* I'm not barking (as Spanish speaker, yo should know that some times to say
somebody is barking could be offensive)
* This is not the wrong tree, I'm suggesting LibreOffice change a possibly
erroneous and unclear translation, and I'm not asking anything to Microsoft (I
donĀ“t mind if they change or not their translations)
* Microsoft is so embarrassed with their wrong translation that they currently
don't show the SIFEHA() function between the date functions (but allow to use
it)
* Although I think our functions' translations shouldn't differ from the
Microsoft one's, to facilitate users transition between suits, in this case, as
the don't use the function any more we could change translation without any
problem

Yes, that ship sailed a while ago. We added a note to the relevant help pages,
and even a link to a Google book that mentions it.

Forgive me, but what is the problem with giving it an understandable
translation?

In my opinion, the current translation easily leads to error than having a
better translation.
In fact, the origin of this bug is a discussion in Telegram LibreOffice-ES.
https://t.me/libreoffice_es/90184.

If I'm not mistaken, in the files the original English function is saved, so I
think there shouldn't be a compatibility concern.

I don't know if perhaps at some point it was decided to follow Excel's
translations, whether we liked them or not.
