[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 149688] New: Under Windows 10 with high contrast display on black background, the Writer's menu items disappear: written white on white
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=149688 Bug ID: 149688 Summary: Under Windows 10 with high contrast display on black background, the Writer's menu items disappear: written white on white Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.3.2.2 release Hardware: All OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: drape...@gmail.com Description: Writer ignores color selection from the high contrast (on Windows: Start> Setting> Ease of Access> Hi Contrast> High Contrast ON) and displays the text area with a White background with black letters where the background should be Black with white letters. The top menu items are written in white letters on a white background. They are unreadable. The ALT key enables the menu item and it will be correctly written with white letters on a black background. The frame of the window stays white, where it should be black. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Activate high contrast on the Windows platform (Start> Settings> Ease of Access> High Contrast> Hi Contrast ON) 2. Start LibreOffice, Writer Actual Results: Look at the menu and the frame of Writer. It is written white on white. The application background should be all Black with white letters, activators and menu. The center of the page should be black, not white. The elevators should be White on a black background. Expected Results: Like the rest of the applications running on Windows with High Contrast: The text, the Icons, the elevators should be White and the Background should be black. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: I don't have access to the Windows box. I configured my mother's machine remotely and I am disconnected from her box. It is running Windows 10 with LibreOffice 7.3 My mother has problems with her eyesight. I thought of using the same configuration as a colleague who has 25% eyesight. Bigger letters and higher contrast. LibreOffice runs perfectly but the interface is affected, it is unreadable. It is white on white. By pressing the Alt key we can activate the menu and then press down arrow. It is then normal behavior: white letters on black background. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 149082] Worse text rendering in a line with a formula in Writer - LibreOffice 7.3

An interesting thing about this bug is that I can't reproduce it if the formula is plain text or very simple, but I can consistently reproduce it with a more complex formula, for example: "dy over dx = lim from {h -> 0} {{f(x+h) - f(x)} over h}" -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 112740] FILESAVE: DOCX - Save cursor position
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=112740 --- Comment #4 from Roland Hughes --- (In reply to Justin L from comment #3) > Of course, care needs to be taken to delete any existing _GoBack bookmarks > while doing this. And of course no point in saving this if LO can't read it > back first. > > See bug 112742 comment 3 for info on how ODT imports this info. Exporting is > likely done via xmloff/source/core/xmlexp.cxx ImplExportStyles. > > Exporting ViewSettings in DOCX is docxexport WriteSettings(). The point I was making in the other bug marked as duplicate of this one is that I don't believe the last position was ever saved in the document. The reason for this belief is I use a lot of machines between my office and home. Store many/most of my important documents on a NAS. At least the important ones I'm currently working on. I fill in all of the contact information for LO in my account on each machine. Back when this worked for both, it didn't work across machines. If I spent the day in my office editing something and saved it before going in for supper then opened the same document on the same NAS with my laptop from within the house, it didn't go back to the same line on my laptop. If my laptop had opened it before, then it went back to the same line the laptop remembered. This operated as if the document and last position were being stored in an INI/Settings type file specific to each user on each machine. There as probably some failure to clean up (how could LO ever know you were really done?) which lead to some kind of size/performance issue parsing that file(s). Were I to guess, that would be my guess. It is based on behavior I observed. Were it stored in the document I would have always returned to the last position no matter which machine. Storing in the document also opens up a major can of worms. Fred spends the morning working on pages 123-152. He saves the document with is cursor in the middle of page 151. Sally spend a couple of hours after lunch working in the same document file on the same NAS. Her edits are in the page range of 41-54. She exits and saves with cursor in first position of page 54. Jill spends a couple of hours working on the document in the evening using the exact same file on the exact same NAS. She started adding pages at 184 and got on a roll. The document is now 248 pages long. When she saves and exits the cursor is in the dead last position of the file. Which one wins? If you are storing the file and last position locally per user in a Settings/INI/etc. file, the feature behaves __exactly__ as each user expects. When they open the file up the cursor goes right back to their personal last known position. If you store it as a bookmark in the file, last one in wins and two other users file bug reports about last position being broken. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=107545 Justin L changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEW |RESOLVED Resolution|--- |INVALID --- Comment #7 from Justin L --- If the request is the actual file name as stored on the disk rather than the title of the template, then I would consider this irrelevant, especially since we treat DOCX the same way we treat ODT. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=112740 Justin L changed: What|Removed |Added CC||jl...@mail.com Depends on||112742 --- Comment #3 from Justin L --- Of course, care needs to be taken to delete any existing _GoBack bookmarks while doing this. And of course no point in saving this if LO can't read it back first. See bug 112742 comment 3 for info on how ODT imports this info. Exporting is likely done via xmloff/source/core/xmlexp.cxx ImplExportStyles. Exporting ViewSettings in DOCX is docxexport WriteSettings(). So where is the problem? Jay is gone, so will not reply. I didn't stop and think this before. Jay wanted us to start saving the full filename to the template field. Maybe it is an irrelevant request. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 107545] DOCX: Template filename and not title should be saved
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=107545 Justin L changed: What|Removed |Added CC||jl...@mail.com --- Comment #5 from Justin L --- I don't get it. When I open Happy Valentine.docx, I see create from template "Valentine's Day card.dot" which sounds logical. When LO creates a new document from "Letter template", then on a DOCX round-trip I see it is created from template "Letter template" which sounds logical and is identical to what happens if I save to ODT. I tested this using bibisect 7.1 oldest. So where is the problem? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 149682] New: Run Macro dialog should be able to run a macro without immediately closing the dialog
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=149682 Bug ID: 149682 Summary: Run Macro dialog should be able to run a macro without immediately closing the dialog Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.3.2.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: LibreOffice Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: rafael.palma.l...@gmail.com Suppose you have to run multiple macros on your document, multiple times. For each of them you need to: 1) Go to Tools - Macros - Run Macro (this opens the Macro Selector dialog) 2) Then you need to Navigate to the desired macro using the Library and Macro Name areas in the dialog (note that by default no macro is selected, even if you ran a macro previously). So the user must navigate to the desired macro every time. 3) Select the macro and click Run 4) This will close the dialog window and run the macro This workflow is OK if you run macros very rarely. But if you need to run various macros multiple times, it becomes very cumbersome. One way to improve this would be to remember the previously selected macro, so that the previously used Library and Macro Name would be automatically selected the next time you open the Macro Selector dialog. This has already been requested in bug 145978. In this enhancement request, I would like to propose an additional approach. We could have a checkbox named "[X] Close dialog after execution" in the dialog, which would be checked by default to replicate the current behavior of the dialog. However, if this option is unchecked, the selected macro is executed but the dialog stays open so that another macro can be selected and run. I would like to propose 3 additional items for this enhancement proposal: 1) The checkbox state needs to be saved and remembered the next time you open the dialog (and the next time you open LO) 2) This dialog could be made non-modal so that the user can run macros and edit the sheet more quickly 3) The feature proposed in bug 145978 should also be implemented, so that each time we open the dialog, it remembers the previously selected library and macro. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

(In reply to Timur from comment #11) > Single remaining issue in this bug are 3 page breaks that LO opens which I > don't see in original MSO DOCX after pages 2, 19, 20. I see a w:br Page specified in document.xml at page 2 and a few other places. I also see a few continuous section breaks (sectpr) which always give lots of trouble b/c LO doesn't have an equivalent concept. Plenty of bug reports related to that. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 149655] Crash: "Helplines while moving" crashes debug-build
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=149655 Julien Nabet changed: What|Removed |Added CC||noelgran...@gmail.com --- Comment #2 from Julien Nabet --- Reverting a447b5b6d1114111c92e5e3e3f3ae83d4c2f3bca (loplugin:moveit) partly (just in svx/source/sdr/overlay/overlaytools.cxx) makes the crash disappear. Noel: I understand that moving data instead of copying is interesting but if there's no safeguard to avoid a crash here or a missing context like https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=c0e66cfab12d6c78d68af09498533362724dbd05), perhaps we should revert them and wait a bit to improve loplugin:moveit? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
