We drop the arrow when no paste special items are available, and only when the
paste button is enabled. The problem in this case is that we get the "no paste
special items" notification before the "disable the paste button" one.

confirmation text invisible

When using base (it happens in other places too), if I modify a request then
quit, the message box doesn't display the text.
Workaround: if I try to select the invisible text, it appears.
This workaround doesn't always work.

Platform: archlinux, x64 with radeonsi. Intel i7 4770k+HD7850

I thought it was a font problem, but as the text can appear when selected, I
don't think so.

What is strange is that most of the time (in writer for example), the display
messages are ok.
In Base, I can reproduce this 100% of the time. It may happen in Calc too.

When I try to install the LibreOffice_5.1.0_MacOS_x86-64.dmg, the copying
into the Programs directory of my OS X 10.10.5 (Yosemite) Mac Book works fine.
However, as soon as I try to open the Programs's icon, the package verification
runs quite long (showing the progress bar). When the progress bar reaches its
end, the CoreServicesUIAgent process starts to use 80 - 90 % CPU and nothing
happens anymore until you stop that process. No LibreOffice window opens
(neither the splash window).

It isnt a necessity, but it still is an advantage to keyboard users who like
their shortcut keys not to immediately do an action and not show a dialog.

True.

Thanks as i didnt know about this and will add it to the menu bar.

Thanks for noticing. :D

I've proposed changing the various F11 style shortcuts (bug 98333) as they are
are not constant across apps/modules. Shift + F11 is a shortcut used in
spreadsheet apps (Excel, Google Sheets, WPS/Kingsoft) to create a new sheet and
this combination should be ideally also be present in Calc.

Blocks: 98259

Presently the styles shortcuts used in Libreoffice arent uniform across the
apps and the F11 shortcut used for Styles and Formatting isnt a suitable
shortcut according to norms on Windows, as well as Gnome and KDE HIGs.

Current Behaviour:
F11 - Styles & Formatting
Shift + F11 - New Style (Writer)
Ctrl + Shift + F11 - Update Style (Writer)
Ctrl + F11 - .uno:StyleCatalog (Calc, Impress)

New Behaviour:
Ctrl + Shift + F11 - Styles & Formatting (using the same Ctrl + Shift
combination now found with Data Sources and Navigator)
Ctrl + F11 - New Style
Ctrl + Alt + F11 - Update Style
Ctrl + Alt + Shift + F11 - .uno:StyleCatalog
---
F11 - Changed to fullscreen (default on Windows, Gnome and KDE)
Shift + F11 - Reserved as need by Calc for insert sheet
Alt + F11 - Reserved for opening LO Basic Editor

I confirm the bug under Win8.1 x64 using LibO 5.0.4.2 and recent 5.2.0 alpha
daily build.

some table rows are missing in LibO, while you can see them in MS Word (here's
a comparative screenshot between LibO and a PDF exported version of the
original .doc file).

the same issue affects older LibO releases and OOo 3.3.0 too, so the bug is
inherited from OOo.

In addition it prefix each table index entries by the entry number.

Hi @sviatoslav, thanks for reporting.

There is no bug.

In 'Dec 31, 2014'.N1, you have the formula ='Dec 31, 2013'.L1

doing the copy in the new sheet you have ='Dec 31, 2014'.L1

But 'Dec 31, 2013'.L1 and 'Dec 31, 2014'.L1
have different text values.
If you want to keep the sheet reference change the formula to
=$'Dec 31, 2013'.L1

You simply need to apply a different font (as direct formatting) that has the
glyph you prefer.

The Special Character dialog allows you to specify the font and shows a
preview, and pastes the directly formatted glyph in that font.

Also, you can also enter the Unicode codepoint directly with current release:

type U+22 or U+27 then position the cursor immediately after, and convert with
+X -- meaning you can lookup the codepoint for any glyph in any font you'd
like to use and apply/convert it directly. So you'd not necessarily need to
change directly format the font if your chosen font had a glyph that met your
needs.

@Regina, your right of course. But question then about what the filters are
doing differently in the .uno:saveGraphic commands and why SVG would be handled
differently than bitmaps.

What should the correct behavior be for the uno:saveGraphic? Since it should be
fixed one way or the other for consistent UX.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 92796] [ODF] Writer does not remove unused page background image

2016-03-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=92796

Serious bug due to unnecessarily inflated file sizes in storage-critical
corporate scenarios.

Also related: loading styles into a target blank document from an existing
document with page styles containing background images, and in the "Load
Styles..." dialogue explicitly omitting page styles from being loaded, still
results in source document's page style images being loaded into the target
document anyway. The page styles are not loaded, but the embedded images used
in them *are*.

This makes hard manual work of retrospectively replacing certain page style
background images to (for example) a document template, when a bunch of other
custom styles have been added over time.

If anyone has a reproducible workaround for this I'd love to hear it.

Exporting to pdf distorts graphics included in a document. Affects at least
CALC and WRITER. This did not happen with recent prior versions of LibreOffice.

To reproduce:

1) Create a new WRITER document
2) Click "Insert" in the menu and select "Image"
3) Select the attached file (CPA_Eng_rgb.png)
4) Export document to pdf

You will observe a very distorted image in the pdf document (sample attached).

  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED

Created attachment 123127

difference between two types of marks

I used the en_GB quotation mark with a document to specify minutes. I didn't
think it looked good. I tried to replace it with Special Character > Latin >
U+22 - Dec 34. I wanted hour(apostrophe), minute(quotation mark).

This is difficult to describe the difference in the two. My en_GB quotation
marks look like two curved number 9s. The U+22 Dec 34 looks like the top of two
exclamation points. See the attached graphic it may help! This is confusing.

Top left of graphic is my en_GB apostrophe and top right is U+27 Dec 39.

Bottom Left of graphic is my en_GB quotation mark while bottom right is the
U+22 Dec 34.

The replace function does not show any replacements to be replaced.

Yet when I manually replace the single apostrophe, the inserted character looks
different.

I really do not know whether this is because of my language settings (could be
the same character) or it is a bug. I am leaning towards the bug therefore I am
writing this.

Hope this helps.

Yes, but upstreams baseline is intentionally the most ancient we can manage, so
that the upstream binaries can run ~everywhere. Anyway I can take this topic to
the ESC.

FWICT Only gst0.10 works on centos6 so it should work fine there.
Unfortunately, Centos6 doesn't also provide gst1.0 so it wouldn't be able to
build a binary for both.

Centos7 or Ubuntu 14.04 could provide an environment where it could be built
for both gst0.10 and gst1.0.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 98326] New: EDITING: Copy sheet causes duplication of certain columns

2016-03-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=98326

Bug ID: 98326
Summary: EDITING: Copy sheet causes duplication of certain
columns
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.1.0.3 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: sviatos...@outlook.com

Created attachment 123126
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=123126=edit
Bug demo spreadsheet

Copying a sheet with references to another sheet, will duplicate 2 columns
unexpectedly.

To reproduce on the attached file:

1) Right-click on tab "Dec 31, 2014" and select "Move/Copy Sheet"

2) Select action "Copy"

3) In "Insert Before" box select "- move to end position -"

4) Click OK

You will now observe that columns L and M in the original tab (Dec 31, 2014)
are duplicated in columns L, M and N, O in the copied sheet. Therefore columns
L and M were copied twice. You will also notice that certain cells did not move
with the extra 2 columns that were added, for example observe contents of cell
Q13 is the same on both sheets.

I think, that a totally automatic converting is not good, but I would support a
"paste special" e.g in a drop-down-list.

I have considered such feature, but it would have been more complicated. So I
had decided to implement, what was possible with my skills. It has a .uno
command, so as workaround, you can write a macro to do it in one step, insert a
formula and then import the clipboard.

I have to correct you: the acor_.dat is the global autocorrect database in OOo
while acor_und.dat is the name of the same file in LibO

basically they are the same files but have different names in OOo and LibO

--- Comment #10 from Yousuf (Jay) Philips ---
I sent in a patch for bug 88027 which hopefully will get Ctrl + Comma into the
keyboard customization list and once that patch is in, this is a 1-line fix to
solve this.

If you have any other problematic shortcuts in your locale, please add them to
the 'Locale' sheet of the following spreadsheet.

Thank you Eike. Calc will save even more time with manual data entry.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 98322] New: Save functionality should not be blocked just because document is unmodified

2016-03-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=98322

Bug ID: 98322
Summary: Save functionality should not be blocked just because
document is unmodified
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: jstone...@ymail.com

LibreOffice, unlike most programs, arbitrarily blocks the Save function from
working if the current document is unmodified.

This is inconsistent with just about every other program in existence and has
no obvious benefits, but mostly doesn't actually cause a problem unless you're
doing something unusual like re-saving a file just to update its timestamp or
saving multiple copies of a document to old style media that's mechanically
swappable (think floppy disks).

It does, however, cause a significant problem in Calc.

The issue here is that spreadsheets are unique in that saving one doesn't
simply save it's contents; it also saves the current cursor position. Since
moving the cursor doesn't cause the spreadsheet to become modified (nor should
it), you can easily find yourself in a position where you *want* to save the
document but are prevented from doing so.

For example:

Lets says the cursor is currently on cell E23 and I save the document. Then it
occurs to me that I'd rather have the cursor positioned on cell A1 the next
time I open this spreadsheet, so I click on A1 and re-save the document . . .
or at least that's what I'd do in any other spreadsheet program.

In LibreOffice, I actually have to first make a spurious change to the
spreadsheet and immediately undo it just to re-enable the ability to save the
document.

This is a common enough use case that I'm rather amazed that no one appears to
have complained about it before.

Note that while this is primarily a problem in Calc, I really think the Save
disabling should be removed throughout the suite, both for consistency's sake
and because, as I said, there's no apparent benefit to the current behavior.

PDF version showing the expected layout

+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #96326 +++

LibreOffice 5.1.0.3 running on Windows 7 64-bit.

RTF version of document as an example: "Kotimaan näyttelyilmoittaumislomake"
attached, also available at site http://www.kissaliitto.fi/lomakkeet/nayttely

The main problem on those checkboxes is that both DOC and RTF make them bigger
than on the PDF version leading to incorrect layout, i.e. text on two rows
instead of one. Just look at the screenshot attachment, I've marked with red
arrow that "cm" moving to next row because of that too big checkbox problem.

Attached RTF and PDF versions of the same document for comparison as well as a
screenshot showing RTF, PDF and DOC side by side.
