[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115220] New: Can't edit / move / delete / direction change glue points any more in DRAW

2018-01-24 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115220

Bug ID: 115220
Summary: Can't edit / move / delete / direction change glue
points any more in DRAW
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.4.3.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Draw
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: thomas.zw...@tz-software.de

Description:
Additional glue points previously set in a drawing can't be later moved,
deleted, edited in the direction etc. New glue points are only visible if glue
point switch is turned off and on again, or not at all.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. create a new empty draw document and place a rectangle in it
2. Switch on "show glue points function" and select "insert glue point"
3. Select the rectangle and place a new glue point on it.
4. The glue point is invisible -> bug 1
5. Turn the "show glue points function" off and on again to make it visible.
6. Try any modification of that glue point. It will not work -> bug 2

Actual Results:
Newly inserted glue points are not immediately visible and can't be moved,
deleted or changed in their direction.

Expected Results:
All previous versions < 5.4 allow modification of inserted glue points and show
them immediately after insertion.

Reproducible: Always

With .xlsx I am still having many problems.
Saving all the files as .xls and they seem to be working OK.

It is interesting that it is better in 5.4.4. However, the enhancement of bug
98931 is only in master for now, so you should install a daily build to test
it: http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/Win-x86_64@42/current/

Follow the steps of bug 115103 (repeated below):

- Open the attached DOC or DOCX (eg. attachment 139208), and run Tools -> Mail
Merge Wizard...
- Skip to step 3, and add the attached XLS (attachment 139209) as address list.
- Do not specify an address block or salutation, just finish the merge.

Extra step:
- Now open the XLS at the same time.

=> The Calc window appears grey (see screenshot).
Calc window appears fine after closing and reopening the spreadsheet.
Apparently the spreadsheet opens in read-only mode the first time, not sure if
that's relevant, read-only files look just fine when opened otherwise.

Observed using LO 6.1 daily build (eb8c84846bdba32c17b23e7da6742463085bec9d) /
Windows 7.
Bug doesn't occur with LO 6.0.0.2.
=> regression

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115217] New: Zoom, Keyboard Shortcut Issue

2018-01-24 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115217

Bug ID: 115217
   Summary: Zoom, Keyboard Shortcut Issue
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.3.7.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: darren...@gmail.com

Description:
Think this is a 'bug'

At least it does not do what the user would expect:

LibreOffice Writer
Tools >
Customize >
Keyboard >
Category: View >

Set keys & Modify to:::

Zoom In = Ctrl++
Zoom Out = Ctrl--

Once modified in Keys, click OK

Nothing happens when using these keyboard shortcuts.

If you need anything else, just let me know.

Thanks ;-)

(..."Confirm that it really is a bug. Most of the time, a bug is something that
makes the software behave in a way that a reasonable user would not want it to
behave. This includes the software not doing what you want it to do")

Steps to Reproduce:
LibreOffice Writer
Tools >
Customize >
Keyboard >
Category: View >

Set keys & Modify to:::

Zoom In = Ctrl++
Zoom Out = Ctrl--

Once modified in Keys, click OK

Nothing happens when using these keyboard shortcuts.

Actual Results:
Nothing happens when using keyboard shortcuts

Expected Results:
Zoom in, and out (common keys Ctrl++, Ctrl-- work on lots of programs /
applications - LO Writer being one of the few that doesn't)

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Not such an issue on a desktop (where a user would more often have a mouse with
a scroll-wheel and can probably use Ctrl + scroll.

But on a laptop with a touchpad - not so convenient.

And, just not what I 'expect' after actually setting those in keyboard
shortcuts etc.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 104901] Image object cumulative placement error affecting display/ print & cell anchor behavior with irregular row height

2018-01-24 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=104901

Created attachment 139351
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=139351=edit
2018-01 bug 104901 Object placement jitter re-test

Re-test with:
Version: 5.4.4.2 (x64)
Build ID: 2524958677847fb3bb44820e40380acbe820f960
CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 6.19; UI render: default;
Locale: en-US (en_US); Calc: group
Windows 10 x64 v1709

PNG attachment combining two screenshots shows that:

A) In spreadsheet edit mode view (top of PNG) object vertical display placement
jitter appears corrected up through at least row 400. This was the original
complaint.

B) Print preview view (bottom of PNG) of row 400 continues to show vertical
mis-placement. Same result for multiple "printers" (LO Export to PDF, Print to
PDF, Print to XPS, print to paper). This was *not* part of the original
complaint as there was little apparent distinction at the time.

Actual LO Export To PDF and various print to PDF output documents show
substantially the mis-placement the LO Print Preview shows for row 400.

So, progress has been achieved but in the course of that a new facet has become

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115214] New: FILESAVE XLSX Function Syntax Error (#Name?), with a reference to an external xlsx file.

2018-01-24 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115214

Bug ID: 115214
Summary: FILESAVE XLSX Function Syntax Error (#Name?), with a
reference to an external xlsx file.
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.4.3.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: filter:xlsx
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: kelem...@ubuntu.com

Created attachment 139345
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=139345=edit
Example data source file made with LO 5.4

These spreadsheets was created with LibreOffice 5.4.3.2 and LibreOffice Dev.
6.0. The main problem here is the functions which did not work correctly if we
want to refer to an external file. We got an Error (#NAME?) message in the
cell, if we use the Excel A1 Formula Syntax. Although we set the syntax to
“Excel A1”, the function syntax does not look like the “Excel A1” syntax.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a new spreadsheet with LibreOffice Calc 5.4
2. Click on Tools then choose the options.
3. In the Option set the LibreOffice Calc Formula options just like as you can
see at the attached Formula_syntax_setting.PNG file.
4. Fill the A1:A3 cells with some number.
5. Save the file as “Function_Error_Source.xlsx” or something like that.
6. Create a new spreadsheet with LibreOffice 5.4 and save as
“Function_Error_Target.xlsx”.
7. In the “Function_Error_Target.xlsx” file click on the A1 cell and then click
on the “Function wizard” and choose a function (for example “MAX”). Then select
the data in the “Function_Error_Source.xlsx” file (A1:A3 cells) and press OK.
Here is the example code with “Excel A1” syntax:
MAX('file:///c:/users/teszt_admin/desktop/function_error_source.xlsx'#$sheet1.a1:A3)

Actual results:
We got an Error (#NAME?) code as a function result. If we save the file and
reload the spreadsheet the function result will be the same (#NAME?). If we
open this file (Function_Error_Target.xlsx) with Microsoft Excel we got an
error message of course.

Expected results:
If we choose the Excel A1 syntax the function syntax should be the same as in
Microsoft Excel. There is no difference between the Excel A1 and Calc A1 syntax
when we use a function in LibreOffice. But if we use the Calc A1 syntax for a
function we have not got a (#NAME?) result.

2018-01-24 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115213

Bug ID: 115213
Summary: Cannot get printing out of landscape mode
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.4.3.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: ro...@mac.com

Description:
Print preview displays my 2-page writer document correctly, in portrait mode.
But when I select Print, the small page preview shows the text rotated 90°
clockwise so it will effectively print in landscape mode. Since there is no
page setup I don't know what to do. In the Format Page settings, I have
selected Portrait.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Edit a document
2. Make sure Page format is set to Portrait
3. Try to print it on an HP PostScript printer

Actual Results:
Text is rotated 90° CW on page so it effectively will print in Landscape mode.

Expected Results:
Document should print in Portrait mode.

Reproducible: Always

Example file from Word 2013

Attached is a simple file from Word 2013 with some titles and a TOC.

In Writer I turned on Change Tracking, then deleted the TOC entries.

While this makes no sense from document edition POV, it is possible to do and
after saving the file and reopening in Word 2013, it causes an "invalid text
node" error.

When creating an odt text with different font colors, I noticed that if I
wanted to change a certain part of my text to a recently used color this
particular color wasn't present in the recent font color menu.

this causus meto use all kinds of workarounds to get the right color.

Something odd is going on with the reasoning behind why a color is picked as
recent font color, can this be improved?

It's the same in LO 4.1 and OpenOffice. Not sure if it's a bug. At
https://help.libreoffice.org/Calc/Subtotals is written "Calculates subtotals
for the columns that you select", so you should select column in dialog?

First row is heading, that's the reason why not counted.

Argh.. I probably found the cause. The dock size slider in System Preferences

The dock size only changes between 0-40%. Setting the slider to 50% will cause
a mismatch, triggering NSApplication notifications...

--- Comment #8 from Yousuf Philips (jay) ---
Seems like an issue with the user profile having the LO internal file dialog
enabled. The enabling/disabling of the internal file dialog was removed in bug
114484, but you can still see its value in Tools ▸ Options ▸ LibreOffice ▸
Advanced ▸ Expert configuration ▸ org.openoffice.Office.Common.Misc ▸
UseSystemFileDialog.

Alex please try with a fresh user profile.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115208] New: Apparmor profile doesn't allow java execution

2018-01-24 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115208

Bug ID: 115208
Summary: Apparmor profile doesn't allow java execution
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.4.4.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: olivier.til...@canonical.com

Description:
When enforced the apparmor profiles prevent libreoffice from seeing and
executing installed JREs.

Steps to Reproduce:
With the recent apparmor profile fixes
(https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/log/sysui/desktop/apparmor/program.soffice.bin),
and the profiles in enforcement mode, run libreoffice, open Tools > Options,
then LibreOffice > Advanced, and check whether JREs are listed

Actual Results:
No JRE are listed, and attempting to manually add an installed JRE by its full
path fails.

Expected Results:
The default JRE (on my system
/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.8.0-openjdk-amd64/jre/bin/java) is found and selected by
default.

Reproducible: Always

Hi Nick; seems you read the code =) patches most welcome, prolly you would want
to read and base from something like:

commit a1ee97c222d60bbb81c597327e2b5ff89e903970
Author: Michael Meeks
Date: Tue Jan 9 14:02:02 2018 +

Add IPv6 support, and configuration option.

To reduce support pain; I'd love to have a 'simple' listen mode whereby it only
listens to the localhost - for these nginx / wrapping modes. I fear
well-meaning sysadmins tweaking random sets of settings and producing
impossible setups.

Anyhow - should be an easy first hack =) go for it !

And what're you using LOOL for ?
