As the summary says, there is no data displayed. The attached file was created 
and modified with older versions of libreoffice.

After the LibreOffice 7.3.3 update, the zotero plugin has become unable to
enable and/or install... comes back with an error and asking to manually
install... doing the manual install same thing happens, an error that Zotero
could not be installed... 

the first error trying to enable: C++ code threw
N10jfw_plugin25MalformedVersionExceptionE: std::exception

Second error trying to enable: (com.sun.star.uno.RuntimeException) { { Message
= "C++ code threw N10jfw_plugin25MalformedVersionExceptionE: std::exception",

This did not happen before the 7.3.3 Update, ONLY after their update...

How to reproduce the issues:

1. Download Zotero, Download LibreOffice
2. Install both separately
3. Open LibreOffice... then open Zotero
4. Zotero automatically opens Office/LibreOffice integration wizard
5. Follow the steps given
6. Error Msg should come up...

Through LibreOffice...

1. Open LibreOffice
2. Click on "Extensions"
3. Look for Zotero, should be greyed out
4. Click on Zotero and click "enable"
5. Should bring up the two error message above

OS: macOS 12.3.1 (64bit Intel Based)
Processor: 2.6 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5
Memory: 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Storage/Size: 2 Tb
Browser: Firefox 100 64bit

Yes.

Additional information I

 - Right-click will always open the context menu, but for "Add to List" it is
necessary to "maintain" the selection of multiple strings (paragraphs) in a
variety of situations for "Add to List" to work as intended.

(and presumably other situations where multiple selections are necessary).

Simpler STR -- using just one string, which will demonstrate the same problem
that will happen with multiple selected strings.

1.  Enter this string "12345678"
2.  Select a piece or all of that string, starting with lower numbers toward a
higher number.
3.  Release left-click (which was used for select) to right-click (to open
context menu).

Actual result: Selection is lost, even if context menu is open.

Additional Information II

- Select from higher number to lower number, right-click, context menu opens,
and selection is maintained. Then click anywhere in canvas (so that context
menu closes), selection is maintained.

- In LTR selection, after releasing left-click, move mouse slightly back so
that it hovers somewhere in the selection, right-click, context menu opens, and
selection is maintained.

- It is only when you select LTR and right-click immediately -- which should be
considered a normal/typical/likely workflow - then the selection is lost.  I
believe that is what OP is reporting.

LibreOffice 7.3.3.2 crashes under Fedora 36 (problem already present in Fedora
35, probably with earlier version of LibreOffice) during startup.

Edited registrymodifications.xcu to remove references to the non-existent file;
suspected this may not work because there were 2 references to this missing
file which appeared identical. Starting oocalc after deleting these 
records results in LO going to 100% CPU.

Since LO doesn't like a modified registrymodifications.xcu; restored original
and created an empty file.  LO offers to open with an empty Text Import dialog;
OK results in 100% CPU.  Killed.

Try again; but hit Cancel on Text Import dialog leads to successfully opening
several documents.

Exit LO without saving any documents finally cleans up the recovery process.

Obviously not a user friendly way to get out of crashing...

If you want to import a table from HSQLDB you can't.
If you want to translate an HSQLDB into a Firebird database no table is
generated.

When Standard Filter is set and you only want to change the condition (e.g.
change '=' to '<>') it does not work unless you also update the value.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set a standard filter, e.g. A = 1
2. Change the condition of the standard filter, e.g. to A > 1 (without updating
the value 1) and click OK.

Actual Results:
The standard filter is not changed, the condition remains the same.

Expected Results:
The standard filter should be changed according to the new condition.

Tested again: with 7.3.3

The problem is still there, and it's worse than last time.
Now, it's a reproducible 30s delay when the printer queue service is running
but the sharing pc with it's usb-printer isn't present.


btw. I'm switched to Windows 11. As expected, the problem remains.

Notice: For reproducible tests the printer should be selected as standard
printer. So, uncheck the "Let windows manage my default printer" option.

A typical error scenario is that you are occasionally on the go with PC-mobile
and then cannot reach the pc-host. As soon as you stop the printer service, the
problem is gone. So, a workaround exists, but I think it should work without
it.

Sample DOCX file

Open the attached DOCX file in MS Word. It has a table with some equations in
it. In the first column the equations are rotated because the text orientation
is vertical.

However, when this file is opened in LO Writer, the equation gets misplaced and
becomes invisible (see ODG file with screenshots detailing the bug). Resizing
the column  has no effect on the formula visibility.

It seems the formula object is not being rotated either, because copying it and
pasting it somewhere else in the text results in a horizontally-oriented
object.

your LO test build is from 26 Apr (see

Indeed the bug depends on zoom level. On my machine I'm using 1920x1080
resolution on a 24 inch display and the bug does not happen at some zoom
values: 65%, 120% and 180% zoom. At other zoom levels the rendering problem is
there.

This seems to be a problem with how LO draws text on the screen. If I export
the sample file to PDF the problem disappears in the PDF file. See attached
PDF.

Take a document with a form and switch to Design Mode (menu Form). Then open
dialog "Form Properties" (menu Form). It has a drop-down list with label "Type
of submission" on tab "General". The list has the items "Get" and "Post". These
items should not be translated, because they are well defined technical terms.

I thought Msgbox wasn't called when hidding sheet but it's called, just
displays nothing.
So SbRtl_MsgBox is called but at this line
4353 OUString aMsg = rPar.Get(1)->GetOUString();
(see
https://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/basic/source/runtime/methods.cxx?r=070b34c2#4353),
it returns an empty string when the sheet is hidden.

Then I searched in sc/source/ui/vba/vbarange.cxx ScVbaRange::Range since it's
the pb is in range part but got lost.
can't help here=>uncc myself.

ummmthe Bullets and Numbering Bar appears for both list paragraphs and for
numbered paragraphs registered in Tools > Chapter Numbering (i.e., they are not
separated there). 

Have suggested (bug 148673 comment 5) making separate toolbars for list
paragraphs and paragraphs that appear in Chapter Numbering (Outline) (for
reasons being discussed here, even if it seems redundant).

Aha!  I noticed once that there were two copies, but thought that maybe it was
"operator error" -- good catch -- because the copies are inserted on top of
each other.

And then -- off-topic -- can you delete these media "shapes" with Ctrl+X?  (I
could not do this in Writer, with or without names. Had to use Delete.  (no
problem using Ctrl+X in Draw). I can file another ticket if appropriate.

I can't answer for the average user. I consider myself as an expert in using
Writer and I have clean ideas about typography (or I hope so).

The most difficult step for a newbie is to understand what defines in list in
Writer and what makes lists different from each other. A list is characterised
by a =list style=.

Paragraphs associated with the same list style are members of the same logical
list. Numbering may be restarted but all paragraphs nevertheless belong in the
same list. All will share the same numbering format (though the item text can
look different is the list style is associated with several paragraph styles).

Several logical lists are necessarily associated with different list styles.

One of these is chapter numbering. For safety, its list style is "internal"
(not listed in the side style pane) and therefore cannot be selected in
paragraph style configuration dialog. This eliminates a cause of confusion. You
must assign the paragraph style to an outline level in the specific chapter
numbering dialog.

What about the direct-format lists created with F12 or toolbar buttons?

Obviously, the clean list style mechanism has been tweaked to facilitate newbie
access to the feature. Contrary to explicitly styled lists, numbering
appearance can be changed item per item. All items are not part of a single
logical list and numbering can be changed from Format>Bullets & Numbering
without affecting all items, showing that they are split into "independent"
lists though they apparently share the same "style".

Compared to the rigorous definition of list through styles, this can even
confuse a newbie if a list was made "erratically" (items initially entered,
then some text with another list, then back to add more items to the first
list) as a modification of numbering properties will not show up on the full
"visual list" but only on the part where the cursor is.

The F12/toolbar button method may look like an easy way of creating lists, but
most newcomers/Word-switchers don't understand the underlying principle (to be
honest, it took me years to develop a satisfactory mental model, though I read
thoroughly the available documentation) and this makes even more difficult to
tune lists. The F12 method is acceptable only for one-shot short documents.

Unfortunately you can't request people reading first a dull caveat doc (to be
created) before using Writer. I fear there is no real solution to the problem
of list UI and "intuitiveness".

No. Chapter numbering is separate from list numbering (the style is "internal")
and must remain so to avoid subtle problems.

Also, CN had additional properties I'd like to see forwarded to lists. The most
valuable for me is the possibility to attach specific paragraph styles to
different levels. But this reverses the logic for list configuration. Presently
you attach a list style to a paragraph style, while my wish requires to attach
paragraph styles to a list style. This could break compatibility with existing
documents.
