Two "hints", first is that DOC/DOCX are not native to LibreOffice and must be
filter imported. Direct formatting applied in MS Word will not necessarily be
handled the same on import to LibreOffice and ODF. Sometimes better to save as
ODF .odt from MS Word and then open that--especially if you have edits to do to
the document.

The other, enable display of "non-printing characters" (+F10) or the
Toolbar button. That will display the paragraph ending "pilcrow" character and
allow you to identify where direct formatting, or styles, are being applied.

The line spacing style was applied to the entire paragraph.

I am unable to duplicate this bug while creating a new document or while saving
as DOCX format.

However this effect was noticed while opening a DOC format resume and making
corrections and saving as DOCX format.
Will update this thread again, when i get to work on .DOC format and see if
issue persists.

You'll do best to make the changes using paragraph styles.

Each paragraph will have a style applied. Select all, and then apply the same
style to all--normally that would be "Default style". But any style would do.

Check that each paragraph actually has the same style applied--if not select
all and apply the same (e.g. Styles -> "Text Body" or "Default Paragraph").

Edit the style for the selection (Style -> Edit Style), and check the "Indents
& Spacing" tab for spacing "above paragraph", "below paragraph", and line
spacing from the drop list.

Please work through that and close if your issue is resolved by using styles
correctly.
