And I must say that scan should not have been possible from LibreOffice x64 on Windows. Unless you have: 1. 64-bit TWAINDSM.dll installed by some third party sowtware on your system; 2. True 64-bit TWAIN driver (possibly in form of special software that makes 32-to-64-bit translation, like VueScan). Could you please describe if you have some of those, or maybe something other that I don't know about? That would be interesting to allow other 64-bit users to use their scanners, because scan is currently one of those few areas that have worse support in 64-bit LO than in 32-bit one. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 52926] Format changes from "#10 Envelope" to "User" with different height, margin-top, and offset (Canon & Brother printers)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=52926 --- Comment #13 from Darrell--- The problem as described occurs for me in 5.4.4.2, Build ID: 1:5.4.4~rc2-0ubuntu0.16.04.1~lo1. It is not restricted to Canon and Brother printers; it occurs for me with an HP LaserJet Pro 200 Color, using a print queue configured for #10 envelopes. Specifically, in the Envelope dialog Format:Size:Format is set to #10 Envelope with Width 9.5" and Height 4.13" and Printer:Current Printer is a print queue with media type #10 Envelope. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 114508] Confusing dialog about discarding recovery data can lead to data loss

I think that shouldn't be discussed here. YES and NO. The matter isn't well-thought-out, in my opinion. It started with a confusing dialog (I agree). The solution is a new design, changing the recovery behaviour. I'm not totally convinced about that. Do we really want to select individual files? I'm missing a proper argument for such change. What do we want to achieve? What does the user want? Normally I would expect full recovery of all my open documents (if everything works as expect). I only want to select individual documents under exceptional cases: * Not interested in all the files. * A crashing file is included in the recovery dialog Most problematic is a failing recovery, which makes LibreOffice crash again. This needs a more robust implementation (in my opinion). A main cause of a crash loop is - in my experience; (I'm I wrong here?) - the immediate file opening of all the recovered files after recovery. That why a proposed a change into the recovery proces itself. Between recovery and file opening. There needs to be a way to recover most of the files safely & identify the crash culprit without going into the recovery process over and over. The possibility to open recovered files incrementally and marking the crashy culprit as bad (or something like that). That's why I ask to have the to 'save' the recovery files before opening. It's the way how I would handle it manually. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

That can be dialog (which closes on alt+f4) but also in case of floating widgets like add table or set colors at the standard toolbar and also when a dropdown is expanded (and in those cases nothing happens). You have to press escape or click somewhere to get back into the normal flow. That's a WFM as it also happens in other programs (just open the main menu in any app and press alt+f4). And what's to do is perfectly clear for users. However I can crash the program with alt+f4 when the focus is at the sidebar in the font name dropdown (not when it is open). The first is to modify the style 'emphasis' in order to make the selection semibold. That works out of the box, just modify the style. => WORKSFORME The other aspect here is that non-discrete properties are not well implemented. We have bug 66792 and bug 35538, for example, dealing with listing issues when a font has various styles (=> DUP). And it becomes worse when variable fonts [1] get into the mainstream providing a dynamic scale from regular and bold (and potentially all other typeface properties). I think as long this is not required we shouldn't change the known behavior of on/off bold and italic. That also means we don't make it customizable what weight option of the font is used for bold. Therefore => WONTFIX.
