We see only standart message that is shown in almost all cases when not saving
in ODF format - This document may contain formatting of content that cannot
be saved in the currently selected file format Microsoft Excel 97/2000/XP/2003.
Use the default ODF file format to be sure that the document is saved
correctly. And no a word, that some of content would be missed.

Of course, a test with 3.6 sources some days ago means it's slightly different

On pc Debian x86-64 with master sources updated yesterday, I think I
reproduced the problem.
- created some data
- select data/click on chart then finish (to use defaults options)
- right click Format Chart Area...
- Borders, style continuous
= only top and left have a border.
I don't know how to have a thick border to top and left and a thin border to
right and bottom, that's why I mentionned I think I reproduced.

I noticed that if I change width to anything other than 0 value, everything is
ok.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 53070] freeze/hang when connecting to ADO source (e.g. MS Access 2003 mdb / 2007 accdb)

2012-11-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=53070

(In reply to comment #40)
 (In reply to comment #39)
I've looked a bit at the log of changes in connectivity/source/drivers/ado.
What strikes me as weird is:

  Commit 8256eb0205fcddb79a67be13d6507b2653ff5e08
  Author: Matúš Kukan matus.ku...@gmail.com 2012-04-07 14:09:40
  Committer: David Tardon dtar...@redhat.com 2012-05-29 07:24:43

 connectivity: remove unused adabas files

  REMOVES files:

  connectivity/source/drivers/ado/AKeyColumn.cxx
  connectivity/source/drivers/ado/AKeyColumns.cxx

It is not weird at all, actually. git log says these files had never been
 compiled.

  Commit fc6d226a0ed0e493a33d5f82edcedec0ddd37ec7
  Author: David Tardon dtar...@redhat.com 2012-03-10 19:00:43
  Committer: David Tardon dtar...@redhat.com 2012-03-12 08:53:56

WaE: missing braces around initializer for 'unsigned char [8]'

  -- connectivity/source/drivers/ado/adoimp.cxx
...
 (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa373931(VS.85).aspx). The commit
just adds braces around the initializer for the Data4 array.
--
@David Tardon:
David, let's recover the files that have been deleted on May 29:
 1. Access problems began at about this time.
 2. I think that the patch has not been used in LibO-35.
 3. The patch (made by March 12) eliminates problems with connecting to the
Access-98\2000.

On pc Debian x86-64 with master and 3.6 sources both updated yesterday, I could
minimize the presentation.
I noticed this kind of logs:

warn:legacy.osl:10929:1:/home/julien/compile-libreoffice/libo/xmloff/source/draw/shapeexport.cxx:719:
XMLShapeExport::exportShape(), exception caught!

MagicVince: could you give a try to a newer LO version (3.5.7 or 3.6.2)?

Could someone give a link to a video file supported by Impress?
Impress supports all video formats on Linux. It is because it uses Gstreamer.
On Windows not tested yet. Just use Linux distros made in Europe, there
Gstreamer and FFmpeg are not corrupted.

What about initial description of problem: reproduced in 3.6.2

(In reply to comment #41)
David, let's recover the files that have been deleted on May 29:
  1. Access problems began at about this time.

I repeat: these files have nothing to do with it. I merged a branch that
converted module connectivity (where the ado driver is placed) to gbuild at
that date. In all probability the problem was caused by that conversion
(missing exported symbols, most likely).

  2. I think that the patch has not been used in LibO-35.

No. But neither were the files.

  3. The patch (made by March 12) eliminates problems with connecting to the
 Access-98\2000.

Huh?

Experimented with second attachment in 3.6.2 on RFR 17 64bit
The same result. After minimizing picture remains 1024x768pixels, though it
takes small part of slide in presentation, therefore it's resolution should be
reduced.

I do not know. Sorry for this. In original Fedora video also not working. In

problem with video and audio disappeared. I do not know how to solve this
problem manually. May be exist such analogue of Debian, where all working by
default, without manually repairing. Sorry for can not tell something useful.
IMHO video should working by default in Mandriva and Mageia, because they made
in France (no patents problem).

Without that the trace is not so useful.

And in general, Xinerama / multi-head issues in gtk+ are my fault ;-) so I'm

Hi Julien,

valgrind --tool=callgrind --simulate-cache=yes --dump-instr=yes ./soffice.bin
--splash-pipe=0 ~/compile-libreoffice/bugs/39179/callgrind.txt

So - the command-line you're running after ./soffice.bin is just the same as if
you're launching the app itself; so you need to pass the path to the test file
you want to load to provoke the slowness :-)

so /path/to/docx/file is what I should have written.

Any chance of another try ? :-)

Bug 53070 deals with MS-Access and its drivers.

That's how the reporter wrote it, but it is the same problem. The drivers that
LibreOffice calls MS Access (2003/2007) is an automagic configuration around
the ADO driver.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 55870] When copying filtered table, which contains subtotals, from calc and pasting as GDI Metafile into writer, wrong values are pasted.

2012-11-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon

--- Comment #6 from Nikos gdna7...@hotmail.com ---
Changed component to writer. I don't know if this is really a writer issue or a
calc issue, but I got the feeling if I don't select something, simply nobody
will ever look at it.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 56235] Double border for calc-result returns one fat line

2012-11-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=56235

--- Comment #2 from Peter Svendsen peter...@gmail.com ---
As stated in bug-cause I'm trying to put two lines under a result.
I've tried fiddling with the thickness and the various double border options
... but same result :(
For some reason the 'look for updates' only returns an error message and the
version is 3.6.3.1 Build ID: f8fce0b
I begin to get hint of double-line when up around 3,5-4 pt. but it looks like
arse with such thick lines, and that's what's bothering me because it works as
one would suspect when in OOo.
Same sheet, same everything, but aesthetically as mess in Libre and not so in
OOo.
I don't get it :(

forgot to mention that the double line effect is visible in the small window
where you manage which sides of a cell should have the border pretty much no
matter what border configuration I choose .. it's first when applied the
problem appears on the actual sheet.
Annoying

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 54169] Don't show accelerators on Ubuntu

2012-11-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=54169

--- Comment #3 from Michael Meeks michael.me...@novell.com ---
I guess we would need to add some VCL support for underline accelerators
appearing only on alt keypress. I assume it's fine to continue to write Ctrl+O
in the File menu against Open (eg.) ? :-)

I guess that something like:

void OutputDevice::DrawCtrlText( const Point rPos, const XubString rStr,
 xub_StrLen nIndex, xub_StrLen nLen,
 sal_uInt16 nStyle, MetricVector* pVector,
String* pDisplayText )

Which has a nStyle that controls whether the mnemonic text is rendered or not
would need some hackery - and clearly we'd need to trigger a re-draw of any
controls that include such text as/when the user hits the Alt button in various
dialogs.

And we'd need a style-setting from the gtk+ backend / theme to detect whether
or not to do that. It's quite do-able;

Patches more than welcome :-)

gst-launch playbin2 uri=file:///demo/media/file.mp3

Does that show a window for the file and play the audio ? how about
gst-launch-0.10 ?

Quite possibly I busted the packaging of this with the gst 1.0 support. Can you
do:

strace -e file -f ./soffice 21 | grep gst # and add the video

Hopefully that'll show what libraries get loaded.

Thanks for the report !

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 54669] FORMATTING: Paragraph indent incorrect with left border line + spacing

2012-11-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=54669

--- Comment #3 from stfhell stfh...@googlemail.com ---
Yes, it's a very old bug.
The original intention must have been that all paragraph settings for indents
or tabs do not take into account any additional spacing that comes with the
border frame: If you set an indent or tab stop at 5 cm, it will be 5 cm + the
border spacing from the margin. It works in principle, just the virtual tab
stop that LO automatically defines with hanging-indent-paragraphs forgets to
add the additional border spacing.

The ruler is a bit confusing with frame spacing as it shows the internally
corrected indent or tab stop positions, not the values defined in the par
properties. But the ruler obviously reflects LO's layout mechanism: If you
define a paragraph with both left border spacing and a left indent, LO formats
this way:
paragraph indent - frame + spacing - paragraph contents
and not:
frame + spacing - paragraph indent - paragraph contents
It would probably make more sense to grey out the frame spacing part in the
ruler and start the normal paragraph ruler at the real paragraph border.

(re Comment #2)
strangely OOo 3.3 formats the first paragraph of the without-border section
differently (starts at 2cm) from other versions.
The very first paragraph in the document? That would be very strange, because
it has neither indents nor tabs. But seems corrected in AOO 3.4.1, where the
file looks the same as in LO.

Can you provide a 3.6 build with symbols?

Forward porting 3.6.x to Fedora doesn't look like an easy road.

Here is the message I get. When I click Yes, nothing happens.

Problem description:

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Table in Table view
2. Locate bad record
3. Try to delete the record

Current behavior: Record not deleted

Expected behavior: Record deleted
I have some erroneous records in a table. When I look at the data in Table
view, I find the bad records and try to delete them. I get the confirmation
message asking if I want to delete the record. I click Yes but the record is
not deleted. I tried deleting a valid record (which I can put back in) and it
was deleted.

Libre Office version Version 3.6.3.2 (Build ID: 58f22d5)

OS - Fedora FC17_64 with all current updates

Engine - HSQL 1.8.1.3-7.FC17

PC - Intel quad core @ 3.00 GHZ

Memory - 8 GB

I have open problems in the Forums and I was able to upload my database file.
Is that possible here or do I need to find the forums or report this as a bug?

Thank you,
Vince Radice

p.s. I will upload the database file if necessary. It is about 780 mb.

Platform (if different from the browser):

Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:16.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/16.0

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 55633] CRASH when FILEOPEN particular .ODS

2012-11-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=55633

--- Comment #23 from Nikolaus Kühn ku...@excentos.com ---
Hi everyone,

thanks a lot for digging through this mess of a bug - I have just installed the
official 3.6.3 release on my WinVista64 Core2Duo and the good news is that I
cannot reliably reproduce the crash on startup now (tried seven times in
various ways). Nevertheless I had a random crash on one of the tries, but I
can't reproduce that now.

The does not respond upon changes in the document issue has improved
massively but is still there:
 - changing a cell that has a lot of impact (e.g. Scenarios:P1 from 1 to
3) blocks the UI for ~15 seconds (It was 2-3 Minutes in 3.6.2, but takes less
than a second in OOo 3.4.1)
 - changing a cell that has not so much impact is much slower (2-3 seconds on
the first change, less than a second on subsequent changes)

@Rainer Bielefeld: I suspect this should be a separate Issue - can you
reproduce the performance Issue?

Might be that the fix for Bug 36124 - R1C1 absolute/relative reference
conversion broken is responsible for the crash?

@Spreadsheet Team
Please set Status to ASSIGNED and add yourself to Assigned To if you accept
this Bug or forward the Bug if it's not your turf (and remove others in team

Please attach a document that shows this issue. Best would be a package that
has both the labels and a document to sync to.

Marking as NEEDINFO, once you attach the document please mark as UNCONFIRMED
and I'll go ahead and take a look at it. Thanks for your patience and help in
this one.

This is not a duplicate of that bug. I will test on 3.6.1.2 this evening to see
what I can find out.

Verified, we either have to update the help file to remove this or make it
functional again.

For second question, I recommend emailing the user list, probably get an answer
within a day :)

Marking as NEW and prioritizing

Minor: Doesn't prevent professional quality work, just makes it harder to use a
feature that isn't used often. Navigator still an option which works

http://help.libreoffice.org/Writer/Navigator

Low: Not used often, could be just a matter of taking it out of the help pages
(if it was purposely removed)
