I'm not reproducing this under Win8.1 x64 using LibO 5.0.3.1
but I'm able to reproduce it using LibO 4.2.6.2

while the file is loading you cannot click any element of the start center UI

Attaching 2015-11-01 nightly w breeze screenshot.

Fine for me. Setting to WORKSFORME. Now that the background is grey and the
hoover effect is a lightgrey it even has a "semi-transparent" effect although
that may not be, what is actually happening.

This bug affects not only the text but also to inserted images / shapes
everything.

Also when we select the image and drag the control pointers (small green
squares - appear around the image) towards left / right or Up / down .. its
expected the image should get flipped horizontally or vertically respectively
... its not Happening as well !

Seriously the most stupid bug, I wonder why such basic functionalities are not
taken on highest priorities by developers

I tried the New commands to add rows below and columns right functionality in
Clac and it works fine, thanks for that, but as I displayed the additional
icons in the toolbar (default icon set on windows) it seems to be quite the
same as row above and column left. I think this is a little bit confusing.

I want to propose to have two different icons for these functions (perhaps
designing a marked row and a green on above and a green one beneath or
something like this).

flickering is still present in LibO 5.0.3.1 even with "Use OpenGl for all
rendering" checked.

no more flickering with that option checked in LibO 5.1.0.0.alpha1+ (x64)

since LibO 5.0.x the Start Center left sidebar is not green anymore and is now
light grey.

is the current mouse-hover effect still annoying to you?

Hi all,
can confirm this effect/behaviour on my own Base Application with the 5.0.1.2
with Win and internal HSQL-DB.

No new informations about the bug, it is described in whole in the comments
above, just a confirmation that this strange behaviour occured in my Base
applciation with the new version, too (and not before LO v5)

The afflicted component of this bug was formerly set to UI. This was a guess.
Some investigation shows: The actual bug should be found in the flip routines.
The kind of the errors occurring with > 'Flip' > 'Horizontally' may differ:
Example:

A line with asymmetric arrows containing Text and flipped horizontally will
- correctly be mirrored with respect to the line and arrows
- while the text will be rotated by 180° (already reported).

A rectangle containing text and an asymmetric 'Gradient' will not be changed at
all by a horizontal flip: undisputable bug with respect to the shape/gradient.

See attachment demonstrating the differences (made with V5.0.2).
The combination of errors cannot easily be ascribed to the UI.

Component changed to 'Draw'.

(Text being part of a graphic object should always take part in
flipping/rotating the objects. There is a primordial inconsisteny however,
regarding sizes as long as the text actually is text and not graphics.)

Crash Report

Hi, 

After following steps, application crash is caused.

(1) open BASE File.
(2) Open Report Wizard. ie, press "Use Wizard to Create Report" on Task.
(3) After select "field in report" on Step 1, press next.
--->  Application Crash.

I confirm it on LibreOffice Version 5.1.0.0.alpha1 on linux.
I do "NOT" confirm it on LibreOffice Version 5.0.2 on linux.

I have a document (about 150 pages) written in MS Office Word which I exported
as ODT and am going to process with LibreOffice in the future. I was changing
the font from Cambria to Century Schoolbook L when in one place of the
document, when I change the font, Writer hangs up. I copied that part of the
document to another document and I was able to change the font.

Then I moved the original ODT document to another Linux machine which has
LibreOffice 4.4 and I was able to edit the document as I wished. When I was
done with the problematic part, I copied the document back to the first machine
with LibreOffice 5.0.3.2 and opened it. What happens now, is LibreOffice
freezes directly when it opens the file.

Unfortunately I cannot send the problematic document sine its content is
confidential. Is there some other way to provide useful information for
debugging this issue?

Strange Dave.  I have now reinstalled windows 7, and LO now Version: 5.0.2.2
Build ID: 37b43f919e4de5eeaca9b9755ed688758a8251fe

Copy and paste of text works.  As before.

The other problem remains:  No other copy and paste of images from clipboard
works.

There has been talk of other programs maybe being the cause.  I've got a pretty
minimalist set of these.  Snagit, Google Drive, Dropbox.
Nothing like a clipboard manager.  Just in case Snagit was interfering, I
uninstalled this.

Is there any debugging an end user can look at?
Has anyone else used Snagit and found this copy and paste works?

UI issue

Dear Technical assistence,

I've already written to the Design team, but I haven't receive an answer from
them.

I think there are two little graphical issues in the Mac version of
"LibreOffice 5.0.2.2.". Specifically in the start screen and in the "about"
window. I attach four images to better explain what I mean. The Mac version
seems to have an older image of the logo in the "about" window. In the start
screen "the five" image doesn't have the transparency. Also the latest package
installed by default in Ubuntu 15.10 has the right graphics.

I hope that even the Mac version could be upgrade to new graphics logo.

Not sure why we would need that icon in the list, as the dialog is to set which
folder it should be placed in. This is no different than the 'Save As' dialog,
where you select the folder you want to place it in and set the name you want
to use.

When I add a motion path animation to an object in Impress and save it as
Powerpoint 2007-2013 XML .pptx format, Powerpoint 2010 (Win)/2011 (Mac)/2013
(Win) complains that the file is corrupted and fails to repair it. This is a
show stopper/major blocker for me, hope it gets fixed!!

AFAIK in Windows is not possible to do selective module installation... correct
me if I'm wrong... so I was wondering if the same applies to Linux as well...

if selective installation has been removed from Linux too, this bug has no
reason to exist, but if that option is still available the bug is still valid.

When I select "Quotations" style, the text is indented.
Perhaps locale UI dependent?

But maybe "nothing to do with start center" is a bit strong.  Start Center
thumbnail views are built based on what is held in the MRU list per user in
their profile. In fact the preview "thumbnails" for the Start Center are held
with the MRU entry per user in profile.

So, while this remains an issue for enhancement to the File -> Recent Documents
menu list under meta bug 61174 -- there remains an identical issue with MRU in
the graphical interface of the Start Center -- bug 80934 "START CENTER: A GUI
means to filter the thumbnail view list of MRU recent documents by module" 
under meta bug 61914

Suspect the filtering of MRU -- by list or by thumbnail view, would be designed
and developed together.
