Closing this INVALID, because it is not a proper feature request. A single
issue must be devoted to a single request, which might be evaluated, then
tracked and resolved individually. Having an arbitrary list does not allow to
decide if this should be implemented or not (and which parts), or see at which
stage it is or what is still missing.

Please file as many simple requests as needed.

   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.3.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: trivial

Since fix for tdf#33041/tdf#112195, Writer fills whole page with area color,
including margins. However, the preview image in Page Style dialog shows the
color only applied inside margins. It should either not show the area color
(and e.g. highlight currently edited part like header/footer with some color
instead), or show it right.

2020-04-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=132285

Bug ID: 132285
   Summary: List of Feature Requests
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.2.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: Draw
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: openmysourcec...@gmail.com

Description:
Hello friends,

I have a little bit of background before I get to the features I would like to
suggest (and even help to implement if someone is willing to pair up with me
since I'm new to the code-base).

I'm working on building a computer and I'm trying to plan out the wiring and
components before I purchase the parts. I built a list of the parts on
PCPartPicker.com and scoured the internet for all the documentation I could
find. My plan was to draw up this wiring and connection diagram in LibreOffice
Draw but I ran into a few hurdles that made it not so user friendly for the
task. And frustratingly, every other software program I've tried that I have
access to has been even less helpful making Draw the ideal candidate for
drawing up these sorts of diagrams.

So before I tell the story of how I ran into these issues, and list the
features I'm proposing, I want to preface this with a note that these features
may already exist but if they do, then their discoverability then is what I
would suggest improving and would love to discuss, and as I said before, I
would love the opportunity to work with a more experienced developer to make
them more accessible.

So first onto the list, and then an explanation of what I was doing that made
me want these features and how they might work if implemented:

1. Lock Item - A button near the corner of a shape or image or object that
locks it in place, prevents it from being resized, and requires double clicking
in order to select. Also a button in the toolbar/sidebar that will lock the
item and maybe a similar button in the navigator for the object, layer, or
sheet would make that feature more accessible.

2. First Class anchor point object - an object point that can be placed on the
canvas that is otherwise identical to other objects except that it has an
anchor point in the center to which lines, curves, sides, etc can be anchored
(just like the anchor points on any other object) but otherwise without a
visible presence on the final printed sheet.

3. Coordinate Locking - The ability to lock certain sides or points of one
object with other objects, but especially these anchor point objects. The idea
behind this is that a shape will resize or a point will move in the direction
that two elements are locked, so for example, if I have a square and a point,
and I have a line between them, and another line 90 degrees from that line to
another point, and I lock the x axis of the square and the first point, then
the line between the first and second point will extend or shrink, but if I
move the square along the y axis, then the point will not move and the line
between the point and the square will shrink or extend.

4. Selection of object from Navigator - Currently, when clicking on an object
in the navigator, it does not select the object on the canvas, or at least the
selection is not visible on the canvas.

5. Custom Shape Palette - This is a much bigger feature with some sub-features.
The idea is another artboard on the canvas that contains custom shapes that the
user has drawn. When these shapes are selected and dragged to the primary
artboard, they automatically duplicate. To actually remove the shape, you would
select it and then use any delete function (key, menu option, etc) to remove it
after confirming in a dialog box that you wish to do so. Additionally, a
repository would host user submitted palettes that could then be downloaded
from within Draw, shown on the canvas, and then shapes used automatically.
Their sizes would be fixed in mm/inches and a scale option would exist in the
artboard properties to scale the objects up or down. There would also be a
"help" feature when right clicking in case there's any documentation in
markdown or HTML. File-wise, these would be standard draw files with a
different extension (oddt?) as well as the md/html file for the "help"
sub-feature.

6. Add Visible/Invisible switch - Add a Visible/Invisible icon switch for each
item in the navigator to hide or show objects, whole layers, or even whole
pages. Hidden objects would not be considered in the exported or printed
version of the document but would be available in the saved drawing. Gimp,
photoshop, and many other drawing programs have this feature and it's very
helpful for them and I think it would be helpful to LO Draw as well.

7. Add a set of buttons to the Navigator - Make it so that the navigator has
buttons for adding objects, moving the order of objects (such as an

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 132284] When using a non-English language as default for all documents, when typing, paragraph language changes to OS language. Status "NEW"

2020-04-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=132284

Mike Kaganski  changed:

   What|Removed |Added

--- Comment #1 from Mike Kaganski  ---
This is a correct and intended behaviour. Please see "Ignore system input
language" checkbox on Options - Language Settings - Languages [1], which is
disabled by default, allowing one to automatically match the text language with
currently active system input language. The idea is that user has multiple such
languages defined, and uses normal system key combination to switch them (often
along with changing keyboard) without the need to also explicitly change this
setting in LibreOffice.

Closing NOTABUG.

Additionally: please never confirm (changing status) the bugs you create. It
must be UNCONFIRMED, until someone confirms it independently. In the process,
sometimes more information might be required, and when confirming, experienced
triagers might CC developers who are likely to know how to fix, or find commits
that caused regressions, etc. If you confirm your bug yourself, you put it into
a state where it's likely not get any attention, because triagers would think
it's already processed, and developers would not see it useful. (I only found
it by accident, because saw it in recent logs).

2020-04-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 132284
   Summary: When using a non-English language as default for all
documents, when typing, paragraph language changes to
OS language. Status "NEW"
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.0.3 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: elvis.henriq...@gmail.com

Description:
Hi. In Tools - Options - Language Settings - Languages: Local Setting is set to
"Portuguese (Brazil)", Default Languages for Documents is set to "Portuguese
(Brazil)" too on Western.

With New Documents, or existing documents, when setting language for the
documents as "Portuguese (Brazil)", when typing, language of new typed
letters/words is set to the default language of the Keyboard at OS level.

If document is set to Portuguese (Brazil) and OS Keyboard language is set to
English, for instance, then the language of the new written words is set to
English.

If document is set to Portuguese (Brazil) and OS Keyboard language is set to
Spanish, then the language of the new written words is set to English.

Users need to be highlighting the new words, or the whole paragraph, in order
to set again the language to Portuguese (Brazil) for the Spell checking to
properly work.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Define a Language for a paragraph or a document. Example, Portuguese
(Brazil)
2. Set keyboard language at OS level to other than the language of the
document. Example, English.
3. Start typing anywhere on the document.

Actual Results:
New words are written in the language of the OS Keyboard instead of the one
defined for the paragraph/document.

Expected Results:
New words should remain in the language defined for the paragraph / document.

I will first deinstall current 6.3.5.2 version, install LO 6.4.3 (run it with a
backtrace), and if there's *still* a problem, then update Ubuntu to something a
bit more recent.

I disagree! The bug discribes a difference between the filename in the dialog
and the used one. This should result in an own testcase. For security reasons
this bug should be classified very high!

Simple PPTX document

This is a regression between LibreOffice 6.4.3.2 and 7.0.0.0.alpha0,
specifically broken in

  Version: 7.0.0.0.alpha0+
  Build ID: 1289ef10406e00d0fc9abc5bca444d026ab21743
  CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 5.6; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3;
  TinderBox: Linux-rpm_deb-x86_64@86-TDF, Branch:master

Instead of the titles in this document rendering normally (= horizontally)
text flows vertically from top to bottom, also offset a bit sideways.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 132104] Calc lacks several fields available in Writer

--- Comment #3 from Lenge  ---
(In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #2)
> What variables exactly are you missing?

1.) Page number/count: Also applicable in Calc
(as spreadsheets are printed on pages, just like any other document)

2.) Did you miss the entire "Insert\Field\More Fields..." part?
What I miss most is what I already stated in the original report:

For example, you can easily insert the document's last modification date and
time as fields in Writer, and these fields will automatically update themselves
each time the document is saved:

Insert\Field\More Fields...
Tab: "DocInformation"
Type: Modified
Select: Time, Date

While such a functionality is very useful and comfortable, there is no
equivalent in Calc, neither as fields nor as spreadsheet functions.

Thanks for the input. I've tested it.

The example in the help with million (0.0,, "Million") works, however
'0,00."‰"' does not work.

For million the thousands delimiters (,) is used which acts as division by 1000
for display.
However for ‰, there seems to be no sign, which acts as multiplication by 1000
for display.

I've tested it in English (USA) locale.

I was expecting to just hide/disable the Hyperlink tab in the Character dialog
iff there is no text selected.

I had to discover there exists the Insert->Hyperlink possibility. Yes, it makes
some sense that the hyperlink is "inserted", I was more searching how to
"Format" an existing text to add a hyperlink to it.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 132280] New: FORMCONTROLS Data Labels for the Data Points ignore Data Labels field

2020-04-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=132280

Bug ID: 132280
   Summary: FORMCONTROLS Data Labels for the Data Points ignore
Data Labels field
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.3.5.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: practicalc...@gmail.com

Description:
When you create an XY chart, and wish to create data labels for each point; LO
Calc ignores whatever you use in the [Data Labels] textbox of the [Data Ranges]
dialog box for the chart.

Note: I am not 100% that FORMCONTROLS is the correct label above, it just
seemed the closest option.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Enter two columns of numerical values for xy values, enter a third column of
same length for the [Data Labels] (i.e. A, B, C, D, E, ...)
2.Highlight the data; Insert > Chart; correct the wizards guesses for [Data
Ranges], [Range for X Values], & [Data Labels]
3.Double click the chart to enter the chart editing mode; single click on a
data point (which will select all the data points) and right click & select
[Insert Data Labels].

Actual Results:
It will then show only the Y-axis values of each data point & not use the
information provided in the [Data Labels] field.

Expected Results:
It should use the values indicated in the [Data Labels] field, for each data
point.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:
It should use the values indicated in the [Data Labels] field, for each data
point.

Note: This bug should not be affected by user profiles; so I did not reset my
profile.

I think we must focus on the error with full 64 bits or full 32 bits but not
with hybrid since expected.

The pb is: "HYC00 - Optional feature not implemented" is quite generic and
don't provide much hints.
Searching about this, I got:
290 Reference< XPreparedStatement > SAL_CALL OConnection::prepareCall(
const OUString& /*sql*/ )
291 {
292 ::dbtools::throwFeatureNotImplementedSQLException(
"XConnection::prepareCall", *this );
293 return nullptr;
294 }
See
https://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/connectivity/source/drivers/odbc/OConnection.cxx?r=1dd9200b#292

and
450 void SAL_CALL OConnection::setTypeMap( const Reference<
css::container::XNameAccess >& /*typeMap*/ )
451 {
452 ::dbtools::throwFeatureNotImplementedSQLException(
"XConnection::setTypeMap", *this );
453 }
See
https://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/connectivity/source/drivers/odbc/OConnection.cxx?r=1dd9200b#450

But I expect it fails even if we full 64 bits or full 32 bits install.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 90653] Opening .csv : Problem with rows

2020-04-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90653

--- Comment #20 from Eike Rathke  ---
It's not a bug in Calc. It's a bug in the data generating application.

Meanwhile the cell's string limit is not 64k anymore so theoretically upping
that limit could be possible. BUT.. big BUT:

The data is broken at several places, that's why it is tried to stuff so many
characters into one cell resulting in less rows than the original. First broken
field is in row 3385, after import go to D3385 and you'll see quite a few
records crammed into that cell. Reason is that the record

052.01076;DECONS - Le Pian (Louens);40271311900012;"Louens" 1701 -  Route de
Soulac;33290;LE
PIAN-MEDOC;GIRONDE;AQUITAINE;360329.91;1999074.6;3831Z;Démantèlement d'épaves;;

is broken data in that the field content
;"Louens" 1701 -  Route de Soulac;
starts with a field opening " quote character but is not closed, so the CSV
import correctly keeps running that field until a field closing " quote
character is encountered in row 3415 of

(the Graulin";).

The correct data in the wrong field instead should had been
;"""Louens"" 1701 -  Route de Soulac";

There are a few of such cases, visually detectable by a tall row and usually
the bad data in column D. Rows of raw data:

Haven tested it, but a previous comment(#8) suggests this works. Corporate is
pushing 64 bit LO. So this is not really something I can check, nor is this

// #i18128# word has only one line between adjoining vertical cells
// we have to mimic this in the filter by picking the larger of the
// sides and using that one on one side of the line (right)

It looks like this can be fixed in ww8par2.cxx's AdjustNewBand by commenting
out

//aOldBox.SetLine(nullptr, SvxBoxItemLine::RIGHT);

The problem comes from the fact that three cells need to be merged. The first
cell has no left border, so I assume that it just uses that for the newly
merged cell.

I have no idea of the implications of not removing the right line are - either
for import or for export, especially since there were no unit test failures...

Nothing to fix or implement here. If you tell VLOOKUP() to do a range lookup by
not giving the 4th parameter at all then the lookup range MUST be sorted,
otherwise the result will be *arbitrary*. This is the same in Calc and Excel
though the result may be different arbitrary due to different search algorithms
and *by accident* may be what is expected in one or the other. See also

Nope, what I meant is only once when the window is created. The image is an SVG
and it takes some time to read and convert so on-the-fly is not possible other
than using raster image methods.

The point of changing the size initially is that people use different sizes
depending on screen size, resolution, and personal preference. 400px is a sane
average but if you run 4k displays just some flyspeck.

The strike through manner of tracking changes is distracting as opposed to
bubble track changes in the margin. So far I have gone "Show Track Changes
Functions" and then clicked on "Record Track Changes". It only gives a strike
through option for tracking changes and not a track changes in the margin for
DELETED portions.

Does this config work?

If you use LO 64 bits with 32 bit ODBC driver + DSN in the 32 bit Windows conf,
I think it can be expected.
What about if in this 32 bit case, you uninstall LO 64 bits and install LO 32
bits?

By default we're using the 64 bit ODBC driver with LO 64 bit. When I remove the
64 bit ODBC driver, install only the 32 bit ODBC driver and create a DSN in the
32 bit windows configuration interface, LO Base responds with:

"The specified DSN contains an architecture mismatch between the Driver and
Application"

Prefer Notepad++ or gvim, never been an emacs fan. And OSX keyboard shortcuts
of Dark Room are not my favorites.

Anyhow, see no advantage to the suggested writing mode compared to LibreOffice
Writer's current Full screen (++j)

With needed work done to provide a text only view while handling fit margin
widths and page spacing--as for bug 37817, bug 126868, bug 127801, and bug
130023

IMHO => WF for implementing the app, and otherwise a functional duplicate of
bug 37817
