[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 100839] Tables in forms - cannot enter new values

2016-07-10 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=100839

SOLUTION!

It appears MariaDB can not handle importing .sql files with both tables and
views.
Dump (from the ORIGINAL DB) tables to one .sql file, and views to another.
Import them separately, Tables first.
If you don't, your data will be there, but none of the constraints or keys.
Without those, the data can be viewed, but not modified (Read-Only).

It took a fair amount of fiddling to figure this out, so I'm reporting it here,
even though it turned out not to be a LO issue after all.

Fortunately, i still had access to the original DB. It would probably be
possible to weed out the offending views with kate/gedit, and transfer them
into their own .sql file, but it might be more effort than was pretty, so I
wouldn't try it unless you've already destroyed the original DB. Even then,
use a COPY.

This is also the solution for #100840.

MM:

Thanks,

I looked in Tools -> Options -> LibreOffice -> Paths and found a number of
files, not all in the same directory.
However, most of them were in a directory ending ... LibreOffice\4\user but
there was nothing in there called a "Profile".
Anyway, I renamed that directory, and opened my file again, but this time it
was "Read Only", despite not being marked that way under "Properties".
I tried "Save As" to save a copy, but I got "Error in writing sub-document
content.xml",something I've seen before. :(

 Thanks.

I think I tried 5.1.4 first; then as that never worked, tried the latest
(5.2.0).

I don't recall the version on the other computer, because that one stopped
working and we recycled it.

I have tried saving part of the document, and this fails when I save only a few
pages. Also, the point at which it fails varies, apparently
non-deterministically.

- The bad value of month is because the structure "tm" counts month (tm_month)
from 0 to 11 ( see http://www.cplusplus.com/reference/ctime/tm/ ), but we
expect it to be from 1 to 12 I suppose.
So a +1 in ResultSet.cxx:retrieveValue will solve it.

- I couldn't figure out yet where the bonus day come from.

How can I test it using embedded HSQLDB? I tried
"select current_timestamp from tablename", where tablename is a random table.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 100841] New: Dragging a cell's frame to Fill Series, etc - no longer shows a tooltip indicating currently reached value

2016-07-10 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 100841
Summary: Dragging a cell's frame to Fill Series, etc - no
longer shows a tooltip indicating currently reached
value
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.1.4.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org

Created attachment 126152

screencast showing dragging to fill series and absence of expected tooltip

Version: 5.1.4.2
Build ID: 1:5.1.4~rc2-2
CPU Threads: 8; OS Version: Linux 4.6; UI Render: default;
Locale: en-US (en_GB.UTF-8)

LO as of Debian unstable. My stable box shows the tooltip just fine, as does MS
XL, but the new LO has lost it.

PROCEDURE
* Open a new Calc document
* Type a numeric 0 into a cell
* Select the cell
* Left-click and hold on the square handle at the cell's bottom right
* Drag downwards

EXPECTED RESULT
* Like the old version and XL, a tooltip would be shown next to the handle,
indicating what will be filled in the currently dragged-to cell, if you were to
release the drag

ACTUAL RESULT
* No tooltip is shown anymore.
* See attached screencast.

Please can we have the tooltip back? :-)

Within a LO Base form, listboxes can no longer be used. They still display,
and the data previously entered displays, but they are greyed out and cannot be
modified.

This behaviour exists in several distros, possibly those with more recent
versions of dependencies. I have observed it in Manjaro, Fedora, and Mint.

In a table in a base form, it is no longer possible to enter a new record.

I first noticed this in Manjaro, but it has since shown up in Fedora, and now
Mint. With it being across several distros, all differently based, it is
definitely a LO bug, and not specific to a single distro or line.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 100838] New: Photo / image transparency lost in PDF export - regression from 5.1.4.2

2016-07-10 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=100838

Bug ID: 100838
Summary: Photo / image transparency lost in PDF export -
regression from 5.1.4.2
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.2.0.1 rc
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: regression
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Printing and PDF export
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: sean.car...@gmail.com

During the PDF export of a document containing an image (photo) which has a
transparency percentage value (set using the image toolbar) the transparency is
lost.

The transparency is maintained in the PDF export in earlier versions, such as
LibreOffice_5.1.4.2_Linux_x86-64 but it no longer works in
LibreOffice_5.2.0.1_Linux_x86-64 nor LibreOffice_5.2.0.2_Linux_x86-64 - thus
this a regression.

This is a particular problem if dark text was placed over the image, the text
is no longer readable.

Tested using a clean libreoffice configuration. Occurs in both Writer and
Impress to PDF export.

I flagged the priority to high due to the regression nature of the bug not
because I imagine many users are impacted.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 100834] New: Fraction number format: String " " and other not recognized as blank delimiter

2016-07-10 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 100834
Summary: Fraction number format: String " " and other not
recognized as blank delimiter
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: Inherited From OOo
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: jumbo4...@yahoo.fr

Created attachment 126148
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=126148=edit
Example of fraction representation in Excel

Desciption: When Excel is using " " as blank separator between integer and
fraction, LibO does not recognize strings as separator and treats them in a
very strange manner: string is inserted inside the number representation.

Steps to reproduce:
1. In Excel (French UI), choose a fraction format or define a user format such
as:
#" plus fraction "?/???
2. Enter a value: PI() for instance. Value is displayed as:
   3 plus fraction 16/113
4. Save as XLSX
5. Open file in LibreOffice (See attached file)

Actual behavior:
Cell is displayed as
   35 plus fraction 5/113
because LibreOffice interprets format as ##?/??? (which should be 355/113) with
string " plus fraction " inserted between 35 and 5

Expected behavior:
LibreOffice should display as in Excel:
3 plus fraction 16/113

In my Excel 2010, French localization, for default display of fraction, Excel
inserts the blank between integer and fraction as " " and not as \_ (escape
char followed by a space), which is the way that LibreOffice expects Excel
would do. For instance, for PI() value and format
#" "?/?
LibreOffice displays
2 2/7
Which seems wrong when compared to expected display
3 1/7

Summary|Ability to Set Both Scale |FILEOPEN: X and Y Position
   |and Position of Bitmap in |Offset Not Working with
   |Filled Shapes |Bitmap Filled Shapes

--- Comment #4 from Yousuf (Jay) Philips ---
The current X and Y offset fields under the position section only work for
tiling, so firstly that would need to be fixed to work in non-tiling mode.

Then the offset fields would also need to accept negative values.
"-500" would need to be added to adjustment2
ID in http://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/cui/uiconfig/ui/areatabpage.ui

With these two things fixed, it would provide the Left and Top offsets found in
MSO, while the Right and Bottom are already controlled with the Width and
Height fields found under the size section.

So if we take attachment 119735 as an example, the bitmap had Left 17%, Right
20%, Top 18% and Bottom -5%. So when loading the document, instead of LO
incorrectly setting both autofit and original, it should have set the Width to
63% and the Height to 85%. Also there is a bug in the Width and Height fields
presently, as it dont allow a value above 100% when relative is checked, so
that would also need to be corrected.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 100828] New: Calc crashes after a single edit

2016-07-10 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=100828

Bug ID: 100828
Summary: Calc crashes after a single edit
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.1.4.2 release
  Hardware: x86 (IA32)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: owlbrud...@gmail.com

I have just run an update on my Fedora 24 system which updated my Libre Office
installation to 5.1.4.2 10(Build:2). Now, if I click on a cell and drag
downwards to auto-fill the cells with the formula in the first, everything
seems fine, but as soon as I click in another cell the program hangs and
eventually crashes. I have tried saving the file as a new file, but the new one
has the same problem. I have tried 'Copy' to move the sheet into a new
document, but the new one has the same problem.

I have tried multiple edits in Writer and that seems to be functioning fine -
the issue appears to be with Calc only.
