Marked as DUP of fdo#53070. Until someone fixes the 3.6 builds made
available to the general public, this problem will continue to plague users.

Even then, the VCR version fix does not itself appear to fully resolve
the problem - LO doesn't seem to hang, but the database still ca not be
loaded. A PITA regression for all those Windows users who still need to
be able to read these files, even if it just to migrate.

The behaviour is confirmed in comment 4.
And reported as a windows bug...
And indeed, connecting to an mdb is normally possible. So either it's a
bug in Libre, or a problem with that specific mdb..

Cheers,

I use Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. I installed the MDBTool after which I
downloaded the file from the Bug report. I had no problem exporting the
file's tables in CSV format to a separate folder.
I then created a Base database document file connecting to the
text files in this folder. I used 3 versions of LO to open the database
document file: 3.4.6, 3.5.6, and 3.6.2.
3.4.6 reported an error: The data could not be loaded. The query
could not be executed. It contains no valid columns. This was true for
all tables.
3.5.6 and 3.6.2 both loaded the data into all the tables. I could
upload a zipped file containing the exported files to this Bug report if
someone wants to see them.
