https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106932 Bug ID: 106932 Summary: Impossible to select all entire table rows when vertical Merges are present Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.3.2.1 rc Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: jim.av...@gmail.com Created attachment 132315 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=132315=edit SelectBug.odt (see "Steps to Reproduce") In a Writer table: It is (seemingly) impossible to select all cells in a set of contiguous rows if they contain more than one vertically-merged pair of cells. I don't know exactly what conditions make some cells un-selectable (in combination with others), but the attached demo document shows an example. STEPS TO REPRODUCE: 1. Load the attached SelectBug.odt 2. Try to select the bottom two rows of the table, including the vertically-spanned cells (everything except the header row). 3. (In real life, the next step would be to copy the selected rows and paste them many times to create new tables. But you can't get this far.) RESULTS: Impossible to select all cells in the bottom two rows of the table. If you select a vertically-spanned cell on either end and try to sweep horizontally with the mouse to pick up others, then some previously-selected cells un-select themselves. The widespread convention of Control-click to add/subtract from a selection set does not work either (I don't think LO intended to follow this convention, but probably it should for consistency with Microsoft Windows [though I hate to say it]) EXPECTED RESULTS: There should be a way to select any contiguous set of cells, or at least all cells in a contiguous set of rows. If feasible, the "Control-Click to add/subtract from selection" paradigm would help users who are familiar with selection methods in other software. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106926 Regina Henschelchanged: What|Removed |Added CC||rb.hensc...@t-online.de --- Comment #1 from Regina Henschel --- Padding and borders are independent properties. Therefore it is correct, that a padding is applied without having a border. In the upcoming version 5.4. this will be reflected in the UI and all padding fields will be enabled, independent of the borders. In the meantime, with older versions, you should first enable temporarily all borders, set the paddings you need, and last enable only the border you want. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106928 Bug ID: 106928 Summary: Parameters specified to accept sequences may accept cuboids. Non-linear evaluation allowed would add useful power. Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: j...@psilosoph.de There are only a few functions in Calc accepting cuboids on one or more parameter places. None of them is specified to do so explicitly in OpenFormula v1.2 , but there is a general specification about the conversion of cuboids to some kind of series accepted by a function. This conversion may be done by the body of the respective function itself or, in advance of passing something to the function, by the general part of the evaluator. (At least) if done the second way it should be feasible without too much complications to enrich the procedure by preposing a non-scalar evaluation where applicable in a similar way as it is done for 2D-arrays under forced or intrinsic array-evaluation as described in OpenFormula, paragraph 3.3. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=71098 --- Comment #10 from sm8ps--- I do not have access to a newer version than LO 5.1.6. The sample document that you have uploaded does also work well without inserting page breaks. However, with some fiddling around on my own, I could create master documents with unwanted page breaks automatically inserted between sub-documents. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97631 --- Comment #6 from Carlos--- Perhaps Mateusz meant that in office:time-value="PT288H00M00S" the 288 is incorrect. Let's consult the specs. "The office:time-value attribute has the data type duration" http://docs.oasis-open.org/office/v1.2/os/OpenDocument-v1.2-os-part1.html#__RefHeading__1417674_253892949 "18.2W3C Schema Datatypes The following [xmlschema-2] datatypes are used in this specification: ●string ●date ●time ●dateTime ●decimal ●duration ... "http://docs.oasis-open.org/office/v1.2/os/OpenDocument-v1.2-os-part1.html#datatype-duration "3.2.6.1 Lexical representation The lexical representation for duration is the [ISO 8601] extended format PnYn MnDTnH nMnS, where nY represents the number of years, nM the number of months, nD the number of days, 'T' is the date/time separator, nH the number of hours, nM the number of minutes and nS the number of seconds. The number of seconds can include decimal digits to arbitrary precision. The values of the Year, Month, Day, Hour and Minutes components are not restricted but allow an arbitrary unsigned integer, i.e., an integer that conforms to the pattern [0-9]+.. Similarly, the value of the Seconds component allows an arbitrary unsigned decimal. Following [ISO 8601], at least one digit must follow the decimal point if it appears. That is, the value of the Seconds component must conform to the pattern [0-9]+(\.[0-9]+)?. Thus, the lexical representation of duration does not follow the alternative format of § 5.5.3.2.1 of [ISO 8601]. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 84565] Remember "keep ratio" checkbox and Save value in ODF file
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=84565 Regina Henschelchanged: What|Removed |Added CC||rb.hensc...@t-online.de --- Comment #10 from Regina Henschel --- There are two features mixed up. The checkbox in the dialog is not related to the property of the picture, but it is a property of the dialog. It says, that the width and height field of the dialog are depend on each other. Of cause, it would be useful if the dialog keeps the setting. To extend the properties of an image to a feature "keep ratio on resize" is different from such a checkbox. But such property cannot be a property of the image itself, because images may be linked and because the image formats are not under control of ODF or LibreOffice. Only the element, which contains the image can have such property. There exist already a similar feature for the "Image Control", where you can set the scale to "No", "Keep ratio" or "Fit to size". I would not mix these two things and split the request. Making the checkbox setting persistent can be done immediately and perhaps should get an own bug. (Use case if user edits the imported palette unwantedly: 1) Users fear changes, so this isn't a problem that I see. 2) If a user did a change, it can be undone by re-importing the extension palette easily.) > > Suggestion 2: > > It should be possible to pick the custom color palette file and imported > > color palette files within a file manager in the user profile to copy, to > > edit it by hand or to rename it. > > Don't get it, and it sounds strange. What I meant is if the custom palette were saved as a separate .soc file in the user's profile, you could take the imported extension palette .soc file from user\uno_packages\cache\uno_packages\lu123 and you could copy that file to the place where the custom palette would be saved. Then you could rename both so that the new .soc file (and not the original custom palette .soc file) is handled like the custom palette in LibreOffice. But as you said, the custom palette is now part of the registrymodifications.xcu (and no separate .soc file anymore) which makes it extraordinarily difficult to handle this use case. > There is no use case to make palette handling as easy as possible, and when > we add more options here it's feature-creep. Even the (IMHO more obvious) > solution #3, to define at the palette itself whether it is read-only or not, > makes no sense as it adds complexity (it's not the checkbox, or the like, > that is complex but all reasoning behind we do in this and other tickets > that average users are not aware of). People who want to go into detail > should rather hack the file. I explained the use case above and in the initial bug comment. I don't want any new options. The user should have nothing to do. It should just be possible to edit imported palettes like custom palettes. Maybe if it's not wanted then a flag in the Expert Configuration could be set. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 94223] UI: Show selection box for text box when it is selected
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=94223 Gospodin Baronchanged: What|Removed |Added Status|RESOLVED|REOPENED Resolution|INSUFFICIENTDATA|--- --- Comment #5 from Gospodin Baron --- I see the same problem what other people have discovered. "How have you made it so it is invisible? Maybe we will find out, if you attach a file with the problem?" It doesn't make ANY sense to ask for any file. The problem is in program not in the file. As simple as fact any empty file has it. I see the bug under Linux with Openoffice 4.1.3 or any new version of Libreoffice. If I type inside of text box the box borders remain invisible. To be able to select it one need to click slightly above the text, but then I can only see cyan rectangles. That is very inconvenient. Previous versions (3.X) of OpenOffice were working fine. Not it's not. Openoffice as well as Libreoffice are way too bugy. To find a bug one need sometimes less than 5 min. Why nobody test them? Well Openoffice is slightly better. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
