https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=47977 --- Comment #11 from QA Administrators --- ** Please read this message in its entirety before responding ** To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. We can't simply add to the Auto-correct pairs because no font present in LO will support the glyph! UI for Auto-correct gets a broken "unknown glyph" in the process. Implementing for the Unidoce 1F12F - COPYLEFT codepoint from the Unicode 11.0 "Enclosed Alphanumeric Supplement" SMP would also require that the we provide the glyph. IMHO this requires an early addition to our Symbol font where we should supplement PUA mapping of ®, ©, and ™ We have PUA FOD2/F0E2 Registered and PUA F0E2/F0E3 Copyright and PUA F0D4/F0E4 Trademark, and their mapping to U+00AE, U+00A9, U+2122 which probably could be cleaned up--not sure how the Serif/Sanserif selection out of the PUA gets done when selecting the glyph to use. Or do you propose to remove the height > increasing functionality entirely, so the text would wrap horizontally when > typing, but go out of sight vertically while displaying the red triangle? > Testing sample document with current master/6.2.0, the documents sheet presents a "default" Cell Style without "Wrap text automatically" enabled. Meaning the example cell *is* under Direct Formatting to wrap its text. Modify the default style to include the wrap text automatically, and apply it (the Update Style on the content panel). Alignment/wrap within the cells is picked up from the style as opposed to the direct formatting. And, with the change to Cell Style, all other cells being entered will wrap within their Column width as set, shifting height--the desired behavior. Beyond the row height response when the Sytle to wrap text is enabled, IIUC controlling column width and row height is not done by any cell style and so any change to set "Optimal Height / Optimal Width" are Direct Formatting of the selected cells or columns/rows. So again, I don't see an issue here (other than our on going challenge of educating users (and QA members) about styles vs direct formatting)--but I could be wrong. I've no concern with taking this back through UX-Advise, but the behavior seems correct IMHO. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

I did not spend 1 hour, only edited all the formulas on the first page. No increasing of time observed. Likewise for direct formatting of the > Column width from Format or context menu. I don't get how they could be detached as automatic increasing of height is the main point of wrapping. Or do you propose to remove the height increasing functionality entirely, so the text would wrap horizontally when typing, but go out of sight vertically while displaying the red triangle? This was not discussed in a design team meeting, so I don't understand the dance with the keyword and CC. If this is decided to be notabug and the behaviour even further changed, it is such a significant change that it has to be dealt with in a meeting. There is a large body of users that considers this to be a bug since years (in AskLibO, BZ...). If this is decided to be notabug, then all the other reports need to be analysed and closed if needed (at a minimum bug 57519). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 82396] Sidebar: Incorrect behavior regarding real-time update of spinbox values
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=82396 --- Comment #17 from Jérôme Borme --- (In reply to QA Administrators from comment #16) The bug is present with 6.0.5.2. If user makes a 1 cm grouped drawing, an later wishes to resize it to 0.5 cm using the spinbox entering controls, the group drawing is *destroyed* (completely messed up). When the user enters 0.5, they press first 0, which sets all its dimensions to zero, losing their values and ratios, a situation that the drawing will not recover from when the user finishes entering 0.5. Possible solutions (to be implemented) * while the spindle keeps the focus, only update after a certain delay (e.g. 1 s) to let the user finish its entry. * make immediate update (and/or the delay mentioned above) a configurable option in the preferences. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
