Do you mean with brand new file + step by step mechanism provided in my
previous comment or only with specific files?

If only specific files, could you "sanitize" them by using
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/Bugzilla/Sanitizing_Files_Before_Submission
?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 132751] New: LibreOffice Table breaking

2020-05-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=132751

Bug ID: 132751
   Summary: LibreOffice Table breaking
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.0.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: md7...@gmail.com

Description:
easiest way to describe is that part of the table will be split in to 2 with
almost a full page in between. The table was made as 1 table may take 2-4
pages. Also lets say you have a 3 by 3 table but need to make 2 in 1/2 the ones
that are still holding it together will end up looking like the split ones and
only a temperately able to fix by splitting it up and then merging them.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. make table of 5 horizontal - 30+ vertical
2. fill table with 1-1-3-1-1 lines of text
3. easiest way restart computer while its still open (close it and then restart
may also bring this problem around)

Actual Results:
parts of table broke leaving gaps in the table

Expected Results:
table should have stayed as 1 table no spaces in the boxes

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
on terms of tables it seems to have issues being split and boxes who are not
split end up splitting. Not really sure how to reproduce it other than work on
a table splitting all but 1 row. As you scroll down you may end up seeing a
missing box. I work with a lot of tables doing personal game guides or other
tasks.

See original comments below, first. I have a video file, just too big to
attach (235MB as an MP4 file). Please email me if you have any questions.
Thanks!

In the LibreOffice Online Help, the list of shortcuts located here:

https://help.libreoffice.org/6.4/en-US/text/shared/04/0101.html?=WRITER=WIN

Had the following information:

Ctrl+Y Redoes last action.
Ctrl+Shift+Y Repeats last command.

I tried using CTRL Shift Y the second time around, and it worked. I'm not sure
of the difference between the two commands (redo vs. repeat), but even the
functional definitions seem a little vague as to the differences. For example,
on the following pages, the current instruction reads as:

(Redo)
https://help.libreoffice.org/6.4/en-US/text/shared/01/0202.html?=WRITER=WIN
"Redo
Reverses the action of the last Undo command. To select the Undo step that you
want to reverse, click the arrow next to the Redo icon on the Standard bar."

(Repeat)
https://help.libreoffice.org/6.4/en-US/text/shared/01/0203.html?=WRITER=WIN
"Repeat
Repeats the last command. This command is available in Writer and Calc."

Maybe some examples to the documentation could be of use (e.g., when to use
"Redo" vs. "Repeat"). Also, if you compare the two definitions from the latter
part of this additional comment to the hotkey definitions, they are slightly
different...I did a bit of searching trying to find a definition of action and
definition of command, and came up blank. Just wondering if there's a reason
why CTRL-Y can't have some more functions added to the "Redo", or if there are
things that both "Redo" and "Repeat" can and can't do between the two...

Might be being a bit too rhetorical / expansive in my thinking for what may not
be a bug but a "human performance error" or maybe it is an opportunity for
improvement in Calc. I leave that in your capable hands. :)

Just a suggestion...

Dear ape,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 132750] New: UI Comment on a cell overrides filters

2020-05-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=132750

Bug ID: 132750
Summary: UI Comment on a cell overrides filters
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.3.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: m...@solutions.org.nz

Description:
If I create a note for a cell, then filter the sheet, then the comment is still
visible even when the row is not in the filtered results.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a dataset in a sheet
2. Add a comment to a cell
3. Create a filter so the row containing this cell does NOT show

Actual Results:
The comment shows over other rows, but the row itself does not show

Expected Results:
I would expect the cell comment be hidden unless the row itself was visible.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

It did this in Safe and Standard Mode

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 132748] New: FORMCONTROL Multiple Filters create crash

2020-05-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=132748

Bug ID: 132748
Summary: FORMCONTROL Multiple Filters create crash
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.3.3.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: m...@solutions.org.nz

Description:
Adding more than about 5 filters (more or less depending on complexity of
query) causes the file to crash.

Either
1/ Create a control to limit the amount of filters a user can have in a given
situation, with a warning and prevention system

or 2/
Adjust memory usage to allow unlimited filters.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Tab with over 2000 lines, 38 columns
2. Multiple filers (more than 5, with varying complexity of query)

Actual Results:
At first the filter operates slowly with a blue circle, then as more memory is
required it simply crashes and Calc disappears altogether.

Expected Results:
s more memory is required it simply crashes and Calc disappears altogether.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
It should have either warned me this was too complex for my environment or it
should have performed the filter operation.

At first glance resetting USer Profile seems to have worked, but Im this far
through the report and will finish it anyway, because doing this corrupted the
user profile somehow and it would be good for it to be fixed so people dont
have to go through this and be forced to operate in Safe Mode.

This is still greyed out in 6.4.2.2
Perhaps abandoning the frame logic altogether when captioning an image would
help?

2020-05-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=132746

Bug ID: 132746
Summary: Writer: copy paste from other application stops
working after copying from writer
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.3.5.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: fr...@inorbit.com

OS/Environment: Linux/KDE plasma (Kubuntu)
Copying lines of text from PDF (Foxit for Linux) to LO Writer stops working
after copying text lines from LO Writer to LO Writer. This happened after
upgrading to version 6.3.5.2, and was not fixed after installing version
6.3.6.2. Reverting to 6.2.8.2 fixes the problem.

To reproduce:
1) copy line of text from pdf reader to LO Writer: works
2) can keep copying text from pdf reader to LO Writer: works
3) copy line of text from LO Writer to LO Writer: works
4) copy line of text from pdf reader to LO Writer:stops working

After closing and opening again LO Writer, copying works again until triggering
the bug by copying from LO Writer to LO Writer.

On pc Debian x86-64 with master sources updated today, I got a crash.

There's indeed a pb when dealing with surrogate.
See part of bt when typing space after having clicking on middle of 푛
character:
#0  SmParser::Parse(rtl::OUString const&) (this=0x3205db8, rBuffer="\xd835
\xdc5b") at starmath/source/parse.cxx:2381
#1  0x7fffdc3981e3 in SmDocShell::Parse() (this=0x3205c20) at
starmath/source/document.cxx:222
#2  0x7fffdc397e7c in SmDocShell::SetText(rtl::OUString const&)
(this=0x3205c20, rBuffer="\xd835 \xdc5b\n") at starmath/source/document.cxx:145
#3  0x7fffdc3973c8 in SmDocShell::Execute(SfxRequest&) (this=0x3205c20,
rReq=...) at starmath/source/document.cxx:1034

There shouldn't be an extra space here: "\xd835 \xdc5b"

The crash is triggered by
https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=11b57129b53e1e2d71a5f969e2417226b4e2ddd9
but it just makes the bug worse, it didn't create it.

I don't understand how come typing space may indeed insert a space between a
pair of surrogates in rBuffer.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 132736] FileOpen / FileSave default directory in native dialogs on MS Windows

2020-05-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=132736

bug 34303 suggests as a workaround to use LibO dialogs. And the fix relates to
PDF export macro's. However, the problem is both with File Open, Save As, PDF
export dialog.

In fact the original report was marked enhancement, then changed to bug.

And on the most used platform a most annoying one that bug users will encounter
every day.

The correct behavior as expected by anybody working on more then 1 document at
a time is as in the KDE / MAcOS (didn't try gtk) version, the default directory
should be the directory the active document is located, and not a recent
directory, or a directory used yesterday.

But I just tested on the latest and greatest 6.4.3.2.

I created in My Documents directory 1 with document1 and directory 2 with
document2.
I can confirm that with document 1 active, Save As, PDF export, Save Copy with
use directory 1 as default, while with document 2 active, Save As, PDF export,
Save Copy with use directory 2 as default. That is great!

However, with either document 1 or 2 active File Open will always use directory
2 as default. Meh. How hard can it be?. BTW on KDE this will open a directory I
used yesterday, so crazy on that platform as well.

Also, Insert Picture uses as default:
C:\Users\ferry\AppData\Roaming\LibreOffice\4\user\gallery.

Really? When you are working on a document would you have all the pictures you
want to insert in your working directory, or would you go through the trouble
to copy them over to the gallery first? And then on KDE in this case it opens a
folder I used a year ago or so. Wow.

So I would say the issue is half fixed in 6.4.3.2, I will inform my users on
windows to upgrade. But the other half is still inconsistent and annoying.
Should I change the bug title to File Open / Insert Picture and mark confirmed?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 132741] New: Sum() function with range declared with $ returning #VALUE!

2020-05-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=132741

Bug ID: 132741
Summary: Sum() function with range declared with $ returning
#VALUE!
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.3.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: korn...@gmail.com

Created attachment 160404
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=160404=edit
Example of SUM($G41:G61) not working correctly

When I use SUM() on specific rows (example in attachment) with $ sign in range
definition, the #VALUE! error occured. This happens on specific columns. In my
example this occure on $G$41:G61 and SUM is eveluated on K41:K61.
When you remove $ sign from range declaration, all will work correctly.
It looks like "$" is messing something.

BUT!
When you move the same data into $A$1:A16 and E1:E16 (sum function) - then all
is calculated with no error.

Both examples are in attachmed file (on seperate tabs).

PS. Attachment was created in polish version of Calc.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 117945] Videoclip flickering during full screen presentation (GTK3)

2020-05-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117945

the issue seems to be related to races in the presentation queue. When
simultaneously recording the full-screen window with OBS-Studio (xcomposite),
there is no flickering.

Likely, XFlush is done at the wrong place (or not at all).

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 132739] New: HTML Document: Table borders disappear, because multiple style attributes are written within a single tag

2020-05-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=132739

Bug ID: 132739
Summary: HTML Document: Table borders disappear, because
multiple style attributes are written within a single
tag
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.3.6.1 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: a.b...@science-computing.de

Description:
If you create a HTML document containing a table with cell borders and colored
cell background, LibreOffice writes multiple style attributes into every td tag
like this:

The problem is, that LibreOffice itself and also Firefox simply ignore the
re-definition of style (the second style argument).

I'm not quite sure what the XHTML-specification says about this, but AFAIU it
should be one style argument containing both background and border styles.

At least LibreOffice should display the document the same way it looked like
before closing.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start soffice
2. "File" -> "New" -> "HTML Document"
3. "Insert Table", e.g. 3x3
4. Select the whole table, right click -> "Table Properties..." -> "Borders" ->
"Set Outer Border and All Inner Lines"
5. Select "Color": "Dark Gray 2", click "OK"
6. Select the whole table, set "Table Cell Background Color" e.g. to "Light
Blue 1"
7. Save the document as html file (watch the cell borders)
8. Close soffice
9. Open document with soffice or any modern web browser (take a look at the
borders now)

or

1. Take a HTML document containing a table with borders and cells with
background color created by LibreOffice 4.3.7.2.
2. Open this document with LibreOffice >= 5.3.6.1.
3. Change something, save.
4. Have your table borders disappear.

Actual Results:
Cell borders are shown wrong. Same in a modern web browser.

Expected Results:
The HTML document should be saved as displayed.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
Latest known unaffected version: 4.3.7.2 (on CentOS 6).
In 4.3.7.2 the background color wasn't written in CSS, but only with the
bgcolor argument (see test_4.3.7.2.html).

Earliest known affected version: 5.3.6.1 (on CentOS 7).
Latest known affected version: 6.4.3.2.

Version: 6.4.3.2

IIUC this is now intentional as fixed in see also bug 34303, but related
