Could you please try to reproduce it with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ? I have set the
bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug
is still present in the latest version. Change to RESOLVED WORKSFORME, if the
problem went away.

Duplicate of bug 89736

Seems to be related to bug 102835
At least a workaround could be to work with a master document (but I don't
know).

> 3) There are many issue on endnote from long time ago

Yes, so please have a look at them, before you file a new bug report to avoid
duplicates.

It's not really clear to me what's your idea with "handle endnote like the list
of figure"

Garmin Express is software that works on your computer and Mac OS and generally
it is been used to manage all your Garmin devices in single place. With this
application, one can effortlessly update the Gps unit and get the right
information by navigating the location on map. If you want to download Garmin
Express in a hassle-free manner on your computer system, then access the link
www.garmin.com/express and go through the entire points correctly. Garmin
Express provides users with the ability to manage and monitor all of their
Garmin devices without putting much effort and invest too much time. So, common
mapping applications, as well as Garmin Connect, can be accessed within a
minute. However, it can also be worked to register any new Garmin products.

Now that we’ve switched to Weblate, I was looking at how many of LO’s languages
have this string translated correctly. Many teams got it right, but several of
them thought that this was some kind of proper name and left it untranslated.
It is not an invented proper name to be left alone; it’s just a misspelled
common noun.

This was missed from this commit [1], which fixed most of the typos introduced
by last year’s default gradient refresh [2].

2019-11-26 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=129050

Bug ID: 129050
Summary: Table rendering is extremely, unacceptably slow
(Writer)
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.8.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: jamshar...@zoho.com

Created attachment 156135
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=156135=edit
One page, two tables, very very slow rendering

The performance of table rendering is so bad -- appalling -- that Writer is
very nearly unusable when tables are involved. Calc is somewhat faster but can
still be slow.

I will attach a typical form from my school. On my system, it takes at least
5-15 seconds for anything to display. It's a *one-page document*. 5 seconds to
render one page on a modern computer system is ludicrous.

Scrolling through the document also shows severe performance degradation -- not
quite as bad, but from a workflow perspective, it means: if you used the scroll
wheel, you will probably overshoot and have to go back (more delays), or you
had better use pageup/pagedown *one key press at a time*, waiting 1-2 seconds
every time.

Also, I believe there are spurious rendering requests being issued. To close
the document requires 5-10 seconds before it disappears. What is it doing in
that time? There is no need to process anything for display, for something that
is very shortly not going to be displayed! Same for "Save as" -- delays both
before and after saving...??? Why?

I have tried toggling OpenCL/hardware acceleration options. Nothing helps.

High CPU usage during all of these delays.

As a further test, today I upgraded from 6.1.something to 6.2.8 and my general
impression is that somehow 6.2.x has degraded the performance *even further*.
(5+ sec for 6.1.x, 10-12+ sec for 6.2.x.)

Multiple users have complained about this over many years (e.g. may be similar
to #125171, #120360 for Draw), but it has never improved.

Ubuntu 18.04.

Which kind of an odt document did I upload into this bug report? A new document
or my productive document? What does the uploaded screenshot of the odt
document show? My productive odt document or a new document?

Anyway, yesterday I requested the deletion of my Bugzilla account.

Screenshot of 6.4.0 beta1 on Windows 10

Strange, I can reproduce here with 6.4.0 beta1 as well.

Version: 6.4.0.0.beta1 (x64)
Build ID: 4d7e5b0c40ed843384704eca3ce21981d4e98920
CPU threads: 2; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 18363; UI render: GL; VCL: win;
Locale: zh-CN (zh_CN); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: threaded

I tried turning on default CTL language (set to Tamil), turning on OpenGL, and
restarting in safe mode, none of them made any difference.

Maybe it's font-related? I'll try a different Tamil font later today.

Dear Telesto,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 129049] New: a frame positioned relative to the page text area is converted to relative to the entire page.

2019-11-26 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=129049

Bug ID: 129049
Summary: a frame positioned relative to the page text area is
converted to relative to the entire page.
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.0.0.beta1+
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: ken.x.gra...@gmail.com

Description:
this is perhaps not a bug at all but a request for information. attempting to
include the maximum info on a US 8.5 x 11" page, my page is defined as the
maximum my printer can deal with (a .17" gap on the top, bottom, left & right).
along this line, I use a 3 column, 10 point, narrow type font. a recipient of
that file might have a printer with different capabilities including metric
measurements. i would expect a frame to be placed relative to his page text
area & not his entire page. i don't know what the metric page size is. I'm
afraid i don't understand the need to display that which is outside of the
users page text area & going a step further, displaying the grey area
surrounding the page. if the intent is to send the data to a projection screen,
a web view would be preferable. thanks for your great product.
PS it would have been nice if I could have "his" made bold.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.add a frame to any text file
2.change the frames properties to bottom & right of page text area.
3.close the file.
quit LO
open the file
look @ the frame's properties.

Actual Results:
the frame's properties will be changed to from top & left of the entire page.

Expected Results:
the frames properties unchanged

Reproducible: Always

I can confirm something similar - attached presentation contains two "ghost"
animations, which need to be "clicked through" before you get to the one "true"
animation (in this case, appearance of a simple object).

Don't know how they are created, but they are attached to the slide: selecting
all and copy/pasting into a new slide resolves the problem.

I don't know how but there is a different apostrophe in A1 than in the
formulas.
The first one in A1 is a ASCII code 146, in the formulas is an ASCII code 39.
Using the same apostrophe works fine.

Do you want to insert a image from clipboard that it will fit to area in the

Created attachment 156132

sample various font metrics with underlining and needing internal leading

Sample text with STIX Two Math, Arial, and DejaVu Serif

Each has different units per EM -- UPEM, and different font metric schemes.

Position cursor and select the U+01D9 Latin Capital Letter U With Diaersis and
Caron on the line with Font DF set at 27pt. Then zoom the page in an out 60%
<--> 600%

Watch the highlight box of the selected Ǚ glyph: relative to the generated
underline for text above, and its intersection with the Ǻ glyph below.

The line height changes, and underline position, recalculated during zoom seems
to be more than just from the floating point glyph positioning of bug 103322

If we had everything correct with the line height then shouldn't the internal
and external leading be calculated the same and not change with each zoom step?

This was just on Windows 10 Ent 64-bit en-US (1903) with
