The safe mode dialog allows you to reset your user profile (at the bottom, Reset to factory settings, entire profile). I tried it a couple of times and it worked perfectly and didn't crash." Mike: can you try one more thing: launch from the command line with libreoffice --safe-mode (so without the SAL_ thing) You will see a big dialog. Click continue in Safe mode. Then try to replicate the crash. The safe mode is a temporary state.
