[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 120492] Scatter plots in Writer don't work
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120492 tamasfla...@gmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added Ever confirmed|1 |0 Status|NEEDINFO|UNCONFIRMED --- Comment #4 from tamasfla...@gmail.com --- Hi, thanks for getting back to me on this! > This chart is only an example. The easiest way to create a chart in Writer is > to create a table with your data, select this table and click the icon. That > gives you the chart wizard. This is interesting, I didn't know about this option. It isn't the most intuitive option, since I don't want a table, I only want a chart, but this is a good workaround. > First you need to change the X-axis format. In the Numbers tab, uncheck > "Source format", then you can change the category from Date to Number (for > example). Yes, this is true, but this doesn't fix the issue: the row number is now displayed as a number instead of a date, but it still is not possible to enter a x-value. Take a look at the column labels in my 2 screenshots: one has a "Data Labels", "X-Values", "Y-Values"x2; and the other has "Data Labels", "Y-Values"x2. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

When I highlight text that is capitalized but not bolded the Bold Icon shows green color indicating that the text is bold, however, the text is not bold. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120094 Wolfgang Jäger changed: What|Removed |Added CC||j...@psilosoph.de --- Comment #2 from Wolfgang Jäger --- Created attachment 145689 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=145689=edit The attachment announced in Comment #2 The issue was not with specific macros but with the passing of a (useless; no information) parameter when a macro was called from a click on a sensitive area in a ToolBar where it was inserted via Customize. When one of the macros was assigned to a shortcut key the issue did not show. Background: I once had a Basic Sub that I wanted to call sometimes clicking on a ControlButton, sometimes from a ToolBar icon. The body should distinguish the cases based on testing an optional pEvent parameter with the IsMissing() function. Depending on the result different ptreparing commands should be executed. This failed because the ToolBar case passed an unexpected parameter of type Integer and value 0. No usable information, workaround annoying. I attach a simple example document containing detailed information how to reproduce the issue. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120492 Jean-Baptiste Faure changed: What|Removed |Added CC||jbfa...@libreoffice.org Status|UNCONFIRMED |NEEDINFO Ever confirmed|0 |1 --- Comment #3 from Jean-Baptiste Faure --- This chart is only an example. The easiest way to create a chart in Writer is to create a table with your data, select this table and click the icon. That gives you the chart wizard. You can create a XY chart from the default chart but it is not straightforward because this default chart is not designed as XY chart. First you need to change the X-axis format. In the Numbers tab, uncheck "Source format", then you can change the category from Date to Number (for example). Then you can change the chart type to XY and you see numbers on the x-axis instead of dates. Next steps are: edit the data table, remove all data, add series, type values, etc. Does that work for you ? Status set to NEEDINFO, please set it back to UNCONFIRMED once requested informations are provided. Best regards. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 60145] FILEOPEN: UTF-8 encoding without BOM is not detected
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=60145 --- Comment #8 from Mike Kaganski --- A code pointer: SwASCIIParser::ReadChars() in sw/source/filter/ascii/parasc.cxx does the autodetection of the encoding (of a 4 KiB buffer) using SwIoSystem::IsDetectableText. The latter only checks for BOM. I suppose we should not change that, but change the following processing (in case when currentCharSet == RTL_TEXTENCODING_DONTKNOW). In that case, we should possibly try treating the file as UTF-8, with options that strictly detect invalid sequences, and in case of failure, restart with RTL_TEXTENCODING_ASCII_US (or maybe user/working locale?). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 120353] Base optional fields now seem to be mandatory
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120353 --- Comment #14 from t...@tim-passingham.co.uk --- So I, and presumably large numbers of other people, will have to check every single field, on every single form and subform because a very long-standing bug has been fixed that we didn't know about? Gulp. That's going to be a heck of a lot of work. I've many tens of forms and many tens of subforms in my 2 main applications that used to work, mainly based on database optional/mandatory settings and sometimes database default values (so a form field can be omitted but a default set from the database). Are you all quite sure that this is what is required by everyone? It's also a bit strange to me that the behaviour I saw was: 6.1.2 insisted fields be filled in due to "Error writing data to database" 6.1.3.0 of 5/10/18 then worked OK for me 6.1.3.0 of 8/10/18 and subsequent versions insist that fields that are optional in the database be filled in and still claim that there is an "Error writing data to database", not that a field on the form has 'input required', which is not the same thing at all. I have to say I'd expect the mandatory/optional status of a database field would override anything set on the form, or at least be given the option to allow this. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

When OpenGL is disabled the problem doesn't exist. The error occurs more or less randomly, i.e. e.g. at a certain zoom factor the text may be displayed correctly or not. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open the sheet document "Alte Fotoapparate_Test_klein_3.ods" (will be added) 2. Change the zoom factor (zoom in and out) and/or switch between normal window and full screen and/or set a filter an/or change it and/or select all 3. Note 2: If you create fields in a form the default-value for "Input required" is 'yes'. Many users would be irritated. They haven't used this function (because it doesen't work the right way). Now it works and the input is required on every field, because the default is set for this. With OpenSUSE 15 and LO 6.1.3.1 this bug seems to be resolved. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
