I think "Bug 99207 - Graphite fonts render in negative colors" which also
affect Andika font (and which I also have (discovered today)) is related.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 99491] New: Breeze icons nearly invisible in Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

2016-04-24 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99491

Bug ID: 99491
Summary: Breeze icons nearly invisible in Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.1.2.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice

  Reporter: evan.stra...@gmail.com

Created attachment 124618
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=124618=edit
Screenshot of the toolbars using the Breeze theme on Ubuntu 16.04

I had LibreOffice 5.0+ in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, and the Breeze theme icons were
perfectly visible. Recently, on April 21, 2016, I updated my system to use
Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. Ubuntu 16.04 seems to use a dark theme for its toolbars,
meaning that the dark icons are nearly invisible on the dark toolbar and making
normal use extremely difficult.

LibreOffice_5.1.2_Linux_x86-64_rpm.tar.gz

Hi All,

Would one of our intrepid heroes please fix this for me?

After each 5.1 upgrade, I loose my dictionary (spell check says "none") and I
can no longer spell check or spell as I type. AND I WENT TO PUBLIK SKOL !!!

This symptom includes a fresh .config/libreoffice

This is getting really really A-N-N-O-Y-I-N-G.

Please fix. And fix for subsequent upgrades as well.

Many thanks,
-T

I will see if anyone on the forums knows how to get my spell checker back. I
have been pasting into Thunderbird, correcting my spelling, then pasting back
into Libre Office. :'( :'( :'(

(In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #4)
> You know where the pasted content comes from, perhaps to move it back
> without undo.

I would assume the content disappearing from that location is more than
sufficient indication where the content moved from. We dont have any particular
indication of where content moved from in writer.

> I have to admit that my arguments are dragged in by head and
> shoulders. But what is the advantage of clearing the marque?

The first advantage would be that users wouldnt have to press Escape to disable
it. Secondly the behaviour would mimic all other apps that have marque.

> Users know what
> it means, so the confusion reduces to inconsistency in the state. And I'm
> not sure that this is true.

Yes users can understand its meaning when they copy and cut, primarily when
they cut as the contents arent actually being cut out of the sheet until you
paste, unlike other apps where when you cut the contents do disappear. But once
you've pasted, especially when you cut, it has very little meaning and users
seeing the marque would assume that the action isn't completed.

(In reply to Cor Nouws from comment #5)
> Talking about 'head and shoulders': this behaviour is here since 2011 or so.
> And can hardly be missed. So if it is nasty, people would have complained.
> Or did I miss that?

Well as a new user to Calc in 2014/2015 when i worked on the user stats, it was
a major annoyance to me that i never reported and stuck with pressing Esc each
time. Came to mind again today when someone else brought it up.

But what is the advantage of clearing the marque? Users know what it means, so
the confusion reduces to inconsistency in the state. And I'm not sure that this

Not so useful after you paste the first time and when you paste at a location
that isnt near the original copy. It isnt useful at all when you cut and paste.

I'm drawing some icons for LO Mint theme. The last were display layouts. They
look sharp in popup menu, but blurry as panel icons. Especially with small

Hi JC,

Thanks for reporting the issue.

It does sort for me in 5.2.0 alpha1 and in 5.1.3.1:
Build ID: 115e0e13d3c8ac1452186ad2394abce2dd5c2b57
CPU Threads: 2; Versie besturingssysteem:Linux 4.4; UI Render: standaard;
Locale: nl-NL (nl_NL.UTF-8)

So apparently a fix has been applied, but not yet in 5.1.2.2..

Could you check in one of the versions I mentioned?

thanks,

Bug ID: 99488
Summary: FILESAVE: Protected Cells are not protected when
saving to MS Word 2003 (DOC) or MS Word 2007/2010
(DOCX) format
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.1.2.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: tomd...@comcast.net

When I save a document with a table that contains some protected cells in MS
Word 2003 (DOC) or MS Word 2007/2010 (DOCX) format, the protected cells are not
protected when the document is loaded in MS Word.

Expected result: Cells protected in Writer should remain protected when the
document is saved in MS Word 2003 (DOC) and MS Word 2007/2010 (DOCX) formats.

Actual result: Cells protected in Writer lose the protected "state" when the
document is saved in MS Word 2003 (DOC) or MS Word 2007/2010 (DOCX) formats.

I created a table with some empty/blank columns to be used as "spacers". To
make sure the "spacer" columns contain no data, I mark them as being protected.
This is being lost when I save the document in MS Word 2003 (DOC) or MS Word
2007/2010 (DOCX) formats.

I'll attach sample documents for troubleshooting purposes. Both LibreOffice
Writer and MS Word 2007 are running on the same Windows XP SP3 system.

Thanks!

Sample ODT document with some dollar amounts filled in two cells

This sample document has some dollar amounts entered in two cells with currency
formatting setup. If I save this document in MS Word (DOC) or (DOCX) format,
the existing amounts are formatted properly, when the document is loaded in MS
Word, but if I add new amounts in another row, the new amounts aren't properly
formatted.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 99487] New: FILESAVE: Currency number format lost when saving in MS Word formats (DOC and DOCX)

2016-04-24 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99487

Bug ID: 99487
Summary: FILESAVE: Currency number format lost when saving in
MS Word formats (DOC and DOCX)
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.1.2.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: tomd...@comcast.net

I'm creating an invoice document for a friend and when I save the document in
either MS Word 2003 (DOC) or MS Word 2007/2010 (DOCX) format, the currency
number formatting in some cells is lost. As a result, when I load the document
in MS Word and enter a dollar amount as an integer, the number isn't
automatically formatted into a dollar amount.

Expected result: numbers entered in cells with Currency formatting should be
automatically formatted in the proper currency format in MS Word.

Actual result: numbers entered in cells with Currency formatting are not
automatically formatted in the proper currency format in MS Word.

Note: If I save the document in DOC or DOCX format with a number in a cell
with Currency formatting, the number is preserved in MS Word, formatted in the
proper currency format. However, if I enter another number in another cell
with Currency formatting, the new number is _not_ formatted properly.

Everything works as desired in LibreOffice writer. I'll attach sample test
files for troubleshooting purposes. Both LibreOffice Writer and MS Word 2007
are running on the same Windows XP SP3 system.

Thanks!

Ok, I just tried my test case in LibreOffice Impress 5.1.2 on Windows XP SP3.
The slide does advance with a transition effect but it's not as smooth as in MS
PowerPoint 2007. In Impress, the transition goes from top to bottom and in
PowerPoint, the transition "wipes" from bottom to top.

Let me know if you need more information.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 96648] Excel to Libre Calc Currency Formatting Changes

2016-04-24 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96648

Updated to Libre Office 5.1.2.2. It did not make any difference. The steps
that I go through.

Computer 1, Windows 7, MS Office 2003 or
Computer 2, MacBook Air, Os X, MS Office or
Computer 3, Excel On-line

Create an Excel spreadsheet
Highlight column and click the toolbar format button for currency.
Enter Data.
Close the spreadsheet.

Open the spreadsheet on my computer, Windows 10, Libre Office 5.1.2.2 (the same
issue occurred running Windows 7).

The problem is as described in the previous examples.

I see the Print Screen from 5.1.2 submitted by raal. My screen look did not
change after upgrading to 5.1.2.2 this morning. However if I highlight column
D and change the formatting by clicking on the default "$" in the tool bar and
get the formatting correct in Libre Office. I can move that same spreadsheet
back to Excel, re-save it by giving it a new name (Sample Excel
Spreadsheet-2.xls) close it and reopen on my computer the formatting stays
correct. I have looked at the default settings on my computer, they are:
[$$-409]#,##0.00;[RED]-[$$-409]#,##0.00. So it is the initial opening of a
spreadsheet in Libre Office that was created in Excel (only on my computer ??)

This problem is not such a big issue as long as there are a few columns that
can be changes all at once, but it is a bigger issue when the format has to be
changed in a number of non-adjacent cells.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 99486] New: The file search functions are not functioning properly when searching for words contenting in LibreOffice Documents

2016-04-24 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99486

Bug ID: 99486
Summary: The file search functions are not functioning properly
when searching for words contenting in LibreOffice
Documents
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: Other
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: askpa...@gmail.com

Dear Sir / Madam,

I am a user of Libre Office on my Macbook Pro, and I notice that there are a
few functions which are not operating properly on the latest Mac PC operating
system when using Libre Office; and I'd be grateful if the team at Libre Office
can assist in resolving these technical issues that I have listed below:

A) When using the latest Mac PC OS file search function in 'All My Files' to
search for Libre Office Documents.docx contenting search words that exist in
documents, I notice that the systems are unable to detect documents contenting
search words; if words in Libre Office Documents have punctuation marks next to
the words.

B) Additionally, the file search function in Mac PC OS for locating Libre
Office Documents.docx are case sensitive.

C) At times, the file search function is unable to find Libre Office Documents
even though the search words matches exactly in the Libre Office File Documents

D) The file search function also unable to detect the word or words contenting
in Libre Office Documents when a word or words are: highlighted, in another
text colour, text font, font size or in other formats

C) Furthermore, these technical issues as stated above also occur when using
the file search function in the desktop document folders on Mac PC OS.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Best regards,

C. Chow

I can not find duplicate, seems resonable to me.

Confirmed.

I guess we should be so bold to make the decision to capture the Excel
association to Calc.. but I think it should happen on the fly and not altering
the modified file as otherwise you would be breaking the files for the people
who sent them to you!

This is more of a feature request than a bug, though.

Adding needAdvice so devs might review the feasibility of the idea.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 99484] New: [Feature Request] Start Center: Details view, pinned items

2016-04-24 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99484

Bug ID: 99484
Summary: [Feature Request] Start Center: Details view, pinned
items
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.1.1.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: UI
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: pbpub...@gmail.com

I like the idea of the Start Center, where one has access to all LO modules and
recent documents. But I find the current mandatory thumbnail layout wastes
space and is unwieldy.

I would like to see the option of a Details view, where one would see the file
name, size and path in one line. It would look much like a standard file
manager.

I would also like to have the ability to Pin important files at the top, for
quick access regardless of when they were last opened.

As a luxury, a popup showing the thumbnail upon hovering could be considered.

Thanks.
