Maybe a Linux only issue? If you do not mean quotation marks, what did you mean with rich quotes? I don't know if it's a Linux-only issue: I don't have a different OS at hand to try it out elsewhere. As for rich quotes, I mean quotation marks which do not use the same symbol as the beginning and the end of the quotation, but 2 different symbols. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88117 --- Comment #15 from V Stuart Foote vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu --- No, my fault. I routinely resize my Draw page and eliminate margins reducing size of the graphic down to what I want it to be--and then exporting the entire ODG. That works. What is not correct, and which I didn't consider is when selecting some number of Draw elements and then exporting just that selection. That is your usage but for the entire graphic, but would be an issue for any use case of some subset of Draw elements. Selection and export to SVG should honor the bounding/extent of what was selected. Export of selection to WMF, EMF, BMP all are correct--just the export to SVG is truncating right edge and bottom of extent. You can work around it as I'd been saying--but it is not otherwise correct handling (I suspect problem is in the creation of the SVG from the selected Draw elements, since the other vector formats are correct). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 66916] Writer doesn't show ligatures of some fonts
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=66916 --- Comment #7 from JC Ahangama j...@ahangama.com --- (In reply to Khaled Hosny from comment #6) (In reply to General Kutuzov from comment #5) I think integrating XeTeX/XeLaTeX typesetting engine to handle these features can found the way to solve the bug. We already use the same layout engine used by XeTeX (HarfBuzz) on Linux. Your statement that ligatures of simple scripts work fine in OSX and Linux is true. I have a feeling though that Windows treats only the set of English ligatures as ligatures of the Simple Script, perhaps continuing the stop-gap measure used until font makers understood OpenType PUA (Private User Area) and look-up tables. The English ligatures were assigned the first few codepoints of PUA. Very soon, Unicode refused to assign any more codepoints for specific ligatures of languages, telling them to follow OT standard. Open Type (now Open Font) standard allows font foundries to place ligatures in the PUA and evoke them using look-up tables. There are three kinds of ligatures but Standard (regular) Ligatures are rendered by a program by default. Windows Notepad, All browsers, Abiword, Mac, Linux, LO Write in Linux, Excel, Gnumeric show standard ligatures correctly. Uniquely, MS Word and LO Write do it randomly and intersperse spaces everywhere and forget to make some ligatures as well. IE was like this until the latest version, but now fixed. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
