I am very surprise with this answer and the rapidity you take to close this bug
report.

What do you mean by the current master 5.2 alpha ?
Is it the 5.2 version ?

If yes, for us, the 5.2.x.x version are not actually in production.
See this link : https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleasePlan
That means also, we will live during all the 2016 year with this bug!!!
Or could you inform us about the release plan of the 5.2 version ?

Normally, in the beginning of February, the first 5.1 version will be
accessible in fresh mode (not in still mode).
In the same time, the 5.0 version will pass normally in still mode but we have
also a crash with the attached file?

That means we can only use the 4.4.7 version to ensure that we will have no
problem with PowerPoint presentation file under LO during 2016 year ?

2.Goto menu Format->Page and choose a different page size
3.Try drawing the same item next to it and see the grid is skewed.

The explanation is simple. This is a volunteer project, for a bug to get fixed
a volunteer has to find it interesting. The options are always the same:

1) Fix it yourself - code is readily available;
2) Find a friend/family/colleague to fix it;
3) Pay for a fix;
4) Wait for a volunteer to tackle it.

Most of us fall into category 4 (10's of millions of users, a few dozen really
active developers). We have a few thousand open issues, plus of course
volunteer developers are doing cool things that they find interesting. So yes,
sometimes a bug can sit "confirmed" (NEW) for a long time - this is the world
of open source.

I upgraded again to further diagnose the issue: On Windows, I upgraded from
4.3.7.2 to LibreOffice 5.0.4. The 4.3.7.2 version is completely stable. Version
5.0.4 crashed when I opened a file and generated a threading error (see
attachments). When I deleted pieces of the original file, I could sometimes
save it without any issue, but the behavior seems to be random.
Backing down to 4.3.7.2 does not cause crashes anymore.

Caused by this forum post
http://en.libreofficeforum.org/node/12611#comment-46561 I just tested with
V5.1.0.3 under Win 8.1.
The bug is still "happily living" and has some nice little brothers and
sisters.

By the way: AOO V4.1.2 does not show this bug.

I will not report new details whether there may be some or not. As long as the
bug is stll NEW in its sixth year of life despite the many confirming comments
and not officially recognised nothing will happen, I am afraid.

Can someone explain this to me?

If there is no intention to "reactivate" the option, it might better be removed
from the respective settings dialogs.

Using LibreOfficeDev version 5.2.0.0.alpha0+, I tried editing the docx file and
creating and editing a similar small file with 2 kanji and furigana: minna-san,
konban wa.

If you save either file as .odt, the kanji and furigana are preserved and
everything is fine. If you save it as .docx, the kanji and furigana are
deleted. So it appears that the translation from the libreoffice way of
handling furigana to the docx way is not being done properly.

Well, I concluded that Jay is using gtk2 based on this:

AFAIK Linux-rpm_deb-x86_64@70-TDF tb doesn't provide the gtk3 plugin...

For gtk3 unconditionally, for gtk2 based on
gtk-auto-mnemonics/gtk-enable-mnemonics.

I can confirm this on LO 5.1.0.1 and 4.4.6.3

I've noticed that creating a shortcut with Ctrl+Shift+M for example, does not
work for Cut but using Ctrl+F9 works.

So further investigation should be done to keyboard shortcuts

How to reproduce:
1. Tools >> Customize >> Keyboard tab
2. Chose the shortcut key (upper section)
3. Chose edit as category and paste only text as function, in Functions section
(lower section)
3. press modify button
4. press OK

The shortcut key does not work

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 86310] [EDITING] Copy/paste formatting only with Ctrl+Shift+C and Ctrl+Shift+V or Ctrl+Alt+V

2016-02-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=86310

This is literally the only feature that makes me continue to go back to using
MS Word instead of LibreOffice. It makes editing and fixing formatting in other
writer's documents a million times easier. None of the alternatives proposed
are anywhere near as convenient or as fast as using Ctrl-Shift-C and
Ctrl-Shift-V in Word.
One use case that makes a lot of difference is when I copy the formatting from
a list with bullets. It saves the formatting indefinitely with just one
Ctrl-Shift-C. I can then apply the same formatting easily to all other bullet
lists in the document or slide show simply by highlighting and pressing
Ctrl-Shift-V. I can past the formatting this way repeatedly with out having to
go back and copy it each time.
Styles is definitely the way to go, but the Ctrl-Shift-C and Ctrl-Shift-V
functionality makes it much easier to use Styles, too.
I would also concur that Ctrl-Alt-V would be suitable. It's the functionality I
miss - the keys don't matter.

Hello,

Using LibreOffice 5.0.4.2 on Windows 7, Impress Remote will not connect over
Bluetooth or Wifi, either from my phone (Nexus 5) or my tablet (Samsung Galaxy
Note 10.1).

It used to work perfectly with LibreOffice 4, and I've never been able to make
it work with LibreOffice 5.

Is it a know issue ? I could not find any indication on that anywhere.

Thanks

TK

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 91704] UI: Crash on exit after Address Book Source

2016-02-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91704

Just reproduced this with LibreOffice 5.0.4.2x64 Build-ID:
2b9802c1994aa0b7dc6079e128979269cf95bc78 (de-DE)

- Create some (irrelevant) address book source from .ods document using
Extras/Address Book Source/ by clicking the "Address data source" button,
choose "other external data source" in the assistent that is shown, then click
"Settings", choose spreadsheet document as data source (.ods), enter path to
your .ods document, assign some fields if you want, then click "Complete".
leave "[X] Make address book available in all components of Libre Office"
checked. Some .odb file will be created. Exit writer. => Crash.

Libre Office has stopped working. Unhandled Win32 exception. Close/Debug.

- Same happens, if you already have an address book source attached. Just open
Extras/Address Book Source, click OK, exite Writer. => Crash.

- Actually _using_ the connection (via F4) however works without crash on exit.

Please excuse the poor translation, using German version/UI of Libre Office.

I can say that changing the focus by tab button does not modify the space

However when I click on the text there is a slight change in the position of
letters. Some letters seem to get closer to each other and some move to right

Do you have this problem when you change focus by the button?

Comment when having the mouse over the relevant cell.

Same steps as https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=74140

To replicate the bug, follow these steps:
1. Write "test" in cell D24 (as an example) and attach the note, "This is a
long
sentence." to D24 (Insert-Note)
2. Right click on the cell and select "Show Note"
3. Right click on the note and select "Text..."
4. Under "Text Animation" tag, select an "Effect" from the combo-box (choose
only scroll effects, this doesn't happen with blinking)
5. Click OK to close the dialog box, then disable "Show Note"
6. Hover your mouse over the cell to see the bug. (Notice that when you move
your mouse away, the text remains in the display. See attached picture)

Context: I was looking at sc/source/ui/drawfunc/drtxtob.cxx:369 which seems
like it is supposed to fix the 74140 bug.

Often when creating a presentation, it would be nice to link images because
they are still updated in the future (Graphs for example).
But a copy of the image should be already stored in the presentation, so if I
take it somewhere else the image is still available.

So Impress should update the stored image when it changed (or check if changed
on restart or by pressing to update).
