See bug 44291, and it's proposed patch at

I have installed a newer version:

Versie: 6.1.2.1 (x64)
Build ID: 65905a128db06ba48db947242809d14d3f9a93fe
CPU-threads: 4; Besturingssysteem: Windows 10.0; UI-render: standaard;

The problem persist. Mayby i was n't clear: i mean de extende help tips.
This is what i do (but ofcourse the items are in Dutch):
I go to Tools > Options > General and i set "Extended help" on.
The i go to File > Print... and in the dialog box i go with my mouse pointer
over the textbox of the pages i want to print. Normaly i get then the syntax i
can use in a yelow box to print the pages i want. I think this problem is new
in version 6, because in version 6 the normal help opens in my browser in stead
of an application of the older versions of LO. The first helppage is now:
file:///C:/Program%20Files/LibreOffice/help/nl/text/shared/main0108.html?System=WIN=WRITER#bm_id3149178

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Something with language is brocken

[ES]
Vuelvo a molestar:

I'll bother again:
I installed LibO with the installer in English (adding it as an additional
language). Now there is no crash or attempt to access the autocorrection or
trying to change something of the language. But, the autocorrect options are
broken. As you will see, they are replaced with a square. That happens with all
the options that involve an emoji or something similar.
BUT... (because there is always a "but") continues the problem when opening a
password protected Calc file.

I can't enter in this option

[ES]
Pienso, quizá me equivoque:
¿El problema no podría ser con algo relacionado al idioma de LibreOffice?
- Autocorrección causa causa que se cierre o deje de responder.
- Intentar modificar opciones del idioma (captura de pantalla), causa que se
cierre o deje de responder.

[EN]
I think, maybe I'm wrong:
Could not the problem be with something related to the LibreOffice language?
- AutoCorrect causes cause to close or stop responding.
- Try to modify language options (screen capture), cause it to close or stop
responding.

I should have said "Insert Series" instead of "Add Series". I don't know of any
"Add series" button, and my version of libreoffice has a small bug with
flickering tooltips that made it hard to read.

I get the same results as you did in your screenshot.

I do still think this is a usability bug, although it is different from what I
initially thought was the problem. It would be nice if, upon changing the graph
to scatter mode, all data series were converted to the 2-column X-Values
Y-Values style.

I did the same test again with OpenGL enabled in the same environment and I
didn't see the issue.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 120597] New: Firebird: Edit: Update Create View UI to support Firebird 'WITH CHECK OPTION' for Simple (updatable) Views

2018-10-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120597

Bug ID: 120597
Summary: Firebird: Edit: Update Create View UI to support
Firebird 'WITH CHECK OPTION' for Simple (updatable)
Views
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: Base
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: drewjensen.in...@gmail.com

This is RFE is for both the coding and UI update needed to fully support of
another RFE https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120596
"Firebird: Editing: Add support for UI data control update of Simple
(updatable) views"

The Firebird rdbms supports and optional clause in a View definition,'WITH
CHECK OPTION'. The option is easily added if the view is edited in the SQL view
mode in the create View window, this RFE would be to add the option clause to
the end of the SQL view definition generated when the Create View Designer mode
is active through the use of a new UI Option.

This could be a check box or context menu item, IDK.
*
The firebird documentation has the following information on the option:
The optional WITH CHECK OPTION clause requires an updatable view to check
whether new or updated data meet the condition specified in the WHERE clause of
the SELECT statement. Every attempt to insert a new record or to update an
existing one is checked as to whether the new or updated record would meet the
WHERE criteria. (in the View definition)

If they fail the check, the operation is not performed and an appropriate error
message is returned.

WITH CHECK OPTION can be specified only in a CREATE VIEW statement in which a
WHERE clause is present to restrict the output of the main SELECT statement. An
error message is returned otherwise.
*

>From what I see here I would expect that using the option in a view definition,
added by hand, will not effect Base code at all if and after any support for
updatable views is added, so the RFE should be limited to updates to
LibreOffice code only for the Create View component.

2018-10-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120596

Bug ID: 120596
Summary: Firebird: Editing: Add support for UI data control

   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.0.0.alpha0+ Master

 Component: Base
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: drewjensen.in...@gmail.com

For Simple Views in the Firebird database support full update functionality
from the engine (in both server and embedded modes), update/add/delete actions
work on the referenced physical table data.

A Simple View here is defined in the Firebird documentation as an updatable
view:

A view will be automatically updatable if all of the following conditions are
met:
• the SELECT statement queries only one table or one updatable view
• the SELECT statement does not call any stored procedures
• each base table (or base view) column not present in the view definition is
covered by one of the following
conditions:
- it is nullable
- it has a non-NULL default value
- it has a trigger that supplies a permitted value
• the SELECT statement contains no fields derived from subqueries or other
expressions
• the SELECT statement does not contain fields defined through aggregate
functions, such as MIN , MAX , AVG ,
SUM , COUNT , LIST
• the SELECT statement contains no ORDER BY or GROUP BY clause
• the SELECT statement does not include the keyword DISTINCT or row-restrictive
keywords such as ROWS ,
FIRST , SKIP

Base data aware controls do not currently support this ability to update
updatable views. Applying update SQL statements directly in the SQL window or
in scripted API calls do work in the current builds.

The enhancement request is to add support at a low enough level to support
updates to an updatable view via the UI data aware controls.

Some of those seem the same root issue, updating pagination or word count. So

The problem is that the application after launching repeatedly takes the focus
of the window on itself. Until the file fully loaded.

Confirmed this:

putting a tab using mouse-click on the horizontal ruler at the right margin or
to its right doesn't take indent into account. It means, when cursor is in the
right column, or in right table cell, etc., clicking inside the column/cell
ruler area puts tab position properly (say, 8.4 cm), but clicking to the right
margin puts tab stop position relative to the left column (and it jumps to 17.0
cm or something similar). Combined with compatibility TAB OVER MARGIN feature,
this makes right-aligned tab stop placed far beyond the column to make the text
invisible.

This is similar to bug 95846, except for the "outside of the column margin"
part. Tested with Version: 6.2.0.0.alpha0+ (x64)
Build ID: 7e85ee1e5fdf0c122f450155f49d9696aef17de0

Summary: Right-column tabs vanish when saved as DOCX
   Product: LibreOffice

  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)

Description:
FORMATTING? In Writer, create a document in landscape orientation with two
columns. Save it as DOCX. Put some flush left paragraphs into the right
column by either adding a column break or overflowing text from the left
column. Select a right-column paragraph, and replace all tabs with a single
right tab. Add text-tab-text. The text following the tab is inaccessible
beyond the right margin. If the document had been saved as ODT, the
right-column right tab would work as expected.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a document in landscape orientation with two columns.
2. Save it as DOCX.
3. Put some flush-left paragraphs into the right column.
4. Select a right-column paragraph, and replace all tabs with a single right
tab.
5. Add text-tab-text. (Some text before and after a tab.)

Actual Results:
The text following the tab is inaccessible beyond the right margin.

Expected Results:
Text before the tab would be flush left. Text after the tab would be flush
right.

Since the last update, Calc has become increasingly sluggish. I work with
multiple files at the same time and this makes things worse, but standard tasks
like Open, Save,Print, etc are all sluggish. This only changed after I applied

I'm not sure I understand the function (what's a "flag for all"?), but I can
look that up, so thanks for that.

This report has morphed a bit. It used to be able gtk3 maximising forms. I
then tried gtk2, and no gtk at all, but never got what I need, which is to
revert to the behaviou several moons ago whereby one could:

1. Edit a form
2. Resize it and save it
3. Every time the form is opened it is at the saved size

Working out the size in pixels, and then recalculating for different screens,
will be non-trivial for many tens of forms. Resizing using a cursor is an
awful lot easier, and is what I used to do.

Still, at least this method is potentially do-able.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 120353] Base optional fields now seem to be mandatory

2018-10-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120353

--- Comment #19 from t...@tim-passingham.co.uk ---
I have now fixed most of my forms and sub-forms (I think) and attempted to test
as many variations as I can think of. This was non-trivial. I hope not too
many others fall into this trap.

I have also reverted to the ubuntu ppa pre-release of 6.1.3.1 which (as
expected) matches the behaviour of the libreoffice version.

So this can, I guess, be set to 'resolved' again. However, before someone else
does that can I ask that attention is paid to the GUI messages. If a database
field is optional, but is 'required' in the form, the error messages should
make this clear, not state that it's an error writing to the database.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 120589] New: Chart Wizard should alert the user when incorrect data is entered in a field

2018-10-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120589

Bug ID: 120589
Summary: Chart Wizard should alert the user when incorrect data
is entered in a field
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 4.2.8.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: Chart
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: teammember0...@gmail.com

Description:
The fields in the Chart Wizard that require a range to be used can have text
entered into them mistakenly by a user. When this happens the incorrect text is
highlighted red and none of the buttons located at the bottom of the screen
will work. This highlighting is not helpful enough for the user to correct this
problem. What should happen instead is a dialog box should be displayed telling
the user which field has incorrect data in it and what correct range data would
look like.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a new spreadsheet.
2. Enter this example data:

namex y
red 1 2
red 2 3
red 4 5
red 5 5
red 5 6
red 7 8

3. Select all the cells that have numbers in them.
4. Click the chart button on the tool bar.
5. Under Chart Type (first screen) select "XY (Scatter)".
6. Push the "Next >>" button
7. In the Data Range screen push the "Next >>" button.
8. In the Data Series screen enter "red" in the "Range for Name" field.

Actual Results:
The text in the "Range for Name" field is highlighted. None of the bottom
buttons work except for Cancel.

Expected Results:
A dialog box should appear telling the user that the "Range for Name" field is
only for range data. An example range should be displayed.

Reproducible: Always

2018-10-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=112590

--- Comment #42 from rob...@familiegrosskopf.de ---
You could use the following workaround, started by a macro in every form:
SUB Window64
oFrame = StarDesktop.getCurrentFrame()
oWin = oFrame.getContainerWindow()
oWin.setPosSize(0,0,600,400,15)
END SUB

First value: x-start (Flag=1)
Second value: y-start (Flag=2)
Third value: width (Flag=4)
Fourth value: height (Flag=8)
Fifth value: Flag for all 1+2+4+8 = 15

You could also set
oWin.IsMaximized = true
That seems to be the behaviour you get if I understand the bug-report right.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 120588] New: Qtcreator completion doesn't work

2018-10-14 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 120588
   Summary: Qtcreator completion doesn't work
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: arnaud.vers...@libreoffice.org

Hello,

When you use the command make qtcreator-ide-integration to create qt creator
specific project files, the resulting ".pro" files in each subdirectory
includes those lines :

INCLUDEPATH += ../../../../../../etc/alternatives/java_sdk_openjdk/include \
../../../../../../etc/alternatives/java_sdk_openjdk/include/linux \
../../../../../../usr/include \
../config_host \
../include \
../workdir/UnoApiHeadersTarget/udkapi/normal

Auto completion and analysis doesn't work if you don't remove the line
../../../../../../usr/include \ . I don't think we should put this line in
those .pro files.

I don't think so. I tested on Win and even 4.3.0 keeps the CPU going.
Strangely, I tried with bibisect repos, but in their builds the CPU calmed down
after like max. 1 minute. I took care to install
https://extensions.libreoffice.org/extensions/languagetool and that the German
dict was installed and automatic spellchecking enabled.
Note: in 4.3.0 one enables the auto spellcheck from toolbar.
Here is the German dictionary for the convenience of future testers:
https://extensions.libreoffice.org/extensions/german-de-de-frami-dictionaries

I also tested LT 3.9 on Linux master and no change in behaviour.

It is not that easy.

In order to get captions in the correct document language I had to switch the
language of the user interface from German to English. After doing so, the
100% cpu load is back — despite of not having any umlauts in the user data. So
the latter turned out be a wild (if educated) guess. Sorry.
