I though there is only one, but actually there are at least three (Adding this comment I realized that all of those seem to prevent taking screen shots in GNOME and GIMP). Interestingly there is no menu in global options to manage palettes or colors, only the set of colors used for charts. I'll attach the palette dialogs in a moment. > And what's a user-defined color? The "custom color palette" or the "custom > color" button in one of the color widget buttons in the > toolbar/notebookbar/sidebar? A color is not a button: A "user-defined color" is some specific color the user wants to use more than once, so preferably stored in some palette under a selectable name. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127510 Bug ID: 127510 Summary: Priority ordering of conditional formatting in Calc as proposed in Bug 74074, Comment 19, is insufficient (see also bug 127252) Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.3.0.0.beta2+ Hardware: All OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: marc.cla...@gmail.com (This bug entered on request of Mike Kaganski in comment 2 of bug 127252 - thanks Mike!) Ordering of the conditional formatting priority can be set in the “Conditional” menu → “Manage...” item → “Edit...” pop-up window with the "Up"- and "Down"-button (although this does not work properly; see bug 74074 - as proposed in comment 19 - and bug 127252). This is, however, not sufficient. When multiple conditional formats apply (even to different – but overlapping! - ranges), the order of priority of these should ALSO be changeable (with an “Up” and “Down” button in “Conditional” menu → “Manage...” pop-up window). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

When activated it hides the document and makes the comments larger, centres them and bunches them together vertically, i.e. their position on the y axis is no longer dependent on the position of the text they relate to. I'd like to establish whether or not there is any interest in this upstream, as I would like to submit it if so. I've attached screenshots of what my implementation looks like. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 127040] HSQLDB to Firebird automated migration failure when record size exceeds 64k
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127040 --- Comment #28 from Julien Nabet --- Alex: I created a Firebird embedded database from scratch then just copied pasted the 'CREATE TABLE "Table1" ( "ID" IN... ' from initial comment in Tools/SQL part in order to be sure we don't call anything related to migration (except the request of course). I could reproduce the error *unsuccessful metadata update *new record size of 116772 bytes is too big I took a look to https://stackoverflow.com/questions/822837/firebird-utf8-varchar-size, we got this: "Using the UTF8 character set for VARCHAR(N) fields needs to reserve enough space for any N UTF8 characters" So even if in the insert requests you'll make, you won't fill each column entirely, the total size of all columns (so record size) contained in your table must be 64k max. Then I thought perhaps migration code should generate a "Create table" request by using another charset to avoid to use 4 bytes for each character. So I tried to add "character set iso8859_1" to one of the line, eg: "SongLyrics3" VARCHAR(5000) character set iso8859_1, I got: *unsuccessful metadata update *Table1 *CHARACTER SET ISO8859_1 is not installed caused by 'CREATE TABLE "Table1" ( ... Same result with "WIN1250" Finally I tried the example of Uniloader link to try to reproduce the error, I could create a table with: CREATE TABLE TEST_SOURCE( A VARCHAR(1400) DEFAULT '' , B INTEGER DEFAULT 0 ); then could insert a line with: INSERT INTO TEST_SOURCE (A,B) VALUES('TOM',10); -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Had a "heated" discussion about this with MikeK at the LibreOffice conference. My POV is that very seldom needed functions clutter the UI and impacts usability (more things to learn, to maintain, to translate...). We removed the ability to load/save color palettes some years ago in favor of extensions. (I created one to export the user palette.) [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 127469] Allow import of color palettes in some "popular" formats
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127469 --- Comment #7 from Ulrich Windl --- (In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #6) > (...) My POV is that very seldom needed functions clutter the UI and > impacts usability (more things to learn, to maintain, to translate...). If memory serves me right it was in LO 4 when the dialogs became "big and almost empty", making me wonder why to waste so much screen space (in the meantime they were re-filled a bit). So my point of view is that an UI done properly can handle more feature than an UI done poorly without overloading the user. UI design is very much a matter of taste, but I noticed that some (personal opinion follows) important features were dropped, some less needed (Avoiding "useless") features were added, and some really bad "design solutions" were kept (like the only palette available in Tools->Options: Well hidden and the least important palette IMHO). So leaving all taste aside: I still think importing and exporting palette files in some well-documented formats is a useful thing to have. The "average day user" probably never defined a new color or changed on in a palette, so that user probably wouldn't ever see the "complicated UI" you are afraid of. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

It seems it happens only with the arithmetic symbols - + and *. It does not happen with = It happens with versions 6.2.5, 6.2.7 and 6.3 I use of to write dialog in a novel, as I don't want all the text indented but only the first line with a hyphen, as it happens with bullet points. If this is not a bug it was not a good idea to implement it, at least for people like me. However in previous versions of libreoffice I could do it without a problem. Steps to Reproduce: 1.press tab key in a new line 2.press -, + or * and a blank space. Then write something 3.press return. Actual Results: the tab indentation will disappear and the - is justified to the left. Expected Results: I don't know what you mean with expected results. I would expect the TAB indentation to stay like when I do the same with any other sing.
