Not reproduced.

Zoomed in so I could snap carefully. Changed from A4 to A2 after drawing first
rectangle. Second is identical as is the grid.

Please try with a newer version. 5.1 is out.

Set to NEEDINFO.
Change back to UNCONFIRMED, if the problem persists. Change to RESOLVED
WORKSFORME, if the problem went away.

Reproduced.

For me, it inserts a space when clicking. If something is selected, selection
is replaced by space.

Well that is new to me. I used to use labels (always the same custom label
model for years) this exact way.
It it was a wrong method it would never have worked, I guess.

Moreover the guide here

In version 5.0 and before, the save icon was not colored if the document was
saved. What was a great indication.

Now, in 5.1 I have noticed that there is save icon, compared to older version,
always colored. What is a leading me to believe the document is not saved. When
is actually to be saved, there is a star in the icon. 

My question is, will this stay lake that and I just have to get use to in
something else. Sorry, but I have to say this kind of things are disturbing me
and probably other people. Is really necessary to make changes like this, does
this make any sense ?

I'm Thai people. I found that some version of LibreOffice has conflicted with
Thai language (Display mistake or display very small fonts). But I noticed that
new version of LibreOffice has fixed Thai language but some newer version still
occur same problem with previous version. I think this should be version

This bug is opened for about 4 years, has the Importance "Highest/critical" and
has 28 duplicates bugs. Now people is starting to be so frustrated by a UX bug
that they are ready to pay for a bounty. 

I mean, for me this is clearly a clue that Libreoffice is failing to provide a
decent suite to Mac OS users. Making bounty for new features or complex bugs is
fine by me, but for fixing a copy/paste bug... one of the most used
capabilities in modern OS/application. 

Let's face the situation here guys, how can we be confident in the support and
maintenance of Libreoffice on Mac in general, when copy/paste is not working
for 4 years?

Last but not least, just take a look at the "blocks bugs" for this:

I'm used to inserting and editing comments to Spreadsheet cells by pressing
Ctrl+Alt+M. It's similar to Google Docs (though in Google Docs there are also
Shift+F2, which resembles inserting Excel-like comments, and Ctrl+Alt+M relates
to inline discussion, which isn't exported when saving from Google Docs).

Until some version, that was single action in Customize window:

Insert → Comment

But in 5.0.4 it does not edit existing comments anymore (not sure how long, but
it worked in 4.4 IIRC and for sure it works in 4.1).

Also I found obscure action, which actually edits comments, but does not add
them:

Edit → .uno:EditAnnotation

Not sure how to classify it, feature request or regression, but I think it's
obvious inserting comments should also edit them, and editing should insert
one, if it does not exist. So basically Insert → Comment and Insert →
.uno:EditAnnotation should be same action from user perspective.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Assign hotkey to Insert → Comment
2. Add comment (via keyboard, press Esc to end editing, it will be saved)
3. Try to edit it via hotkey assigned in 1
Actual Results:  
nothing happens

Comment editing start (comment shown if not hidden and cursor positioned in
comment textbox)

Result of bug

Now downloaded 5.1.0.3, here is another more detailed attempt to describe the
happening.

I open LibreOffice Impress, it pops up in a window at my 3840x2160 monitor.
I get the "Click to add Title" and "Click to add Text" template up. I click
ctrl-a, then hit delete to clear it.
Then I add a minimum sized box. And click the background to drop focus.
(I notice Format->Page has been moved to Slide->Page/Slide properties in the
new 5.1 version)
I go to Slide->Page/Slide properties, and find format is currently at "Screen
4:3". I change it to A4.
Now I draw equally sized boxes around the first, and they are skewed to a
different grid.

Well I am definitely able to insert åÅ without any Alt-codes.
Even ÆØ are in green and blue color in my MS ergonomic keyboard 4000, but I
don't know, how to make them work :)

I was able to insert the characters through "insert > special character", so I
would assume I also would be able to enter it through the alt-code.

to get the colors - its necessary to have dbgutil turned on.

The most interesting thing about Tommy's image in attachment2 is the
vcl::Cursor artifact in it [!] the cursor rendering there is almost certainly
triggered by some timeout that races the re-rendering and wins in his case -
but not in other people's =) that combined with a slow re-rendering of some
quite heavy widgets in there almost certainly causes this issue.

Inserting a png graphic with transparent background into Writer/Calc results in
twisted/warped graphic when printed. If transormed into flattend png (or jpg)
everything is fine.

The problem occurs when printing. Making pdf is OK.

I can't confirm (running Linux currently) but if it's confirmed this is at
minimum a major issue. I have suggested others using Windows 8.1 and Windows 10
to update and they didn't report these issues so I suspect it'll be closed as
WFM but at least if it's confirmed - Major/High is appropriate.

When I merge two cell in one column contains auto numbering, numbers are not
recalculating correctly.
When I reopen this file, numbers is recalculated.

When I try to save file in .DOC or open existing file, numbering newer
recalculating. But I cat save this file in .ODT and reopen it to recalculate
numbering.

This is a duplicate. Unfortunately I can't find the bug so I can't mark it as
such but having two identical bugs open makes no sense. Closing this one as
INVALID *only* because I am 100% sure that there is already a bug open for
this. If someone is able to track down the dupe feel free to mark this one as a
duplicate instead.

Thanks Stuart - we're aware of this - it's a relatively minor bug (in
comparison to crashers/data loss) because it just slows down work (doesn't
prevent quality work from taking place). Thanks again for taking the time to
report.

Seriously I've asked you before to go to the mailing list to get help writing
in English - PLEASE stop reporting bugs that are impossible to understand.
There are mailing lists available where users can help you. Don't reopen this
bug without a much clearer description.

Also - you've been warned about the uselessness of pinging your own bugs with
things like "can someone help" etc... etc

In the future these will just be closed as INVALID and if you mess with the
settings you'll be banned from bugzilla. I usually am not this harsh but you've
been warned a variety of times about:

1) Bugs that are incomprehensible because they are virtually not in English
("vrit-ting" is not an English word);
2) Messing with settings (I understand you haven't done it this time but just a
heads up, in the future these bugs will immediately go to INVALID).


Moving to NEEDINFO - do not just reopen it stating that the enhancement is
obvious - join the mailing list for your locale, describe your problem clearly
there, get feedback, and post a clear comprehensible English response then mark
as UNCONFIRMED.

build failures. Devs don't really monitor bugzilla for unconfirmed bugs. I can

Changed the theme system-wide or just the theme within LibreOffice? Can you put
a screenshot of the post and pre change?

Completely reasonable request. Marking as NEW.

Note: There is a *very* good chance that this will never be implemented (at
minimum it will take a very long time). I've only confirmed that it's a
reasonable request, a developer will have to find it interesting enough to
implement. Developers are volunteers, we only have 2-3 working actively in
Base.

Could you give a try to a build of 5.2 from Tinderbox no. 39?
5.1 release build does not have the debug symbols.

5.2 will install separately, so you don't have to do any special tweaks.

Images are always disappearing in Write when I come to work on them again. Have
increased the memory required for images to 4 times the original setting, but
it still happens.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Insert an image into a document
2. Save and close document
3. Open document at a later date, and image has disappeared (Not necessarily
the next time you open it).
Actual Results:  
Image disappeared, usually with an error message, but sometimes as the image
has actually been deleted.

Expected Results:  
Image to remain everytime you open the document

Freezed Writer during image-loading

I have a document with over 400 images and +1200 pages. All images are linked
to the document. When scrolling through the document, the images are loaded.
This works for most images. When 2 or 3 images are on the same page, the Writer
starts loading Image 1, then 2, then 3, but shows "read-error" on image 1 and
restarts this loop. I have attached a screenshot where 3 pictures are visible
(2 pictures are at the top of the page - you can just see the first pixels - 
and are just scrolling in). This causes the loop. The Writer takes forever to
load them.

Sometimes, the Writer gets it right and after 2 or 3 minutes, the Writer
unfreezes and shows the pictures. When I scroll the document one line, the loop
restarts.

When I write in my document, the Writer occasionally freezes when I get to a
new page. I suppose this could be related with the image-read-error.

I have seen some bugs which are similar, but are fixed/resolved.

I have increased memory for the images, but that didn't help. I even tried a
fresh install on a better machine, and the problem occurs there too. 

OOO Writer 5.0.4.2 on Ubuntu 15.10.

OpenGL enabled

On my Computer:

Lenovo Ultrabook HD display the OpenGL Renderuing fails. 

not active icons become a gray square visibility (see screenshot).

disable OpenGL will fix the problem.

So: Add to blacklist:

document to show the benefit of copying page breaks

This document shows a use case where copying page breaks makes sense. 
There is a landscape page (second page) and you might want to copy that and
paste it at the end of the document. It is not easily possible to copy from the
paragraph before the page break because you'd need to copy the previous table
completely.

Hi Cor,
thanks for this. Being absolute beginner in LibreOffice, I was not aware that
automatic updates only function within one version. 
I updated both machines to current version 5.0.

Now the window for editing links in the Win version works fine.

However, the incompatibility between the Win and Elementary version still
exists!
The initial two letters of the link are no longer deleted, but now replaced by
a "." under Elementary and by a "!" in the Win world.
Means #Test becomes #.st or #!st, respectively.

This 300 page document has one large table. This cause LibreOffice Writer to
become very slow and unusable.

Abiword does not fare much better. With WebODF, the document can be edited but
slowly.

The problem persists on Windows Surface Pro 4 with LibreOffice 5.0.4. I also
installed 5.1 but it does not work either, crashing when trying to show the
presentation with F5. I tried using the trick of disabling OpenGL but it does
not have any effect.

Sorry wor not answering earlier! Yes, I am using JDBC to connect to my
MySQL-database. May I add that in THAT case there is also something that should
be looked at: Even though one can specify "autoReconnect=true" in the
connection string, it is still necessary to answer the resulting message box
with "ok" when the server times out. When using the command-line client (mysql)
for the connection (NOT through LO!), that client reconnects automatically when
loosing the connection.

Though - looking at my work flow and how one notices work - I do not expect
that frequent, I recognize your point...

Not sure if this rises to the level of bug report, but I know that LibreOffice

The document was created in MS Word with MS Office 2010. 

Should I send such import examples as bug reports?
