** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 110745] [META] Galaxy icon theme issues

2018-08-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=110745

The Galaxy icon theme is no longer included in LibreOffice but is only
available as extension.
https://extensions.libreoffice.org/extensions/galaxy-icon-theme/1.0

Please contact the Design team, if you want to make an improvement to the
Galaxy icon theme. Keep in mind, that the Galaxy icon theme uses 26x26 pixels
icons, in contrast to all the other themes, which use 24x24 pixels icons.
Besides that, there exists no SVG-source for the icons.

I suggest a WONTFIX for all the Galaxy related issues. The icon theme can still
be improved, but outside this issue tracker.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119054] New: FILEOPEN DOCX Paragraph style in a table appears without the set spacing below

2018-08-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119054

Bug ID: 119054
Summary: FILEOPEN DOCX Paragraph style in a table appears
without the set spacing below
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: filter:docx
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: kelem...@ubuntu.com

Created attachment 143915
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=143915=edit
Example document from Word

If we insert a table in Microsoft Word and add some paragraphs into the table
with text and modify the style of the paragraph from default to Heading 2, and
set the below spacing 18 pt, LibreOffice will not consider it. Even if the
setting of the spacing is correct in the style.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a new document with Microsoft Word 2010/2013/2016
2. Insert a table with 1 cell.
3. Fill the table with some random text and empty paragraphs.
4. Select the full text and modify the style from “Normal” to “Heading 2”
5. Modify the “below paragraph” of the “Heading 2“ style from 0 pt to 18 pt.
6. Save the style and then save the document as *.docx
7. Open the file in LibreOffice Writer

Actual results:
The “below paragraph” of the “Heading 2“ style is correct but the paragraphs
appears with wrong (still 0) spacing. The same problem appears if we export the
file with LibreOffice Writer and reload it or open the exported file with
Microsoft Word.

Expected results:
The paragraph spacing style should work even if we use them in a table.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119051] New: Character padding not correctly applied with bullets

2018-08-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119051

Bug ID: 119051
Summary: Character padding not correctly applied with bullets
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.0.2 rc
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: octa...@alvarezp.org

Description:
Character padding not correctly applied with bullets

Steps to Reproduce:
1. New Writer document
2. Type "Hello world!" (don't press ENTER afterwards)
3. Highlight the text
4. Format » Character... » Borders » Padding » 2.00 cm for all 4 sides
5. Click on Bullets.

Actual Results:
Left border invisible and left padding unapplied.

Expected Results:
Left border visible and left padding applied.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Changing the Character Style selection for the bullets by doing this:

6. Format » Bullets and Numbering... » Customize » Character style: Numbering
Symbols

... it works! :-O

I don't see any visible difference between the style definition for Numbering
Symbols and Bullets.

It works for the following character styles: None, Numbering Symbols, Caption
Characters, Definition, Drop Caps, Footnote Characters, Page Number, Index
Link, Endnote Characters and Line Numbering.

It does not work for the following character styles: Bullets, Placeholder,
Rubies, Example, Variable, Emphasis, Internet Link, Visited Internet Link, Main
Index Entry, Footnote anchor, Endnote anchor, Quotation, Source text, Strong
Emphasis, User entry and Teletype.

It works weird for: Vertical Numbering Symbols.

Another way to make it working is by doing this:

1. New Writer document
2. Define a Character Style called "My Character Style"
3. ... » Borders » Padding » 2.00 cm for all 4 sides
4. ... » Borders » Line Arrangement » Set All Four Borders
5. Double click (apply) the "My Character Style" on the empty paragraph.
6. Type "Hello world!" (don't press ENTER afterwards)
7. Click on Bullets.
8. Right click » Bullets and Numbering... » Customize » Character style: My
Character Style.

Interestingly enough, editing "My Character Style" and inheriting it from
Bullets, like this:

9. Right click on the "My Character Style" from the Styles pane » Modify... »
Organizer » Inherit from: Bullets, OK.

... works!

Dubleclick triggers rename sheet dialog,so just use single/click should be
sufficient. But if you do single-click and system "translate" it sometimes as
double-click it can be your problem..

2018-08-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119031

I think the problem is what you suggested: Double click

I use the same steps as last time, but this time no rename sheet popup... :)

I do not intend to do that but for some reason it happens. If so, this bug
could be closed.

I experience a similar behaviour when I in win10 open pinned files and select a
file (once, not opened). Some times, i.e. quite often, it complains that the
file is already open albeit that I haven't intentionally opened it more than
once. Then I press cancel and file opens

I think these matters are related and due to some mouse config or some other
client problem. I am not sure how to resolve this - although I could maybe use
a different external mouse. I haven't set up any particular advanced mouse
accelerator - just using the default setup - I believe.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119050] New: Second Export To PDF Does Not Honor Umask

2018-08-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119050

Bug ID: 119050
Summary: Second Export To PDF Does Not Honor Umask
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.0.2 rc
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: drich...@largo.com

This is a regression that happened sometime between 6.0 and 6.1. When you
export to PDF a second time and write over the top of a previous file, the
permissions are set to 600 on Linux. When you initially create the PDF, it's
using the correct permissions (in our case 666).

Replication is super easy;

1) Open Writer, and type in a few words

2) Select File > Export As > Export as PDF

3) Create a file called sample.pdf and everything works:

drichard@desktopnxcloud:/home/largo/tmp$ ls -lad sample.pdf
-rw-rw-rw- 1 drichard drichard 7615 Aug 1 15:12 sample.pdf

4) Follow step #3 again and try and write over the same file. It will ask if
you want to replace it, select [ YES ]

The file that is created is now 600:

drichard@desktopnxcloud:/home/largo/tmp$ ls -lad sample.pdf
-rw--- 1 drichard drichard 7615 Aug 1 15:13 sample.pdf

This file cannot be opened by other users, and will be a showstopper for us.
We use this feature all the time and users share these files with one another.

I copied symbol from PDF (that created with LO 6.1.0.2) and found that it is
still unicode U+003D symbol "=". Problem is font: "=" is rendered by using
Windings font as floppy disk image! Strange...

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119048] New: Associate a character style to cross-reference fields

2018-08-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119048

Bug ID: 119048
Summary: Associate a character style to cross-reference fields
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.5.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: rgb.m...@gmail.com

Request: add to Writer's cross-reference dialogue the ability to associate a
character style to the cross-reference field.

Use case: suppose you need to generate a PDF where you want all
cross-references in a particular color, for example, green. Right now you need
to manually apply the character style each time you insert a cross-reference
field. An option to automate this would be very interesting.

2. Select sheet 3

2018-08-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Well, it should be easy to reproduce... I have installed the win64, 6.0.5.2
official release. I just reproduced it with a brand new file, created three
sheets, selected two blank cells in sheet 1, selected sheet three and was asked
to rename the sheet!

Every time I report a bug - I get this first reply. need more info. When I tell
you it has nothing to do with the search panel, it has nothing to di with it.
The other reaction, is that it is already reported.

So I appreciate better follow up when new easy and obvious bugs are produced -
even with three screen shots. I see this in all excel files i work with. And I
also believe that the same flaw happens with other scenarios when selcting e
different sheet (that is one that exist).

OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Formula Editor
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: postfach...@posteo.de

Description:
I often write documents with a lot of formulas in it. For convenience I mostly
copy existing formulas and only change the content in the equation editor.
After leaving the equation editor the formulas are correctly shown.
I save the document, export it to a pdf-file and everything is correctly shown.
But when I open my document and double-click on a changed formula the formula
jumps back in its original form. I mean it shows the content before I changed
the formula. You can try it by yourself with the attached file: "Problem.odt"
(I marked the troublesome formula). This only happens after I used extensively
copy and paste.

I have this problem on three different computers. On every computer runs a
diffrent Linux version. And I have to admitt that I have this problem at least
for one year. Sorry that I did not mentioned it earlier.

The relevant information from Adobe is here:
https://forums.adobe.com/thread/831473
https://forums.adobe.com/thread/489152

So, the algorithm used by LibreOffice could in theory allow using any
characters, but they would need to be converted to system 8-bit codepage
(different for Win and Mac) before using for encryption. Thus, a PDF encrypted
with non-ASCII characters would be ~impossible to open on any system with
different system locale. Thus, using the ASCII restriction is a good choice.

I tested that encoding the password as utf-8 makes the PDF unopenablw using
Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 2017.

The problem here remains only to make this user-visible and documented.
As the easiest solution for those who would like to implement this (as an
easyhack), I'd propose to add to the SfxPasswordDialog a (yellow?) label saying
something like "Only English letters, numbers other ASCII characters", which
were hidden by default, and were made visible in the
SfxPasswordDialog::AllowAsciiOnly().

I believe that: The gaps doesn't appear because you are appliying subtotals
from the supplied xls file and save it into ods format.
In that case. I neither get the gaps.

I try to explain a more detailed step by step:

-Open a new, clean libreoffice Calc document.

 -Insert this data:

This is one of those old, lost issues.
"making frames around a paragraph produces noticably different results to
previous versions which leads into inconsistent design of documents that either
already exist or that are created newly. In my memory, the problem did already
exist in version 3.5."
Looking now, I don't think it can be "solved" by reverting to OO 3.3 state.

There's been changes and you can submit a new bug. But please first search,
there are many unresolved border bugs.
While I thank you for submitting and the effort, I feel closing is appropriate.
There are no other bug followers.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119045] New: (ODS) Charts don't load correctly if there is an extra dot in the filename of an imported CSV file (see attached files).

2018-08-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119045

Bug ID: 119045
Summary: (ODS) Charts don't load correctly if there is an extra
dot in the filename of an imported CSV file (see
attached files).
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.3.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: hamis...@live.co.uk

Description:
This crash occurs in v6.0.3.2, but also occurred in version 5 (can't determine
which version as no longer installed).

My host OS is Mint 19 (based on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS).

I thought this issue was where the filename had an extra dot and nothing else,
but it doesn't appear to be so. I think it only occurs if you import a CSV file
with an extra dot in the filename (see attached file #1), then create a chart
with default settings (no customisations), and save to a file with the same
name but the extension ods (see attached file).

I suppose this could be a file save issue as well, but I can't diagnose any
further on my own.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the attached CSV file.
2. Create a chart with standard options (click through and hit finish).
3. Save the file as ODS with the same name, except for the file extension.
4. Attempt to open the ODS file after closing Libreoffice.

Actual Results:
This occurs both on my desktop with a modern Intel i5-4440, and my laptop with
an AMD E1-1200 APU (6 years old). In both cases, there is a massive hang with
high CPU load (up to a few minutes on the laptop) before I am informed that

"This file contains links to other files.
Should they be updated?"

If I click yes, I get the error

"The following external file could not be loaded. Data linked from this file
did not get updated.

sump:M0-2018-07-26 07:55:20.047821"

And the chart is missing.

If I click no, nothing happens and the chart is missing.

Expected Results:
The file and chart both load quickly as normal.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:
On the desktop:

Version: 6.0.3.2
Build ID: 1:6.0.3-0ubuntu1
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3;
Locale: en-GB (en_GB.UTF-8); Calc: group

I believe OpenGL (hardware acceleration?) is enabled, but the option name has
changed, so I am unsure.
