Especially since the answer is: "it depends on your version and arch of macOS
and sometimes also on the version of JDK as to whether or not the JDK is
recognized."

This is saying: after updating macOS, no more freezes with LO.

Glad, this problem is solved for you. Generally it is a good idea to keep macOS
updated as otherwise your system will be lacking very important security fixes
which is a situation you would not want to be in, if you connect your mac to
the internet.

Setting to worksforme. The remaining java question would be a good candidate
for https://ask.libreoffice.org/

@Alex: Es ist mir nicht bewußt, daß ich screenreader oder Ähnliches verwende.
Ich glaube, ich verwende das nicht. Aber vielleicht hatte ich mal etwas
installiert, was derartige Funktionen ausübt.

@all: by the way, i'm using java as well. Because i'm using .jar files as
executable applications like dirsyncpro or mucommander. But i'm not sure how i
did it to have it working.
I think, macOS is a bit different from using java than other operatingsystems.
But i don't know how to use it with LibreOffice. Because in the settings didn't
find any java runtime. So LibreOffice is not recognizing the installed java
runtime.
But i don't think that i need the java runtime wiht LibreOffice, because it's
working without also. or is there any benefit of java runtime?

Ah, sorry, I see I already asked you this question earlier, and you replied
that you didn't. Unfortunately, the crash log seems to point in the direction
of an accessibility issue.

@Jan : the crash log seems to be pointing to a HI (human interface) problem. I
also see references to "ax", which is the accessibility code. It is also
(still) calling stuff from the CarbonUI API which is pretty much deprecated in
all of the modern versions of macOS these days.

Do you have any macOS accessibility tools running, e.g. dictation, or speech,
screen magnification, or some other 3rd party tools that provide similar
accessibility functionality ?

There are two macOS Mojave updates you are missing on your system. You could
try if anything changes after installing them. But I doubt they will. On the
other hand computers are mystic machines so who knows...

Thanks for the crash log - hope that someone more knowledgeable will be able to
take a look next week.

Just to assure that it isn't a corrupt LibreOffice user profile.

Does the problem also occur, when running in "Safe Mode" ("Help -> Restart in
Safe Mode" and button "Continue in Safe Mode")?

@Jan Please share the crash log. Trigger the crash and once the repot shows,
copy all info to TextEdit. Save as txt file and attach the resulting file to
this bug under Attachments.

Besides that, if you are not using Java runtime environment, please disable the
setting in Preferences > LibreOffice > Advances, confirm with OK, restart LO
and see if the issues then still persist.

i don't have extensions installed. i've just found dictionaries and solver for
nonlinear problems, actually don't know what is this.

i don't have jdk installed and it's not recognized by libreoffice, but the
checkbox is activated to use jdk. is this maybe a problem?

"- do you have any macOS accessibility features activated, e.g. screen reader,
screen magnifier, dictation, etc."

no, nothing like this is activated

i'm having intel mac, iMac late 2012, running macOS Mojave. So i still have
32-bit applications.

i wonder why libreoffice is so weak after updating to the latest version. i
didn't have problems like this, since i'm using openoffice and later
libreoffice. and i'm using this office-sweat already a very long time, since
version 0.xx openoffice.
running on windows, linux and lately macos. really a great product!

@Jan : could you provide us a little more information :

- do you have any LibreOffice extensions installed, and if so, which ones ?

- do you have any JDK installed, and if so, which one is declared/recognized by
LO under the Preferences > Advanced dialog ?

- do you have any macOS accessibility features activated, e.g. screen reader,
screen magnifier, dictation, etc.

Unfortunately, I can not reproduce the behaviour that you have reported on my
Mac (OS 11.5.2 Arm M1)
