Looks like we're stuck then.
Any tables that have SUM(VARCHAR(N)) > 64K will fail with default UTF-8
encoding, and even if we could use ISO8859_1, it would fail to pick up
non-ASCII data and probably then fail elsewhere (truncation ?).
