Have attached a screenshot of the relevant page as requested - this is the first page of Chapter 34 and is numbered 319, continuing from the previous page. In the top right hand corner you can see where I have typed this number for reference. And in the footer is the arbitrary page number I get when I re-open the file, such as on this attachment (63?75?whatever? Any number other than 319.) Pagination worked fine until Chapter 27, at which time a Ubuntu 14.04 UPDATE was automatically downloaded and installed. The problem has persisted since then, so . ? Over to you - and many thanks. Did you (a) save the document and then (b) reopen it? I'm not stoopid. I'm a professional writer. I've done hundreds and hundreds of ms. pages with LibreOffice and know how to use it. I have made no changes in HOW I use it. And I repeat: this problem has only occurred since a Ubuntu 14.01 Update. What I propose to do, in a week's time when I return home from holidays, is download and install LibreOffice on a Windows machine and see if the same problem exists. Until I get back to you on this, I request that this bug remains OPEN until my problem is resolved.
