Libre Office 5.4.3.2 installed from the official RPMS on CentOS 7.3.

I confirm Johan Brink's observation on 2016-10-14 that there are now _two_
Highlight Color options, neither of which work, and neither does Highlight Fill
work.

Like him, I review documents and must highlight often.

Example file made with Excel 2013, containing a Pie-Pie chart

If we create a simple Pie-Pie Chart in Microsoft Excel 2013/2016 the
LibreOffice will not handle that, because there is no Pie-Pie chart between the
diagram types. The Pie-Pie Chart will become a simple Pie chart in LibreOffice.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a new spreadsheet in Excel 2013/2016.
2. Create a simple Pie-Pie Chart.
3. Save the spreadsheet in xlsx.
4. Open the file in LibreOffice Calc.

Actual results:
The chart type isn't a Pie-Pie anymore, but a simple Pie Chart.

Expected results:
There should be a Pie-Pie Chart between the diagram types.

But it should be. The confusion results also from the mixture of readonly and
design on/off. If the RO mode is required to not edit the captions, we could do
this internally but make edit on/off more consistently.

Other than that I agree with you that we can expect a form designer to know how
the finalization has to be done. So no auto switch from design into edit mode
on save makes sense.

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 114274] New: Scatter plot with all X values set to NA switch to line plot

2017-12-06 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=114274

Bug ID: 114274
Summary: Scatter plot with all X values set to NA switch to
line plot
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.4.3.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: killer...@gmail.com

Description:
I have sheet with a column than can change to #N/A to remove lines from certain
plots.

In an scatter plot if that column is the Y values the line disappears as
expected, but if it is the X values, the plot change to a line plot (like the X
coordinates are 1, 2, 3...)
Notice that if the X values are empty this is not happening.

In Excel 2010 and newer this behavior is not happening: In a scatter plot a
line with all the X values set to #N/A is not plotted.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a scatter plot with the Y set to valid values.
2. Set all the X to NA()

Actual Results:
The line is then plotted as the X values are 1, 2, 3...

Expected Results:
The line is not plotted

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:
The expected result is the Excel behaviour.

Version: 5.4.3.2 (x64)

Depends on your DE but quick start works as well on Linux (with a questionable
functionality); enable it via Tools > Options > General

> Right now I have to open Libreoffice6. It opens up writer instead of the
> start-screen...
Not when you just start LibreOffice (not Writer) - but again depending on how
the distribution handles it.

Nevertheless, your point will be taken into account.

You could start at sc/uiconfig/scalc/ui/textimportcsv.ui and
sc/source/ui/dbgui/scuiasciiopt.cxx but I have no idea where the actual import
is done. Maybe you find a good keyword for use at

the quickstart tray on Linux this missing feature costs me a lot of time.

Right now I have to open Libreoffice6. It opens up writer instead of the
start-screen as I normally have a lot of open documents a any given time.
In writer I cannot drag-n-drop a calc file to open. So I am forced to click on
open, and navigate to the file by hand.

This costs quite a lot of time multiplied by times one opens a document.

Please fix this, it seems like low-hanging fruit, not that hard to implement
and could, at least in part, make up for the missing quickstart on Linux.

okay, my mistake in trying to reproduce it was that i disabled Java in
Tools->Options, but you need it enabled and not have any Java found
on the system.

so i had to disable functions jfw_findAllJREs and jfw_findAndSelectJRE
so we don't find anything.

this should be fixed on master now.

--- Comment #22 from Raymond Wu Won ---
> I don't have a wireless mouse neither.

In Comment 14, I said that I get the same problem with a USB mouse - by that, I
meant a wired USB mouse (Zowie EC1-A to be precise; it's a mouse that requires
no drivers). Trackpad, wired and wireless mouse makes no difference.
