[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 96425] Is there a way to save outline settings for use in other documents?
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96425 --- Comment #5 from Buovjaga--- Sorry for not thinking of this earlier, but how about modifying your default template to contain the styles: https://help.libreoffice.org/Writer/Changing_the_Default_Template I don't see why having the necessary styles always at hand would be an ugly kludge. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 96425] Is there a way to save outline settings for use in other documents?
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96425 --- Comment #4 from ericpaulkatz--- Thank you for your reply. The fix you suggest would only partially resolve the problem. It assumes that I only use an outline in a particular kind of document, or that I use outlines in isolation from other kinds of writing. If that were the case, then every time I want an outline, I could open the template and start. However, I (and other writers) often include an outline in the middle of some larger document. Sometimes we do not know that there even will be an outline included until the document is partly finished. Sometimes I start by writing prose, get half-way through, and then revert to outline as a way of quickly sketching out the end (to be fleshed out at a future session). In order for me to use your template solution, I would have to use the template for every document, just in case I should decide to include an outline. This is an ugly kluge, but I cannot deny that it would work.
