Odd; would love to know if others can reproduce this. Is it 64bit specific, is
it German specific ? the code that throws the error is:

OUString SAL_CALL ModuleManager::identify(const css::uno::Reference<
css::uno::XInterface >& xModule)
throw(css::lang::IllegalArgumentException,
  css::frame::UnknownModuleException,
  css::uno::RuntimeException, std::exception )
{
// valid parameter?
css::uno::Reference< css::frame::XFrame >  xFrame (xModule,
css::uno::UNO_QUERY);
css::uno::Reference< css::awt::XWindow >   xWindow(xModule,
css::uno::UNO_QUERY);
css::uno::Reference< css::frame::XController > xController(xModule,
css::uno::UNO_QUERY);
css::uno::Reference< css::frame::XModel >  xModel (xModule,
css::uno::UNO_QUERY);

if (
(!xFrame.is() ) &&
(!xWindow.is()) &&
(!xController.is()) &&
(!xModel.is() )
   )
{
throw css::lang::IllegalArgumentException(
OUString("Given module is not a frame nor a window, controller
or model."),
static_cast< ::cppu::OWeakObject* >(this),
1);
}

in the framework ... which suggests that you have some extension or module
loading there that is really unexpected. What extensions do you have installed
? [ I guess even a StarBasic extension could cause that ].

Does it disappear if you move your profile away ?

Actually it is sufficient to open the original Excel file in LO and save it
under a different name.xlsx and open that in Excel2010 to reproduce. (LO 5.2
master)

Pretty-printing and comparing both files'
xl/pivotCache/pivotCacheDefinition1.xml streams shows they are quite different,
additionally to different attributes the LO-saved one contains
single values in elements which the Excel-saved one does not.
Plus, the original contains one further element with an
and , though adding that manually to the LO-saved
stream didn't help.

What's if you select the range with data to copy instead the whole sheet?
[Ctrl+Home] [Shift]+[Ctrl+End]

Sometimes the whole sheet have direct formats although there is no data, and
seems LibreOffice doesn't like it too much.

No, I can still reproduce this with a more recent build,

Be sure to use a new user profile or you need to do a

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 96193] New: Highlight and dividers on toolbar rendering offset when window maximized.

2015-12-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96193

Bug ID: 96193
   Summary: Highlight and dividers on toolbar rendering offset
when window maximized.
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.0.3.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: UI
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: hredm...@une.edu.au

Created attachment 120941
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=120941=edit
Incorrect rendering with maximized window on primary screen

The dividers and highlight when hovering over a toolbar icon are rendering
above the toolbar.

This appears to only be occurring when the window is maximized on the same
screen as my gnome bar. It looks like the positioning is calculated based on
the offset within the window but then implemented using screen positions.

Everything renders correctly on my second screen which has no window manager
chrome or when the window isn't maximized.

LibreOffice Build: 5.0.3.2 Arch Linux build-1
Window Manager: Gnome 3.18.2

--- Comment #3 from Laurent BP  ---
The problem is not only the scroll bar, but also selecting a different value in
list does not change value.
It seems to affect ALL combobox in all modules in all UI (toolbar, sidebar,
dialog box).

I found 1 exception: in Tools > Options > LibreOffice > View: changing icon
style does not change value in combobox, but DOES change icon style in UI. On
the opposite, other combobox has no effect.

Workaround: use arrow key to modify value in combobox

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 96180] strange behaviour when printing multiple sheets at once

2015-12-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96180

--- Comment #8 from GUTH Christophe  ---
The bad result is visible on the "bad result obtained when all sheets are
printed once" in attachments (the good result is in the first attachement "good
result when printing only three sheets at once"). Theses attachements where
printed and then, scanned to show the differences.

in summary:

- some dashed lines are displaced between the two prints (above "Commune",
under "HAGUENAU", in the frames reserved for administrations in the bottom of
the page (above "Références listes MAJIC 2" etc.)

- the office stamp is displaced between the two examples (it should be under
the text "Cachet")

When printed in Pdf Creator virtual printer, I got sometimes (not always) a bad
result (example in PDF on page 7, and in page 10 where two dashed lines are
displaced).

The PDF was obtained by printing with "All Sheets" checked on print dialog.

This occurs only when printing more than 3 sheets at once (in particular when
printing all sheets at once, but it seems not to occur when i print only 3
sheets at once).

The sheets where it occurs are sheets containing pictures (like the office
stamp), or drawing elements (lines and shapes). I hadn't noticed differences on
the sheets containing only cells (pages 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 11, 12 and 13 are not
affected).

I think that all attachments are there to see the problem. It's a difference
between the document and the result obtained when printed and it's not
systematic (only when all sheets are printed in one File / Print command)

Thanks

Do you mean "wizard"? I have tested the wizard to create a form with LO
5.0.3.2. No problems here. Form has been created by wizard.
My system: OpenSUSE 13.2 64bit rpm Linux.

Excuse me. I don't know the English-Name for KALENDERWOCHE().

Now to my description:
I open a Spreadsheet, editing with LO 5.0.4.1, with LO 5.1.x.x or LO 5.2.x.x.
I save it. Then I reopen it with LO 5.0.4.1.
The function is changed in KALENDERWOCHE_ADD() and the result is incorrect.

I hope, I can help with this description.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 96197] New: Korean text to Wrap in the middle of a word

2015-12-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon

MS Office 2010 Word "text to wrap in the middle of a word" option

While typing in Korean. I find a strange behavior that must be an error.
When I type a long word near the end of a line. The word just wrap in the
middle.

I have attached a MS Office 2010 Word example below as a picture attachment.
If you see the Tab "Asian Typography" under Format Paragraph
Clicking "Allow Latin text to wrap in the middle of a word" (a Red Arrow on
Left)
Allows a word to break in the middle (Red arrows on Right), but obviously more
natural expected result would be like below picture, where the word will start
on a new line leaving spaces on the previous line.

If this was English above line would look like:

Allows a word to break in the middle (Red arrows on Right), but obv
iously more natural expected result would"
---
This is NOT natural. I have spent several hours to find format, options,
autocorrect, customization, etc..., but failed to find the solution. Plus,
obvious searches through the web.

Solution would be
1) Do not let the word break in the middle when near line end.
2) Better yet: Let user have choice between the two formats like MS Word or
Hancom Word.

Thank you much,

My perspective--out of scope and of limited utility... at best merits an
extension that would require continual care to maintain "compatibility" with
the myriad of FOSS, freeware and commercial software in various stages of life.

Of course what would greatly facilitate this and similar data driven frameworks
will be the completion of the LO migration to Firebird replacing HSQLDB as our
embedded SQL database. The front end "skinning" needed for PIM, bibliography,
collection management etc. gets much simpler when embedded database is again
robust.

But what the heck--over to ux-advise, anyone else have a perspective on adding
this as a core function?

I found the CPU usage high in idle state.

In Windows XP SP3 in a PC with intel 2 core duo, the CPU usage is about 50% in
idle state.

In Windows 10 in a Laptop Corei-7, is about 12% constant, that is 100%/8 cores.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 96196] New: Exporting a chart in PNG does not preserve transparency or absence of area fill

2015-12-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 96196

   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 4.4.6.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium

Created attachment 120944

file to test bug

When exporting a chart that has no background area fill or some transparency as
PNG, the resulting file does not have (100% or partial) transparency conserved,
but rather a fixed colour that is the result of the addition of the (more or
less) transparent + a white background.

Steps to reproduce:
- create a chart with some random data
- select background of chart, right click, "format chat area"
- either remove the colour in "Area" or set a transparency level in
"Transparency"
- right click on the whole chart, "export as image...", choose PNG format, give
a name, save

Expected result:
- Transparency or absence of background is conserved

Actual result:
- If colour was removed, the result is a white background
- If transparency was set on a colour, result is the addition of the partial
transparency on a white background

Attached spreadsheet allows to test exporting the charts straight away.

Open Form and have a look at the different dates shown from the same
datasource.

Open the attached database.
Open the form.

There are 5 fields:
"ID" for the primary key.
"Date", which is a date field in the table, shown in a date field of the form
and also shown in a formatted field.
"Date_as_Integer", which is an integer field in the table, shown in a date
field of the form and also shown in a formatted field.

Now have a look to the value of "Date_as_Integer" in the formatted field.
differs 2 day to the same value shown by the date field.

Open the table. I have formatted the "Date_as_Integer" in the table-view as a
date. The table shows the same behaviour as the formatted field of the form.

Seems the date field of the form starts counting with date 1900-01-01 as '0',
the formatted field starts counting with date 1899-12-30 as '0'.

All this appears only if the base-value of the field is an integer value. This
would be used in the internal HSQLDB, because there isn't a function like
dateadd integrated. I'm using queries like this:
SELECT "Date", DATEDIFF('dd','1899-12-30',"Date")+21 AS "Returdate" FROM
"Table"

This gives the correct value in formatted field and in a formatted query, but
doesn't show the correct value in a date-field.

--- Comment #1 from rob...@familiegrosskopf.de ---
I have forgotten to write down the testsystem:
Tested with OpenSUSE 13.2 64bit rpm Linux.
Tested with LO 5.1.0.0.beta1, 5.0.3.2, 3.6.7 (no older installed hier.
Tested also with AOO 4.1.2
All tested Office-Versions give the same result. Could be it is inherited by
OOo, but I can't test it here, because I haven't installed the early versions
any more.

It looks much like Bug 93978, which was fixed recently. Would be great to
retrieve a backtrace of the crash, so we can know for sure:

By the way it's possible to write variable including underscores by quoting
with double-quotation marks, e.g., `"abc_de_fghijk"'.
Prefix `italic' if you want it to be slanted like normal variables.
