Summary: The sifr icon are not good for dark themes
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 4.3.4.1 release
  Hardware: Other
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: UI
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: valeriod...@yahoo.it

sifr icon theme with a dark window decoration

Dear amazing developers,
most of the time I work by night and the brightness of the default desktop
theme produce excessive light for me, so I usually use a dark theme for my
desktop.

I also use the sifr icone theme, because it's fantastic, I love it so much!
(and thank you to make it!)

However, the sifr icon theme cannot be good for dark windows decoration without
some changes, see the attachment.

Is it possible to have a sifr version adapted for the dark desktop themes?

Thank you!

Regards,
Valerio

Hello Valerio,

Thank you for the bug report. We are aware of the sifr on dark theme and we are
looking into providing a light sifr icon theme to solve this issue in the near
future.

Hello Alex,

Thank you for submitting the bug. I can confirm that the bug is available in
3.3.0 and master on Linux.

I can confirm that this happens with a single character or multiple characters
in the text of the hyperlink. The main issue is that right to left selection to
the beginning of the text is causing the problem.

Working on Mageia 3 and now 4, I cannot remember this appearing in LibreOffice
4.0.x. And BTW, I have been using (but not very frequently) LibreOffice on Win
7, and never had this problem. In fact, I make my documents on Mageia4 now, and
print them on a Win 7 PC, which has networked access on my files on the Mageia
PC.
The printing goes from Win 7 directly to the printer as both are on my WiFi
router. the printer is connected to the Mageia PC on the USB.

Saving in .ods format does not have this issue.

that's why I wasn't able to reproduce...
saving as .xls or .xlsx trigger the bug with border thickness lost after
reopening the file.

so the bug is reproducible with Win8.1x64 too using 4.3.3.2 and 4.2.6.2
so it's not a new bug. we should dig bugzilla for potential duplicates as Alex
suggested.

.doc file that makes writer hang when opening it

Hello,

libreoffice writer hangs forever at 100% CPU trying to open the .doc file
attached to this bug report.

This is reproduced every time on my libreoffice 1:4.3.3-1 on Debian Testing,
and by a number of friends with unspecified operating systems and versions of
libreoffice.

Regards,

Enrico

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 86880] New: SIDEBAR: the tab in view should be the last selected by the user before exit

2014-11-30 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=86880

Bug ID: 86880
Summary: SIDEBAR: the tab in view should be the last selected
by the user before exit
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 4.3.4.1 release
  Hardware: Other
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: UI
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: valeriod...@yahoo.it

Hi devs,
when I work on LO I usually need to move through the numerous chapters of the
book and I like make use of the sidebar selecting the Navigator tab, then
expanding the Headings.

However, when I open LO to work again on my file, I need to redo all the steps
because the sidebar is focused by default in the Properties tab instead of my
last selection, Navigator Headings.

Is it possible to remember the user's favorite selection of the sidebar in the
next work session (not only the first level, the tabs, but also the selections
done inside the tab)?

I mean, if the user change the default sidebar view is for a reason, probably
for his/her work is better to have in view something different by Properties,
so should be fantastic if LO take a snapshot of the user UI before exit and
reload that setting in the next session.
What you think about it?
Thank you!

Regards,
Valerio
