There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 126248] Calc 6.3: Asian Font is Wrongly Applied to Western Text
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126248 --- Comment #9 from Kevin Suo --- (In reply to Luboš Luňák from comment #8) It is the following function which caused this bug: SvtScriptType ScDocument::GetCellScriptType Specifically, it is related to OUString aStr. The bug is gone if I use back the following code: OUString aStr = ScCellFormat::GetString(*this, rPos, nNumberFormat, , *mxPoolHelper->GetFormTable()); and remove those lines added by that commit. I see the main difference between these two version is, previously the aStr is assigned a value: OUString aStr = ScCellFormat::GetString but in the new one, aStr is never assigned a value, but rather it is directly used in cCellFormat::GetString call, while the nRet still uses aStr as an arg. Is this correct? I am not familiar with c++ anyway. I added a std::cout and then print the value of aStr - With the bug code, aStr is always blank (none?) when I type in text in the cell. With the old code, aStr is correctly showing the text I type in. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

The problem is that in B11 =SUMIF('Product';".*Pencil.*";'Number') the 'Product' auto-label name from A1 is compiled as a row label instead of column label, the resulting reference is B1, which of course does not match. In ScCompiler::IsColRowName() near the end the distinction is made whether another string cell is below or above the label cell, usually labels are used with numeric data if in columns. An additional check whether the label is actually the top or bottom of a filled cell range would indicate a more likely column label, but not solve this case of a corner cell. Those auto-labels should be deprecated anyway as they may fail in other ways when data varies, the proper solution is to use defined labels instead. Insert section (in mirror document), make link to "source" file (and its section). (is loaded just fine). 2. Save "mirror document" (and check that link is still in section). 3. Reload "mirror document" (no query appears about external files) Result: link (and file name) is gone from the section. (with all 3 option settings (Always, On request, Never). Problem got really bad when using alternating page styles with running page headings. One for left page of chapter and another for right so page number would always be at outside. The macro from here: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/BugReport/Attachments Took forever to run and seemed to clobber some of the page styles, chapter, and page headings, but enough of it is there to begin duplicating the problem. I cannot release that book because it will be stolen so including the "confidential" version. The problem is not as severe as it was with the actual document, but you can begin to see the issue. A wheel/scroll mouse makes this problem very obvious. Open document use Navigator to go to page 18. Delete the page break which is at the beginning of the white space after the text. Use scroll/wheel mouse to scroll down looking for next bad page break. You should already see quite a bit of stutter/hang and no "busy" cursor. Find next bad page break and delete it. The more you manage to do the worse the problem gets. If you go away for 5 minutes the problem seems to be gone but comes right back as soon as you start fixing page breaks or moving the beginning of a paragraph to be with its other half on the following page. In truth this document is just under 1000 pages, but can appear as 13-1500 on open. Much of this problem is caused by losing the 6x9 page styles for many pages and the random page breaking problems this reflow causes. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

I don't see the wavy red underline that should mark the misspelled words. However, the spellchecker detects that words are misspelled and suggests appropriate corrections when right-clicking to see the context menu. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Enable automatic spellchecking, and set the correct language for the paragraph. 2. Write something misspelled in Hebrew or Arabic (should be RTL language). 3. For comparison, repeat the same for English, or any other LTR language. Actual Results: RTL misspellings are detected, but a red wavy underline marking is not shown. Context menu offers appropriate corrections. LTR misspellings are detected, and a red wavy underline marking is shown. Context menu offers appropriate corrections. Expected Results: Both RTL and LTR misspellings marked by a red wavy underline. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info: OS: Debian Sid Writer version: 6.4.0.2 from the Sid distribution. OpenCL is disabled. Resetting UserProfile did not help. Turning on/off hardware acceleration, and/or anti-aliasing, did not affect the problem. Turning on/off automatic spell checking did not not affect the problem. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121074 --- Comment #18 from Mike Kaganski --- So yes, the problem is different size of long in used in generic Size (*not* awt::Size): long is 4-byte on all architectures on Windows (or rather MSVC), while it's 8 byte on 64-bit gcc/clang. Note that "long" in IDL is always 4-byte, so awt::Size is consistently uses sal_Int32 on all platforms. On Windows, ScDocument::GetMMRect overflows aRect's 32-bit height when multiplying 1824306210 by HMM_PER_TWIPS (~1.7), resulting in -2147483648 (SAL_MIN_INT32). Later, calculating resulting height, and subtracting 1 from that, positive 2147483647 (SAL_MAX_INT32) appears, which successfully goes into awt:Size. On other platforms, ScDocument::GetMMRect produces correct 64-bit height, which overflows only when copying to awt::Size, resulting in negative value there. Converting the result of ScDocument::GetMMRect (already in MM100) from twips to MM100 is incorrect; it could only succeed here because that would become more than 0x, and owerflowing when writing to awt::Size would again give positive fake result... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
