https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=98362 --- Comment #9 from QA Administrators --- Dear teo8976, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 131866] New: Image Replace removes animations
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131866 Bug ID: 131866 Summary: Image Replace removes animations Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.3.2.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Impress Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: windypla...@gmx.com Created attachment 159312 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=159312=edit zip of example Impress file showing the described problems Summary: Creating slide pages with images that have animations. When the images are "replaced", using the right-click or context menu item, the animations are lost. This can result is lost effort since it may be that the slide is duplicates to preserve the animations and the images are designed to be replaced on successive slides. Also, copying images between slides should preserve the animations on the images. In addition, when replacing images in this way, there needs to be a way to set the image boundaries to the ASPECT of the new image. The Original Size option is not convenient since the image may be very much larger than the slide so this requires a lot of zooming out and resizing of the new images. Steps to reproduce: 1 - create a simple slide show with a single slide and some images with animations. 2 - Duplicate the slide and note that the animations are duplicated with the images. 3 - Duplicate the slide again. 4 - rclick on an image and "replace" it with another image with a different aspect. 5 - Note the animations are lost for the replaced image. 6 - note that there is no easy way to fit the new image to the slide with its correct aspect. "Original Size" does not satisfy this need if the image is very much larger - say 2000x1000 than the slide. See attached annotated example impress file. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131865 Bug ID: 131865 Summary: New version 6.3.5.2(x64) Writer cannot paste text cut from other windows. Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: jobrywebm...@gmail.com Description: New version 6.3.5.2(x64) Writer cannot paste text cut from other windows such as a website. The previous version did this without a problem. A freshly opened Writer document cannot be pasted into at all; if a cut and paste operation is performed within that document, then text can be copied from a web page and pasted in its original formatting BUT Paste Special does not work, making the action pretty useless. Steps to Reproduce: 1.open a Writer document 2.open a website with some text in it 3.copy some website text and attempt to paste into the Writer document Actual Results: after the Copy was performed, hovering over the Writer document and right clicking shows the Paste option grayed out. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131864 --- Comment #1 from Albert Acer --- My tests were done with LO 6.4.0, 6.4.1 and 6.4.2 in Spanish, on an X64 PC, running Windows 10 Professional (64 bits) Operating System, in Spanish. However, in the tests carried out with LO Calc 6.3.5, in Spanish, this error was not reproduced. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 131844] Spanish translation is missing in the (Menu) “Formato”> "Page Style" path, in LO Writer 6.4.X in Spanish.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131844 --- Comment #4 from Albert Acer --- My tests were done with LO 6.4.0, 6.4.1 and 6.4.2 in Spanish, on an X64 PC, running with Windows 10 Professional (64 Bits) Operating System, in Spanish. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 131862] New: ODF: Remove deprecated attribute table:cell-range-address from element
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131862 Bug ID: 131862 Summary: ODF: Remove deprecated attribute table:cell-range-address from element Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Chart Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: rb.hensc...@t-online.de ODF 1.2 has deprecated the table:call-range-address as attribute of element . Instead the attribute chart:values-cell-range-address of is used. http://docs.oasis-open.org/office/v1.2/os/OpenDocument-v1.2-os-part1.html#attribute-table_cell-range-address_element-chart_plot-area The use of this attribute with element will be removed in ODF 1.4. Therefore it is time to change LibreOffice accordingly. I have made some tests with charts in Writer, Calc, Impress and Draw. I have generated a chart, then removed the attribute in file, and then reopened the file. In all my tests, the chart was the same as created. So it should be no problem to remove writing that attribute for ODF 1.4. I could not test charts in reports (REPORTBUILDER) because of crashes. The REPORTBUILDER seem to have severe problems with charts, see bug 117162, bug 117159, bug 87012 for example. I have looked at Pivot-Charts too. They have principle ODF related errors in cell addresses and need rework anyway, see bug 112785 and bug 112783. Old OOo versions use this attribute to distinguish between the cases, that the data source is the internal table of the chart, or the chart has an external data source. I have seen comments on this. So it might be, that import/export filter for these old versions still need to treat this attribute. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=101211 --- Comment #21 from Kenneth Hanson --- @V Stuart Foote Your proposed keybindings sound good to me. Regarding names, I should clarify that I also find the "physical" moniker to be no good on the user side. I have some questions about UNO commands. 1. What is the UNO command for the "Next/Previous Page" commands? Are they the PageUpCursor and PageDownCursor functions in the code Jim linked? 2. In the customize dialog, is there any difference between commands labeled "Go to next X" vs simply "To next X"? Also, the names I proposed were all labels for the UI. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127782 --- Comment #67 from FerbTux --- Workaround to make the buttons visible with GNOME (Tested with GNOME 3.34 and 3.36): It is possible to make the buttons visible by moving up the print dialog. First, the attachment of modal dialogs must be disabled (note: the setting disables it globally for all applications!) In a Terminal: gsettings set org.gnome.mutter attach-modal-dialogs false Alternative: Use gnome-tweaks: Windows -> Attach Modal Dialogs = off When now the print dialog is shown, the movement can be activated with ALT+F7. Use the UP key afterwards to move the window upwards until the buttons are visible. Confirm with ENTER key. If an overlay/window action key is set (gnome-tweaks: Windows -> Window Action Key) the window can also be moved by holding the specified key and dragging the window to the desired position) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 93117] LibreOffice freezes when trying to access/open/read/write documents on NFS mounts
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=93117 --- Comment #7 from rha...@webcon.ca --- This still happens with Libreoffice 6.3 on Ubuntu 19.10 and Ubuntu 18.04. Please consider converting this into an enhancement request to make debugging of this issue easier. The error messages in this case really should be improved to help figure out what the heck is going on i.e. check permissions where you are trying to save; Check NFS locking is working and how to do that; Try the file locally to see if issue goes away. This isn't an issue that an Unknown User has the file locked. It is an issue that Libreoffice was unable to do locking at all where the file was being written. This can quickly be found by copying the document you are trying to open to a local volume say /tmp and seeing if you can open it there. The "solution" where people turn off file locking is going to break a lot of things and should NOT be recommended. Switching to NFSv4 is overkill and not needed. I suspect differences in how locking is done on NFSv4 were why this helped some users. The solution here is straight forward but not obvious unless you can see the server logs. I could create my lock file manually for example .~lock.document.odt. I was not having permission problems. What I was having was NFS locking issues. I eventually found on my server when I looked at dmesg I had entries like: [67667.828919] lockd: cannot monitor ClientHostName The solution was on client and on server I had to enable rpc-statd as root: # systemctl enable rpc-statd; systemctl start rpc-statd That was enough to end the lockd errors and Libreoffice just worked as expected. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

You are truly rock stars. The one thing I find that could use some attention is how the text is handled on connectors. I create a connector, attach it from one object to another, which produces a curved line. When I attach text to it (meaning I double click on the connector line and add text, the text shows up in an awkward location. It would be nice to place the text where ever I would like to. The work around is obviously to add another text object and move it around... which is fine. But if I could do this with test already assigned to the connector line, that would be best. I think many people would appreciate this upgrade. Thank you for hearing my request. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Create Object A 2.Create Object B 3.Click on the Connector icon on the tool bar. 4. Attach the connector from Object A to Object B 5. Make the drawing to where the connector line is curved 6. Double click on the connector line and add test. notice placement of the text.
