Steps to Reproduce: 1. save the document 2. produce a crash (not easy but could be managed) 3. chose recover document (autorecovery) Actual Results: the last edit which was saved is ignored Expected Results: the last edit before the "save" (by the user) action should be present, not reverted... [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 155740] Support distinction rather than override of conflicting subdocument styles
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=155740 --- Comment #17 from Eyal Rozenberg --- (In reply to Shu Zhang from comment #16) > like mike said use the paste special function, and then you can keep the > source style names. Is this function solve your issue, or do you think this > paste special function missing something you needed? Even if this was a reasonable thing to do conceptually, I couldn't keep the source style names, in general, for two reasons: 1. Many of them are the default/built-in style names. 2. Other are styles derived from those default styles (although perhaps that's a different issue) it's also not reasonable, since pasting defeats the whole purpose of a master document, which is having links to subdocuments rather than copies of their contents. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 36799] If you insert an envelope into a document only the envelope is printed on macOS
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=36799 --- Comment #40 from Alec K --- This bug is still present in: Version: 7.5.4.2 (AARCH64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 36ccfdc35048b057fd9854c757a8b67ec53977b6 CPU threads: 10; OS: Mac OS X 13.4; UI render: default; VCL: osx Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded When printing, after inserting an envelope, the print dialog only includes that envelope. After closing that print dialog, however, another print dialog immediately appears with the remaining pages, and excluding the envelope. This behavior allows one to print the entire document, and may warrant marking this bug as resolved, however it does not seem possible to print the entire document at once. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 151342] Animation sidebar rendering cut off in a displeasing manner
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=151342 --- Comment #21 from Eyal Rozenberg --- (In reply to V Stuart Foote from comment #20) > No. There is nothing incorrect in UI where a tree view text string or name > of a given element being animated not being fully displayed. > > > (several paragraphs about text wrapping) That's not the problem. The problem is with the inscription covering the empty list of effects; with the boxes for category and effect etc. Have a look at the screenshot. But - even those are just symptoms of the fundamental problem: The problem of the sidebar width is set to a value which the user did not set it to, and cannot set it to. It does not make sense for the sidebar to be visible on startup, but set to a width below the minimum. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 132136] Request for a new spreadsheet function SHEETNAME()
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=132136 Wolfgang Jäger changed: What|Removed |Added CC||j...@psilosoph.de --- Comment #5 from Wolfgang Jäger --- As compared to the soulution by a BASIC UDF above workarounds -even if again supported by user code- are complicated and error-prone. There are lots of similar solutions around. Well the minimal solution isn't eligible for array-evaluation, but this should be another easy hack. Why anymore talk about workarounds? Are there stringent reasons to not create the new function? I can't see one except the need to find a "sustainable" name which is not in conflict with related functions of competitors where compatibility should not be endangedered. A conceivable alternative would be to give the SHEET() function an optional second pparameter. If it is missing (or 0) the function works as usual. With argument 1 in this position it returns the exact name of the sheet, with 2 the apostrophe-written name. The sheet itself is given then either by a reference in the first place, or by the 1-based index. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 156194] New: When no locale-specific thesaurus is available, fallback to a language-only one
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=156194 Bug ID: 156194 Summary: When no locale-specific thesaurus is available, fallback to a language-only one Product: LibreOffice Version: Inherited From OOo Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: eyalr...@gmx.com Some languages have multiple local variants, e.g. en-US, en-UK, en-ZA etc. In fact, they may have dozens more which don't have any specific definitions. And if such a locale is used in LO, we don't get to use various mechanisms which are currently locale-specific with no language-level fallback. One of these is the Thesaurus. A recent example has been en-IL: bug 156101. That one was solved by manually adding it as one of the locales covered by en-US. I suggest that, as a general measure, there will be a fallback to a language-level default thesaurus/dictionary file/fileset, so that the same procedure need not be repeated whenever one uses an uncommon locale we have not specifically catered to. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 156193] New: Need to distinguish between intent of inserting a shape once and multiple times
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=156193 Bug ID: 156193 Summary: Need to distinguish between intent of inserting a shape once and multiple times Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Impress Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: eyalr...@gmx.com When one clicks a shape in the Shapes deck of the sidebar, and draws a bounding rectangle for the shape - in some cases, the active tool goes back to something other than drawing that shape; and in some cases, the shape remains the active tool, and drawing a rectangle or just clicking somewhere inserts another instance of the shape. There are two issues here: 1. It is difficult for the user to predict when either of the cases will occur with a press on a shape. 2. The visual indication in the sidebar - a (double) frame around the shape - does not seem to distinguish between these two states. I believe this should merits UI designer attention and thought. Among other ideas, perhaps we should default to single-instantiation-always upon the first click on the shape, and only enter "repeat insertion mode" on a double click or second click? Similarly to how the Android's on-screen keyboard's shift key behaves w.r.t. entering uppercase letters? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
