If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=143295 Bug ID: 143295 Summary: DateAcceptancePattern is wrong in Korean. Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: LibreOffice Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: sungd...@gmail.com Description: I checked Korean Line break rules file ( i18npool/source/localedata/data/ko_KR.xml ). So, I also checked Korean LC_FORMAT, DateAcceptancePattern rule. In Korean Date notations, 'M/D' doesn't use in Korean. As a Korea Standard(Republic of Korea's agency Korean Standards Association - KS X ISO8601), Date notation follows ISO 8601 — Date and time format. So, The Korean Version of MS Excel displays dates based on ISO8601. Also, As a Hangul orthography(한글맞춤법), the overall rules of writing the Korean language with Hangul, Date notation uses '.' Use of ' - (2) Arabic numerals alone to indicate the date of the year, month and day. Example) 1919. 3. 1. 2008년 5월 → 2008. 5. 7월 22일 → 7. 22. As a result, In Korean, both "-MM-DD"(ISO8601) and ". MM. DD."Hangul orthography(한글맞춤법)" are public and usually use in Korean. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Tools -> Options -> Language Settings -> Languages 2. 3. Actual Results: Date Acceptance patterns: Y/M/D;M/D; Expected Results: Date Acceptance patterns: Y/M/D;M/D; Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Date Acceptance patterns: Y-M-D;M-D;M.D.;M월D일;Y.M.D.;Y년M월D일 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=138347 --- Comment #4 from Andreas Heinisch --- I tried to investigate this error. Here are my findings: For both Calc and Writer the URL will be open in: https://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/sfx2/source/appl/appopen.cxx?r=5021a10f#1078 The only difference is that the target of the URL is "empty" for Calc and "_blank" for Writer, if you try to open it using CTRL+click. However, if Writer opens the URL via context menu, the target is "empty" as well. Calc will add the "_blank" target, if SHIFT is enabled, which is IMHO wrong: https://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/sc/source/core/data/global.cxx?r=1b7fc505#810 Writer adds the "_blank" target in: https://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/sw/source/uibase/wrtsh/wrtsh2.cxx?r=aa818a0b#546, because of the CTRL modifier in: https://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/sw/source/uibase/docvw/edtwin.cxx?r=216a43bc#4691. Because why otherwise would they need that palette? [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 143290] New: LO Writer: no way to deselect 'standard.dic'
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=143290 Bug ID: 143290 Summary: LO Writer: no way to deselect 'standard.dic' Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.1.4.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: christianw_lehm...@arcor.de Description: When I add a word to the dictionary (right-click > Add to Dictionary), Writer makes me choose between my custom dictionary and 'standard.dic'. I want to add all new items to my custom dictionary because 1) I do not understand the use of a 'standard.dic' which is of no language ("lang: ") and 2) because I lose time by the additional mouse operation. So I go to Tools > Options > Language Settings > Writing Aids > User-defined Dictionaries. While selecting my custom dictionary, I deselect 'standard [All]' and close the dialog with OK. Next time I right-click on an unknown word, the choice between the custom and the standard dictionaries pops up again. I now again open the options and find the 'standard [All]' selected. Result: 1) While it ought to be possible to deselect the 'standard.dic' for building one's custom dictionary, this is actually impossible. 2) Writer misleads and frustrates the user by the behavior described. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Tools > Options > Language Settings > Writing Aids > User-defined Dictionaries 2. Deselect 'standard [All]', OK. Actual Results: 1. In the document, click on an unknown word: standard.dic is offered. 2. Tools > Options > Language Settings > Writing Aids > User-defined Dictionaries: 'standard [All]' is selected. Expected Results: Standard.dic should remain deselected and should not be offered for storing a new word. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: I realize I could, in the standard.dic, change the line 'lang: ' to 'lang: de-DE and then use it as my custom dictionary. However, I need a custom dictionary for each language I am using; there is no "standard" here. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 79332] self-contained pivot table. Implement pivot cache.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=79332 --- Comment #24 from stragu --- Reproduced with: Version: 7.2.0.0.beta1 / LibreOffice Community Build ID: c6974f7afec4cd5195617ae48c6ef9aacfe85ddd CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 5.4; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded In both ODS or XLSX, removing the pivot table data source brings up a warning message, which is good. The difference between the two formats, after removing pivot table source, then saving and reopening: - In ODS: still shows the contents of the pivot table, but refreshing it makes data disappear. - In XLSX: contents of pivot table vanished directly when opening the file. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 107381] Default cell style colors shouldnt be included as document colors
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=107381 --- Comment #12 from Ming Hua --- (In reply to Mike Kaganski from comment #10) > Anyway, I generally disagree with any changes that psychologically split > styles from document content. It makes styles more "voodoo magic", instead > of the opposite goal of making styles the integral part of the document and > user's workflow. In general I agree with this direction of emphasizing the integral role of styles. (In reply to Mike Kaganski from comment #11) > But implementing this proposal means that people are expected to *not* use > styles as expected, because the following workflow is ignored: user creates > a document (e.g. a spreadsheet), creates styles in it as they need, with > colors they intend to use; and this intention is like painter preparing a > palette. Not having those colors that user *declared explicit intention to > use* on the palette of used colors is IMO absurd. One possible solution here is treating user-created styles differently than default styles. --- No matter how the developers eventually decide, the annoyance is real: the users who use document colors a lot but seldomly uses styles will have to deal with 12 (IMHO not really "few") colors he/she wants to having nothing to do with. And there is no way he/she can delete the default styles he/she doesn't use to get rid of these colors. I personally have deviated away from directly applying colors and started using styles more since I reported the duplicate bug 128325. So this bug doesn't affect me that much anymore. But the question is, do we want to accommodate such less-than-ideal habits? From the recent addition of "autofilter by text or cell colors" feature in 7.2, I would think the answer is yes. --- P.S.: Just curious -- implementation work aside, would you support the idea of showing colors used by Writer's default character styles in document colors as well, Mike? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 107381] Default cell style colors shouldnt be included as document colors
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=107381 --- Comment #11 from Mike Kaganski --- Note that this request focuses on just one side of the workflow: someone uses a default set of styles, and selects "document colors", and sees some (few) unexpected values there. But implementing this proposal means that people are expected to *not* use styles as expected, because the following workflow is ignored: user creates a document (e.g. a spreadsheet), creates styles in it as they need, with colors they intend to use; and this intention is like painter preparing a palette. Not having those colors that user *declared explicit intention to use* on the palette of used colors is IMO absurd. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
