https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120597 Bug ID: 120597 Summary: Firebird: Edit: Update Create View UI to support Firebird 'WITH CHECK OPTION' for Simple (updatable) Views Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.2.0.0.alpha0+ Master Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: Base Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: drewjensen.in...@gmail.com This is RFE is for both the coding and UI update needed to fully support of another RFE https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120596 "Firebird: Editing: Add support for UI data control update of Simple (updatable) views" The Firebird rdbms supports and optional clause in a View definition,'WITH CHECK OPTION'. The option is easily added if the view is edited in the SQL view mode in the create View window, this RFE would be to add the option clause to the end of the SQL view definition generated when the Create View Designer mode is active through the use of a new UI Option. This could be a check box or context menu item, IDK. * The firebird documentation has the following information on the option: The optional WITH CHECK OPTION clause requires an updatable view to check whether new or updated data meet the condition specified in the WHERE clause of the SELECT statement. Every attempt to insert a new record or to update an existing one is checked as to whether the new or updated record would meet the WHERE criteria. (in the View definition) If they fail the check, the operation is not performed and an appropriate error message is returned. WITH CHECK OPTION can be specified only in a CREATE VIEW statement in which a WHERE clause is present to restrict the output of the main SELECT statement. An error message is returned otherwise. * >From what I see here I would expect that using the option in a view definition, added by hand, will not effect Base code at all if and after any support for updatable views is added, so the RFE should be limited to updates to LibreOffice code only for the Create View component. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 120596] New: Firebird: Editing: Add support for UI data control update of Simple (updatable) views records.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120596 Bug ID: 120596 Summary: Firebird: Editing: Add support for UI data control update of Simple (updatable) views records. Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.2.0.0.alpha0+ Master Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: Base Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: drewjensen.in...@gmail.com For Simple Views in the Firebird database support full update functionality from the engine (in both server and embedded modes), update/add/delete actions work on the referenced physical table data. A Simple View here is defined in the Firebird documentation as an updatable view: A view will be automatically updatable if all of the following conditions are met: • the SELECT statement queries only one table or one updatable view • the SELECT statement does not call any stored procedures • each base table (or base view) column not present in the view definition is covered by one of the following conditions: - it is nullable - it has a non-NULL default value - it has a trigger that supplies a permitted value • the SELECT statement contains no fields derived from subqueries or other expressions • the SELECT statement does not contain fields defined through aggregate functions, such as MIN , MAX , AVG , SUM , COUNT , LIST • the SELECT statement contains no ORDER BY or GROUP BY clause • the SELECT statement does not include the keyword DISTINCT or row-restrictive keywords such as ROWS , FIRST , SKIP Base data aware controls do not currently support this ability to update updatable views. Applying update SQL statements directly in the SQL window or in scripted API calls do work in the current builds. The enhancement request is to add support at a low enough level to support updates to an updatable view via the UI data aware controls. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120593 Mike Kaganski changed: What|Removed |Added Status|UNCONFIRMED |NEW Ever confirmed|0 |1 --- Comment #1 from Mike Kaganski --- Confirmed this: putting a tab using mouse-click on the horizontal ruler at the right margin or to its right doesn't take indent into account. It means, when cursor is in the right column, or in right table cell, etc., clicking inside the column/cell ruler area puts tab position properly (say, 8.4 cm), but clicking to the right margin puts tab stop position relative to the left column (and it jumps to 17.0 cm or something similar). Combined with compatibility TAB OVER MARGIN feature, this makes right-aligned tab stop placed far beyond the column to make the text invisible. This is similar to bug 95846, except for the "outside of the column margin" part. In Writer, create a document in landscape orientation with two columns. Save it as DOCX. Put some flush left paragraphs into the right column by either adding a column break or overflowing text from the left column. Select a right-column paragraph, and replace all tabs with a single right tab. Add text-tab-text. The text following the tab is inaccessible beyond the right margin. If the document had been saved as ODT, the right-column right tab would work as expected. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a document in landscape orientation with two columns. 2. Save it as DOCX. 3. Put some flush-left paragraphs into the right column. 4. Select a right-column paragraph, and replace all tabs with a single right tab. 5. Add text-tab-text. (Some text before and after a tab.) I'm not sure I understand the function (what's a "flag for all"?), but I can look that up, so thanks for that. This report has morphed a bit. It used to be able gtk3 maximising forms. I then tried gtk2, and no gtk at all, but never got what I need, which is to revert to the behaviou several moons ago whereby one could: 1. Edit a form 2. Resize it and save it 3. Every time the form is opened it is at the saved size Working out the size in pixels, and then recalculating for different screens, will be non-trivial for many tens of forms. Resizing using a cursor is an awful lot easier, and is what I used to do. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120353 --- Comment #19 from t...@tim-passingham.co.uk --- I have now fixed most of my forms and sub-forms (I think) and attempted to test as many variations as I can think of. This was non-trivial. I hope not too many others fall into this trap. I have also reverted to the ubuntu ppa pre-release of 6.1.3.1 which (as expected) matches the behaviour of the libreoffice version. So this can, I guess, be set to 'resolved' again. However, before someone else does that can I ask that attention is paid to the GUI messages. If a database field is optional, but is 'required' in the form, the error messages should make this clear, not state that it's an error writing to the database. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

What should happen instead is a dialog box should be displayed telling the user which field has incorrect data in it and what correct range data would look like. Steps to Reproduce: 1. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115757] LanguageTool extension maxes out CPU with a long document
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115757 Buovjaga changed: What|Removed |Added Version|6.0.1.1 release |4.3.0.4 release --- Comment #30 from Buovjaga --- (In reply to Telesto from comment #27) > Is it a regression? At the side of LanguageTool and/or LibreOffice.. Not > volunteering to bibisect :-) I don't think so. I tested on Win and even 4.3.0 keeps the CPU going. Strangely, I tried with bibisect repos, but in their builds the CPU calmed down after like max. 1 minute. I took care to install https://extensions.libreoffice.org/extensions/languagetool and that the German dict was installed and automatic spellchecking enabled. Note: in 4.3.0 one enables the auto spellcheck from toolbar. Here is the German dictionary for the convenience of future testers: https://extensions.libreoffice.org/extensions/german-de-de-frami-dictionaries I also tested LT 3.9 on Linux master and no change in behaviour. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120561 --- Comment #2 from nicolas.hueppelshaeu...@web.de --- It is not that easy. In order to get captions in the correct document language I had to switch the language of the user interface from German to English. After doing so, the 100% cpu load is back — despite of not having any umlauts in the user data. So the latter turned out be a wild (if educated) guess.
